It’s Show Time in Fishers, and the town is casting an ensemble of residents to develop community arts programs and productions.

Walt Bagot, the first chairman of Sister Cities Association of Fishers, Indiana’s (SCAFI) Renaissance Faire, has been elected by his peers on the Fishers Arts Council (FAC) as its new president. Bagot replaces Dean Hill, who, due to work advancement, resigned earlier this month.

The Fishers Arts Council is offering money, time and inspiration to artists who are interested in participating in the organization’s new street art project.

The Fishers Arts Council unveiled the first of what is hoped to be 40 cabooses to be scattered throughout Fishers as part of the council’s CaBOOST the Arts campaign.
Fishers Arts Council members are currently calling on area businesses inviting them to attend the "Celebration at the Station" from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, at the Fishers Train Station.

Arts Council reception closes out month long exhibition of school kids’ works at Town Hall.
The Fishers Arts Council is excited to announce Art Day-Sept.15, 2007 for the town of Fishers. Join us on this day at the beautiful Thomas E. Weaver Municipal Complex in Fishers for a celebration of arts throughout the day.
Siblings Unrivaled have performed for esteemed audience members such as First Lady Laura Bush, and now they will perform for you!
Art in the Park is a one day event in conjunction with the Fishers Farmers Market on September 15th. The hours are from 8am-3pm. This is a juried fine arts show, and all work must be that of the artist.
The Fishers Arts Council (FAC) will install ten "CaBOOST the Arts" cabooses at the Fishers Train Station. The ten cabooses, painted and decorated by local and regional artists, have been sponsored by local and regional businesses and will remain on display the entire summer.
Ten cabooses designed and painted by local artists are on display in front of the Fishers Tain Station. The cabooses will remain on display throughout the summer and then be auctioned off Sept. 15 during the Arts's Council's Art Day celebration.
The Fishers Arts Council's "CaBOOST the Arts" project has arrived at the Fishers Train Station (in the Thomas Weaver Municipal Complex) and is available for the public to view. CaBOOST features 10 fiberglass caboose statues that have been designed, decorated, and painted by local and regional artists.

When you think of Street Art, all sorts of images come to mind. Brightly painted sculptures or perhaps metal intertwined with futuristic designs. However when you ask about Fiberglass Street Art, one thinks of cows,horses, pigs and frogs. The town of Fishers, Indiana took this concept and bent it towards it’s history.
