This print is now hanging in our hallway, you must check out Ashley G and Drew's Etsy Shop! There are a bunch of great prints. I especially love the color palettes (and they are local to Portland!). ![]() We're beginning to decorate our bedroom, and what better to build from than this Asian Poppy Duvet Cover from Urban. ![]() Have you heard of BobBon Kakku? It's a website that allows you to design your own fabric, submit your designs, and vote for other patterns that suit your fancy. Based on the viewers votes, several fabrics are selected to be printed and sold in the shop. Check it out, it's a pretty cool website. . . ![]() ![]() I always forget how absolutely peaceful looking at the ocean is, until I'm actually in front of it. After a quick trip to the beach, I am coming back refreshed and ready to start new projects. My friend and I got to know some of the locals during our visit. . . this is Murth! She showed us around Seaside, and we couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. It has been a while since I have sewn anything for myself, so I decided to make a few must-have summer items: ![]() Thanks to both of you guys who participated in the give-away! The winner is BUSY BEE CREATIONS!!! Please email us your address as well as the address of your friend of choice to info@squid37.com. And since AMY was the only other person to comment, we would love to send you a small token of appreciation too (so please send us your address)! Thanks Again! As promised. . . a give-away! Not only will we send YOU a canister full of 20 fabric pins, but we will also send one to a FRIEND of yours! Just comment anywhere on our blog between now and June 28th. When we come back from vacation (off to Colorado for my mom's 60th birthday!) a name will be drawn. Until then, here are some more online shop links to keep you occupied.
We are finally in our new Condo! It's been a while, and we have sure missed the blog world! Things are still quite hectic around here, but we're settling in and LOVING it! Here is a taste of our new office. All of the items from Ikea of course (I keep asking myself what we would do without it). There are a few things that I am super excited about that are not in the office. . . I need to take pictures of for you to see. ![]() Woah, hold up! We've been SO busy lately that I completely forgot to show you my newest fabric obsession! Cake Rock Beach by Joelle Hoverson. It very well could be my all-time favorite collection. I love the colors and the natural simplicity of the designs. The entire group goes together perfectly, and I absolutely cannot wait to begin sewing with it! (omg, looking at the image above I just realized this fabric would make a beautiful quilt—time to buy more!) On a different note, we're moving this week! Woohoo! This will probably be the last post for a week or so, but without a doubt I'll be back when we're settled in, and decorating will be on my mind! I'll probably be so happy that you might expect a give-away :) ![]() Just looking at this precious, petite tray is making want a goodie! An impulse buy at Powell's Home and Garden. ![]() The SQUID37 Gallery is now up and running! You may notice a few familiar images in our first series from this post. Enjoy, have a great weekend! Check out this print from Kokka. It just came in at SMS!!
Springtime is simply the best! The sun comes out, colors are everywhere, and people are happy! Hope you enjoy these fresh finds from Etsy as much as I do! I came across the fabulous work of Irana Douer via Bloesem, and have come to the conclusion that her illustrations are perfect in every way. Her ceramics are lovely (you can buy them here), I think they would make great wedding gifts! I've slowly been gathering inspiration for my first quilt (which I was planning to start in February, but so it goes!) and found this one at Urban Outfitters. I love how the textile designs, colors, and quilt style are so simple and natural. This photo makes me want to crawl right in. Also loving these kitchen goods. A month or so ago maditi likes (one of my favorite blogs to visit) posted some of Nanako Koyama's images, and I have been hooked ever since. Her work is beautiful. . . you have to check it out! And, if you want to buy some prints go to her Etsy shop! This image is my favorite, but I waited too long to buy it and now it is gone, hopefully she puts another up soon!! New (much needed) wrapping paper! I got these from Powell's Home & Garden. My mom is in town for the weekend. We are going to do a bit of shopping, woohoo!! This is one of those fabrics that would be hard to live without (from the Echino fabric collection by Estuko Furuya for Kokka). Definitely in my top 10, although I have no idea what to do with it! Any ideas? It feels worthy of a nice big spot on the wall. |
