To install: Download the extension to your desktop. Then go to Tools -> Add-ons and drag plurk1.0.xpi to your add-ons window. It’ll install and you’ll have to restart Firefox.

Cody Robert's just release a terrific script for all plurk community. The first version have features like being able to send alerts to you about new notifications. Every five minutes, the notifier will update it’s log and show you any friend alerts you have need to tend to.
Your login is saved in the account manager and right now, you can have a maximum of four accounts saved.
Your profile will appear in the account mananger window as your profile picture. Click it so that it’s got a white drop shadow instead of black and that is your active account that will be looking for notifications.
Cody Robert intends to release a newer beta version soon so watch out for it.

Simon Cheng who is a reader on my blog dropped me a question on my email and asked me whether direct mailing still works in the internet marketing community, this is what i feel personally since selling by mail can be easy and relatively inexpensive as compared to advertising them on websites or blogs paying monthly fees that could be out of your budget.
However you sucess depends on the methods you use in presenting your offering to your prospects. In direct mail marketing, you are sending your "salesmen" out to sell for you. If you have 1000 offers of your products and you give each salesman one product to sell for you, what are the chances of the products being sold in terms of reach in an automated method. Let us look at the advantage and disadvantage of using direct mail as your marketing plan.

To put it into simple English, it means a service to update different search engines that your blog has been updated and allows your post to be generated into the search engines directory. The bigger your ping list the higher the chances of receiving traffic from those sources.

Here is something interesting for those who do not know, the largest social media network in China, Kaixin001.com, an exact clone of Facebook receives a big boost from NLVC Yesterday.
CNET reported, Kaixin001, receives a USD 4 to 5 million dollar investment from Northern Light Venture Capital. Why would NLVC invest in a social media networking site? According to the statement, "Northern Light is optimistic about the model of Kaixin001.com. On the other hand, the partners of Northern Light believe in the abilities of Cheng Binghao, the founder of Kaixin001.com."
Kaixin001 was made to attract the Chinese community to flock over to their giant social media network and offer what Facebook could not offer on their own site. Looking at the Alexa Traffic graph, you see a sharp rise over the past months and this bullish point could soon see a new reach in the next couple of months.
"Kaixin001.com is now a popular SNS website that provides games and functions such as fighting for parking spaces, votes and tests. People can earn awards through these games or by inviting their friends to register on the website. Relying on these unique features, the website has gained great popularity, especially among white collar Chinese, since May 2008. In August 2008, the daily IP traffic of Kaixin001.com reached 720,000 and its daily page views were over 30 million, so the company claims."
Apparently from this report, the way it attracts social members into the site seems similar to what Facebook offers, introducing new games around your circle of friends but Kaxin001 offers more than just games for referral to your friends.
Losing International Sign-ups
Kaixin001 does not allow international sign-ups as of yet and this is pretty strange, i thought its a social media network site but it seems like registering an account requires your Ip address to come from China. That is just amusing as the message below shows in Chinese characters that Currently Kaixin001 is still available for international sign-ups.
I guess Facebook will still stay on my number one social media networking site and once Kaixin001 opens its gate to the international members then I will have switched over so that I am able to use the 1GB space given unless Facebook does their interim measures to curb against what Kaixin001 have to offer.
