After reports broke out about Jim Jones questioning T.I.'s "swag," the self-proclaimed "King of the South" spoke with radio personality Clinton Sparks to address the swipe.

As previously reported, the Byrd Gang leader reportedly became upset over Tip's record, "Swagga Like Us," which features rap rival Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil' Wayne, prompting him to begin recording a "Swagger Jack From Us" song set to feature Juelz Santana and Weezy.

In a recent interview, Sparks initially informed Tip of the numerous artists who wanted to make the final cut for "Swagga" including Young Jeezy and Jim Jones...

Over 20 years into his career, Hip-Hop legend, actor, and director Ice Cube is showing no signs of slowing down artistically. On pace to have his second consecutive best-selling, independent Hip-Hop album of the year, Cube explained in an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com that Raw Footage’s stronger political/social content could not have come at a more opportune time. “I knew with Laugh Now, Cry Later it was more of a reintroduction. I wasn’t sure if all the antennas would be up to listen to what I really had to say,” Cube reflected. “I had to make a record to show I could more or less still rap on that tip. On this one I could give more of that street knowledge. The timing of the presidential election just fell into place...”

After being released from Atlantic Records resulting in the loss of his official first album, Brooklyn rapper Saigon announced today the development of his newly structured, long-awaited debut, Thank God.

Speaking with fans via his MySpace blog, Sai explained his absence from the hip-hop scene as of lately and why the upcoming album will really be his sophomore effort since The Greatest Story Never Told never hit stores.

“Whats up y’all…Its the Almighty Yardfather checking in…I’m sorry I haven’t been on the scene lately, I’m busy working on my second album titled ‘Thank God’ even though the first one has never come out. Hahahaha…,” he wrote. “Gotta stay working homie...”

Lil Scrappy is set to return with his long awaited group efffort Lil Scrappy & G'$ Up "Silence and Secrecy (Black Rag Gang)," January 27th on Good Hands Records/G$ Up Records.

Producer Johnny Jackson aka Johnny J. died from an apparent suicide in the Los Angeles County Jail yesterday (October 3). According to a number of reports, Jackson, who was incarcerated on a DUI charge, allegedly jumped from a tier in the prison, resulting in his death, although the official cause of death has not been determined. Johnny J., who was born in Mexico and raised in South Central Los Angeles, is best known for the body of work he recorded with the late Tupac Shakur...

His latest album, "Tha Carter III," has only been out since May, but Lil Wayne is already recording its follow-up. According to his blog on ESPN.com, the rapper is in the studio working on "Tha Carter IV" as well as a new mixtape.

The latter, "Dedication 3," will fall under DJ Drama's "Gangsta Grillz" series and "you can expect [it] real soon," Wayne says.

In a nod to his well-recognized prolific output, Wayne says immediately after "Dedication 3" comes out, he'll re-release it "with 20 extra songs for free on my Web site..."
Duckdown boss man Buckshot was released from the hospital on Thursday (10/3) after spending eight days in intensive care after suffering from a series of seizures.

The rapper was originally taken to the hospital following his return from an oversees tour. After returning to the States, Buckshot endured a number of seizures and was rushed to receive medical treatment.

Buckshot is not believed to have a history of health issues, however, according to a spokesman for his label, doctors say the rapper was “physically drained” and perhaps exhaustion triggered his seizures...
Gerald K. Barclay's documentary "Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan" will premiere Nov. 13 on BET, five days before its release on DVD. The film chronicles the pioneering hip-hop group's rise from Staten Island through interviews and a wealth of rare footage.

"Wu" will air multiple times between Nov. 13-16 and again in December as the holiday season approaches. During debut week, members of the Wu-Tang Clan are scheduled to appear on BET's "106 & Park" to discuss the project...
