Jewellery designer Dara Dubinet has designed a $27,000 [GBP18,000] black Chinese agate rock ring for Britney Spears to wear to the Grammy Awards in February [09].

Dubinet started work on the huge gem after she spotted Spears wearing a Tourmaline ring she had created and sent to the pop star when she appeared on U.S. morning show Good Morning America on her 27th birthday in December [08].

The designer tells Life and Style magazine she was told Spears “loved” her birthday gift.

And a source tells the publication, “She’s worn it several times, She says it has a positive energy, and it just makes her smile.”

It's only a few degrees warmer here in Hollywood, but apparently that's good enough for Britney Spears! The pop princess showed off her toned bod in a skimpy top at the dance studio earlier today, and girlfriend's lookin' good!

A photog on the scene said Britney looked "visibly annoyed" as she left Center Staging dance studio in Burbank last night. Hmm, could it be the swarms of paps following her, or is there something else bugging the pop princess?

We've heard reports that her dance rehearsals aren't going as well as expected, and now OK! Magazine reports that Brit is making some big sacrifices in order to climb back on top of the music industry.

When Brit's people began organizing her tour last fall, they learned that because of the singer's er, history, they could not purchase insurance to cover the Circus tour unless she was still under the conservatorship of her father. OK! reports that the conservatorship was supposed to be lifted on December 31, 2008, and Brit would head back to family court with a petition to regain custody of her sons, but a source tells the mag, "The insurance situation changed everything. Whether it was her decision or whether she was pressured into it, Britney's deal with the devil put the tour ahead of the kids."

Well, this would explain why Brit agreed to have Jamie Spears sign on as her permanent conservator two months ago! And if it means time away from her boys and her not having control over her life, we can see why she'd look so, well, angry!

Britney Spears has been skipping rehearsals for her upcoming Circus world tour, it has been claimed.

The Toxic singer reportedly feels she is "not as good as she used to be" - so is refusing to practice her dance routines.

A source says, "She missed some early dance practices and wasn't dedicated about turning up to meetings."

Spears, 27, is said to be against dancing in front of her old choreographer Wade Robson.

The source added, "She didn't want him to see that she is not as good as she used to be."

Spears - who is currently under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie - announced on US TV show Good Morning America last year that her concert tour would begin in New Orleans on March 3, 2009.

Until that point, the plan was for the conservatorship to be lifted on Dec. 31, followed by Britney, 27, heading to family court with a petition to regain custody of Preston and Jayden.
