Not a huge announcement by any means, but I've been working on this site for years and have hundreds and hundreds of pieces of artwork on here for all to see. I've put a lot of work into this and have tons of original content - and yet, I have very few daily visitors. Not to be a stat-whore, but I like getting hits. Lol. It's nice to be noticed, ya know? Anyway, I did some research and found that the #1 thing for a site to have plenty of hits depends on how many sites link to it and are linked by it. That being said - PlutoLighthouse.net is now accepting affiliates! Of course, not everyone will be accepted, but as long as your site meets quality standards and has something to do with either art, games, MegaMan, or something else the Pluto Lighthouse represents, I'm sure we can work something out. :) So, to end, take a look to the left and you'll see a place for important every-page text-link affiliates, and then in the "Links" page, there's another affiliate section showing off image banners as well as banners you can use to link to me if you wish! I was going over some website-optimization links yesterday and made note of a lot of rules my site wasn't following. I also made note of any bugs I found and now that I finally have WAMP set up on my home-computer again, I was able to fix some minor bugs. Fixes are as follows: - Pages no longer link to themselves - The current section you are on is now visually indication in the navigation menu/bar - All links are now visible so one may easily scan a page for links - All links now have different 'states', the obvious visited and unvisited are now clearly distinguishable - Daily Doodle Blog has been removed from the front page to the Stuff section as it is clearly no-longer daily - None of the pages in the Stuff category has any page titles (the little title that appears on the top of your browser window) so I added them - Page titles were also missing from updates in the news archive - this has been fixed - Various other tiny tweaks Alright, so that's it. Not much, but more is to come...hopefully. ;) -Age

Hello to all, and I'm sorry for the lack of any kind of updates to the site. Again, I'm sorry about the end of Daily Doodles. It was fun while it lasted, and I'm not a quitter, but it was far more work than I thought it would be and I couldn't keep up with it due to my busy schedule as-is. I know I shouldn't make excuses, but that's how it is. Drawing every single day can be tiring - especially when your mind's creative pool is bone-dry. And so I wanted to openly apologize for the lack of interesting things going on at the Pluto Lighthouse. There hasn't been any form of updates for a while and it seems like I have lost interest...but I haven't. I just want to make it known that I'm thinking about it every day and I really want this site to be great. Unfortunately, not enough people visit the site to actually get any kind of input - sadly - but I will find something interesting for the site...it's just going to take time. So, overall, I know it seems like a pointless post but I just wanted to make sure any of my fans/readers know that I haven't given up and I will be back with something great - I just don't know what yet. Any ideas are obviously welcome and appreciated - leave them in the comments! Short post, and I'm sure no one is going to read it or care anyway, but... for now at least, the Daily Doodles will cease to exist. Well, they'll still be there, but I don't plan to update as often. As you can see - there were no updates last week or this week so far and that's because life has handed me a lot of shit to work out right now and I really don't have time. Not to go into a sob story I'll save you the details - but needless to say the Daily Doodles are not going to be so Daily anymore. Sorry! -Age

It seems last night upon uploading the latest DoodleOfTheDay, I somehow wound up deleted a LOT of artwork off the site...somehow. I really don't know how...but it happened. So yeah, you'll notice most of the artwork section is broken links but I'll fix that when I get home. Really sorry about that! Oh, and PS. Super Smash Bros Brawl leaks are driving me CRAZY! Alright, so here it is! On the right of the main home page you'll see a thumbnail with the word "Daily Doodle Blog" under it. This is what I was talking about - I've already uploaded all the artwork for the previous days that have passed since the new year, and now, without fail, I'll be uploading a new piece of artwork every weekday for as long as I possibly can (which will hopefully be forever!). So now, there should never be a day that goes by without something new around here, lol. Oh, and the best part? Anything drawing on or after January 9th can be viewed as an animation. :) You can play it and watch as it's drawn! That's totally awesome...and it's all thanks to the DS program "Colors!". Enjoy!

I've recently got hold a two new programs for my DS. The first one was a drawing Program called "Phidias" - it's homebrew and it's actually pretty good. After spending a few days with it I heard about another program called "Colors!". I downloaded it last night and realized how amazing it was. I mean - I can draw anywhere know with nothing but my DS and they turn out great. So I was thinking - this site needs a constant flow of SOME KIND of content. And I don't draw enough real-life pictures because I never have access to drawing tools when I actually do have free time to utilize them. But with this new Colors! program, that is no longer a problem. I've been breaking out at LEAST 5 or 6 full-on doodles a day so far and I don't mean stick figures. So I thought that maybe I could incorporate some kind of Daily Doodle or daily art blog where I post them as well as maybe my current thoughts...or an article or something. Either way, I want the site to have some kind of constantly updating content and this feels right to me. I'm working on the idea right now, but what do you guys think?

While you may not see anything now, there will be updates soon. Most likely tonight. I worked most of yesterday trying to change the way the comments box is displayed to make sure even computers/devices without javascript can still use 'em with ease. I also played around with news posts and the front, home page in general to optimize space and resources that display. While it's not gonna mke a huge difference at first, overall it should make browsing and commenting throughout the site a little easier. :) Expect an update by tomorrow night at the latest. In other news, I started my new job as QA Game Tester today and it seems to be going pretty awesome so far. Pretty damn cool. Go me! -Age UPDATE : Yes! I've updated the changes just now and they look great. Now, I finally added an appropriate search form on the home page, improved on some coding details, made it easier to see and access news and pages from the homepage, and added a little disclaimer at the bottom! It's been an awesome upgrade to version 10.2 and I hope you all enjoy!

Alright, kinda old new but not really. This MMPUTCG thing was actually started over a year ago and worked on until about...I dunno...this last summer sometime. I took it down after the site (and the Master Level List) was redone and I totally forgot to put it back up! So now, I've re-added the MegaMan Powered Up Trading Card Game back to the 'stuff' section of the site. All the old cards that everyone would have already seen are still there along with a new design for the cards they has never been seen before and a few cards that have also never been seen by anyone but me! :D So while there is certainly familiar content, there's tons of new stuff as well. Sorry about the lack of Updates in the last week - I've super busy with moving new furniture and the like as well as a handfull of interviews for potential new jobs. It hasnt all been in vain though, as I've actually started work on Chaos again. So it turns out I did it! Today, while I had a spare few hours I finally finished uploading all of the MegaMan Battle Network artwork that was previously here! Now, seeing as I have something else planned for Chaos, this would make the site finally complete again! Also note that while most of the Battle Network / EXE artwork will have similar comments about it, I re-wrote them all so there's bound to be a lot of new content within. So... please have a look at the galleries now that they are complete and I hope you enjoy your stay! PS. I plan to make sure everything is backed up this time to prevent this from ever happening again. :D

I spent the last four hours resizing, watermarking, naming, and organizing all the artwork I previously had on the site for MegaMan EXE / MegaMan Battle Network and I'm so happy that I finally did it. It's late now and I'm tired so it's not uploaded, but I plan to finally upload all of the artwork for good tomorrow (and of course do a good backup, lol) so I'll update this news post as soon as I do! Just as a side note, apart from the Chaos Artwork section (which I have other plans for) this will be the last gallery that needs to be uploaded for the site to be complete again, so I'm super happy about it and I'd like to also give myself a pat on the back for keeping a consistent update schedule...maybe the site will stay intact for more than a few months for once. :) -Age UPDATE : I'm super tired right now. Seeing as the sections were so small I couldn't remember why I was avoiding uploading them. After opening the folder again I remembered - the MegaMan Legends artwork was split up into so many files that it took me nearly three hours to stick 'em all together. Avoiding the massive amount of links that the MegaMan Legends section was before, this time I decided to string similar pictures (images of the same 3D Model at different angels) into one, film-strip-like file. This way, it takes up less room and you wont have to click on 30 links just for one picture. The MegaMan Zero section only had two pictures to put up so there's not much there, but if you wanna take a look be my guest. Well, that whole server crash sucked a lot seeing as I already uploaded all the MegaMan Artwork, but I'm getting closer to completion again - only EXE left to go so this is a good thing. :) MegaMan Legends MegaMan Zero -Age

Okay, so this is a minor update as I just tweaked certain things about the site that probably wont matter to many. First and foremost, I added a 'sorting' system to the galleries. Now you can view items the normal way (by date posted) or you can opt to view them based on their popularity (number of views). Another very small thing is that now, when you hover over an image in any of the albums, it'll display the title of the artwork as well as it's number of views. Again, this is a small update. Lastly, I edited the feeds/news posts so that when I post new artwork, the feed actually shows it and nothing is cut off. Also, I noticed that the whole "New Misc Artwork" etc. titles seemed to all blend together to you had no idea which ones were read and which ones weren't, so I changed it so that the artwork-post titles actually had the title of the piece in the name (a no-brainer, you'd think). But yeah, that's it for now. Other minor changes my take place but nothing too major unless someone actually suggests it (please leave comments!), lol. -Age

This one has the most detail (because it was the largest) so it is probably the best of the 4. The pose isn't overly interesting but it is pretty cute. The maid-bunny is still my favorite of the 4 but this one did turn out very well regardless. What do you think? :D -Age"

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Adorable Zigzagoon Type : Pokemon "This would be a picture I did specifically for my boyfriend Deejay. I know he doesn't like Pokemon very much but the one he does like is Zigzagoon so I drew him a cute little one. Personally, I think this turned out great! It deviates from the official art style a bit by adding more lineweight as well as a certain shading style - but I totally thinks that makes it better. This one turned out great not only for the linework and the colouring/shading, but mostly because he turned out to be SO cute!"

This bunny, although not my favorite, is still super cute in my opinion. I think this one turned out rather well and although I don't have much to comment on (it's a pretty simple picture) - I will say that I think it turned out awesome. Yay! What do you think?"

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Sylar Sketch Type : Misc "This would be my first attempt at the evil character 'Sylar' from the popular TV show Heroes. While this certainly needs a lot of work as far as likeness goes (it doesn't really look much like the actor), I think I did an okay job on the actual sketch and felt like colouring it. Looking at this I can start to see now what I missed as far as key features to be able to identify this drawing with that of Zachary Quinto (Sylar's actor) and I'm sure the next one will look more like him. Even so, I do love this as well as the look in his eyes so I'm pleased with the way it turned out overall. :D Comment!"

By far my favorite bunny as far as outfit goes and I think I really captured the Rayman-essence in this one. It's really cute, IMO, so out of the four while this might not be the best...it is my fav. What would I do differently next time? Nothing. :D"

And when I got "Rayman Raving Rabbids" not long after I was even more ecstatic. Not so much for the game (although it was super fun for about a week), but more because I thought the rabbits were the cutest things ever. This was first attempt at drawing one of the rabbits/rabbids and while fans of the game will probably be able to tell what it is, others may not recognize it immediately. Do know, however, that this was only the first of a series and they got continuously better as time went on. This may not be my best work, but it certainly was a stepping stone. :D"

Not a huge update, but after the initial crash of this site it was hard to put up all the artwork again - I had to re-type everything. A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Maverick Hunter Logo Type : MegaManX "This is actually a replication. In the MegaMan : Maverick Hunter X game we finally get to see (in a cutscene) what the Maverick Hunters' logo/symbol is. The problem is that the logo is small and is a screencap, thus being poor quality. I remade the logo in flash to give it a nice crisp look in case anyone needed it. :)"

Title : Enigma Gun Type : MegaManX "This is another one of the perspective drawings that I did for school and it was in the same batch as "Skull Castle" and "Orbital Elevator". I'm embarrassed to say that this one seems to scream 'phallic' too. I insist, however, that at the time of drawing these that was totally not on my mind and I didn't even think about it until now a few years later. Wow, I wonder what my teacher thought when he looked at this collection. >_< Either way, while the perspective may be off a little, I do think the overall piece turned out okay for being one of my first perspective drawings. Not my best, but good. :D"

This would be the 'Orbital Elevator' made by Lumine as part of the 'Jacob Project' in MegaMan X8. Now, mind you, this one isn't very good as it looks far too phallic and I got really lazy with the shading. But I thought I'd post it anyway - this is after-all a collection of all my art, is it not?"

We were asked in class to do a few perspective drawings of buildings/structures. The first of which I did was Skull Castle from MegaMan Classic. Now, mind you, I have no idea which game this was from. I did it from memory so it's probably not any of the official ones and the perspective is probably wrong, but it is kind cool. Lol. There's another one coming to from the X series."

Title : Roserade Reflection Type : Pokemon "I actually drew the original pencil sketch for this (it was actually more of a doodle) a while ago while I worked at Virgin Mobile. I always intended to CG it but it got lost in my papers and notebooks when I quit. I found it though, about a month ago and decided that I should get at it. So, this would officially be my first ever fully CGed piece of artwork in Photoshop and while there are minor things that could have been done a little better, overall I think the piece turned out fantastic. The reflection and everything turned out very nice and I'm pretty proud of it. Why Roserade? I dunno, I was looking for a cool Pokemon to draw and for some random reason I chose her. Lol. Oh, and there used to be an Azurill in the water looking back at her but I didn't like it so I changed it to her reflection. :D What do ya think?"

I wanted to draw Deejay again as a Pokemon trainer (strange that I still haven't drawn myself as I write this) and this was kind of a practice for future pictures I plan/planned to do. He's cute, and while it was a simple piece I made it into a coloured version is Paintshop just to make it look more finished. I think it's cute. ^_^"

Title : Drifters on a Napkin Type : Pokemon "It should be obvious by now, but while I worked at Virgin Mobile I was often very bored and even resorted to drawing on napkins. Still into the Pokemon phase I tried drawing the characters Drifblim and Drifloon on a McDonalds napkin and due to them being from memory, they didn't turn out very amazing-like. I did like the texture though, it was fun. :)"

I was just getting back into Pokemon again and I felt I needed to refresh my skills so I spit this one out in a few minutes. I had no reference so I was doing this from memory, and while it isn't great, I don't think it's that bad for a simple sketch. :D"

Type : MegaManClassic "Continuing with the Powered Up conversions, I decided to do FlashMan Powered Up! and now I'm almost done with all the robots from MegaMan 2! FlashMan, I think, has one of the best poses of the series and certainly kicks some major butt as far as linework and colouring goes. I love him. *glomp* Looking back on it a day later, I can see that I went a little overboard with the thick-lines. I'll try and correct that in my new Powered Up!"

Type : MegaManClassic While the card game may not be in production anymore, I still love drawing Powered Up characters, and thus, I decided to CG this one. CrashMan I actually found in my sketchbook from last year, it seems I did a few really awesome Powered Up robots but never CGed them. So here he is - my favorite of the doodles! Don't you love how crazy he looks? And, and we can't forget how adorable. The lines are tight and the colouring is crisp. What more could we ask?

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : MegaMan Generations Type : MegaMan "Last year when I was working for the MegaMan Network I was asked to make the banners for the site. They were pretty specific about the fact that they wanted the MegaMan Helmets from each generation on them and so I had to manually draw all the helmets from the various series that existed at the time. These are them - Classic MegaMan, MegaMan X, MegaMan Legends, MegaMan EXE, MegaMan ZX... You'll certainly wanna view the full image as the small one doesn't do it justice. Overall, I think even now they look pretty damn good. What do you think?"

Title : Random Pokemon Doodles Type : Pokemon "Not a huge deal, but I did manage to cut-out and piece together all the random Pokemon doodles I did my my work book from when I worked at Virgin Mobile (so glad I'm out, btw). While some of them are horrible, some of them are also cute and I just found a kind of joy looking through them now. Oh, and the Pirannah Plant? Yeah, he didn't fit in anywhere else and he was from the same book so I decided to include him. Whatcha gonna do? Lol."

I redid the layout a bit. :D As you can see, I kinda redid the layout a bit...which is totally a good thing. It's simpler this time while stylesheets DO help, it should still work (not that any of you should be running browsers that old, lol) if they are somehow disabled. So yeah, layout is fresh, and the artwork-viewing experience is much improved from before. Either way, everything looks sharp now and I hope you enjoy! -Age UPDATE: I finally finished re-uploading all the artwork in the new format so that you have the thumbnail, the medium image preview, and then full image for every single piece on here now. You know what that means? I can finally start adding all the artwork that was lost again without ignoring the rest of the site. And I'm promising to try and add at least ONE piece of new artwork (that has not been seen yet) to the site every day. How about that?

So I fixed all the bugs related to the server change and hopefully things will be getting better now. The Master Level List should be running fine without me, (unless someone has a problem then by all means email me) and the Lighthouse will be fine for now. I'm gonna go into hiding for a while. There are a few tweaks to the Lighthouse that I need to do that should make it more stable and easier for me to make sure things don't go down (although I'm hoping it doesn't ever happen again) and things to make it less strain for you to view (the artwork viewing sucks balls). -Age

In an announcement that I'm sure plenty were expecting, the Pokemon Lighthouse is being closed down as of today. The site barely had any members, and because I have access to the database I could tell that the few who were members, didn't even use it. So it's not really all that much of a loss to anyone. I mean, I hated it after its initial completion - it's kind of a dumb idea and it was really only used as a learning exercise for myself. So, here it is. The end of the Pokemon Lighthouse. So apparently I used to be on a Windows Server and now I'm on a Unix Sever. Why didn't I know this? I didn't think I needed to care. Either way - it seems that on Windows Servers the links in your HTML/PHP are not case-sensitive whereas on Unix/Linux Servers they are. So now, myPage.htm is NOT the same as MyPage.htm and this is leading to a LOT of broken links and images. Of course, this is my fault and I should have looked further into this. But I didn't. :( So now, for anyone who actually visits this site or the Master Level List, please be patient and give me at LEAST a week to get everything back up and running. Sorry, -Age

Okay, so apparently the last update was lost in the move, but to make things more apparent and final I'll post it here again. I changed hosts. Finally. Brinkster gave me too much crap. They were extremely unprofessional, never kept their word, and their servers were always going down. Always. I'm not gonna go on about just how much they sucked...but they did. Totally. Either way, I switched servers over to Lunarpages.com and while it's taking a while to re-upload everything, they seem to have all the tools necessary to make thing easy and professional. Expect the site (and all sub-sites) to be a little wonky for a while. But things will be back up soon and then the real fun can begin. :D -Age

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Link at the Moon Type : Fantasy "A little while ago, I wanted to do a simple painting to get back into the whole art-thing. I decided to make a picture of Link from the Legend of Zelda for Deejay in Wind Waker style. Well, an attempt at Wind Waker style anyway. Overall, I think it turned out pretty cute. Not great, but cute anyway. :D And the colours are nice. Moon isn't too realistic, but whatever. Haha!"

My database crashed again, and it was the ONE night I didn't make my own backup. The ONE night. And of course, Brinkster, my host, not only can't help me (apparently they don't do backups at all) but I got another I'll talk to an administrator bullshit. So basically, all 200+ pieces of artwork that I re-uploaded and spent days typing up full and new descriptions for are gone. All of them. I need to change hosts. ASAP. -Age

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Luna Platz : Headshot Type : MegaMan "Apparently my server crashed again (no thanks to Brinkster) and I had to re-upload EVERYTHING. Awkward. Anyway, in the process I didn't backup frquently enough and I lost the description for this newly added artwork. What do I remember? While I don't really like the MegaMan Star Force series that much, I needed something to draw and Luna Platz seemed pretty easy so I set to work. I doodled her in pencil and then scanned her in and coloured her in flash. The drawing needs some work but I think the colours and the lineart and pretty spiffy. :D -Age"

Title : Resident Chibi Type : People "So after Deejay feel head-over-heals for the other picture I did for him (Ageman & Deejay : Double Team) he decided that he really, really liked the little character of him as Leon. Like - a lot. So, in order to show him what a 'chibi' was (he apparently had no idea) and to wow him again, I decided to doodle a little chibi-deejay. It ended up looking so darn adorable that I had the urge to CG it. And we have this gem. The picture itself is awesome - it's super cute and I can't really find anything wrong with it. The linework is superb. Crisp, dynamic, and beautiful. And then we have the colour/shading job which I think was my best shading job I've done thus far (while still being as modest as possible, lol). Who would have thought that drawing for other people could bring out such awesome work? I love it a lot and so does he - what do you think?"

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Proto Blast! Type : MegaMan "Okay, first because recently finding out that ProtoMan was a secret, playable character in MegaMan:Powered Up, I had an urge to draw him (I didn't really care to draw him in MMPU chibi style, but I wanted to draw him none-the-less). Second, I bought new inking markers that day and wanted to try them out! I wanted to practice shading with my Prisma Color markers. So, I drew this up quickly and started on inking and shading it. I almost bought one of those sheets with all the circles on it for making perfect circles but it was too friggin expensive so I did not end up buying it and directly leading to the reason why the Buster has SUCH a thick line around it (I kept on screwing up the circle and having to make it bigger). Otherwise, however, I really like it! This entry in my portfolio is the Paintshop-Pro CGed version of the art. I wanted to try something where I used shading and tones already set by markers and then just used Paintshop to add colour (as opposed to doing the shading in Paintshop). I'd have to say it turned out extremely well and I very well may employ this method of CGing again."

Wow, that took all day. I finally finished updating the entire People Album. I've uploaded all of the previous artwork in the "Real People" section of the old site with only a few being re-categorized. There are only two more sections to go now - MegaMan and Chaos. Tomorrow is a new day and I'll try to at least one of them started. Oh, and one more thing. After going over every piece of people artwork in one day I can honestly say I've drawn a LOT of people. >_<

Hello fellow readers. I spent the earlier part of the morning uploading some more artwork. We now have the Fantasy Artwork album which consists of the previous Zelda and Final Fantasy sections. Enjoy and please leave comments. It really helps me improve. :D Also, I plan to finish updating the rest of the artwork tonight so you may be in for another News Post later.

For those of you who have been anxiously waiting for me to upload more of the artwork I removed a few hours ago, your prayers have been answered! (Yeah, I know no one is awake yet and I'm talking to myself but who knows, right?) I have completely re-uploaded all the Pokemon Artwork (as well as two new pieces) and also re-uploaded all the SailorMoon Artwork again as well as the MegaMan EXE Comics (not that anybody is in desperate need of them, lol). So yeah, that's it for this update, just a heads up that things are going fast so far, but that might be because I chose to do the smallest sections first - we'll see. More to come!

A new piece of artwork has been added to the gallery! Title : Charmeleon Firestorm Type : Pokemon "I've recently got back into Pokemon a lot more than I should have. Like, a lot. And my good friend Aaron whom I know from work has also picked it up as well (I made him buy Pokemon Diamond). Anyway, he likes it a lot too. One of his favorite things, actually, is the Pokemon Charizard. At the time, however, he only had a Charmeleon in his game (the pre-evolved form of an adult Charizard) and thus he liked Charmeleon pretty much too and asked that I draw a picture of Charmeleon for him. I did, and while it took me months to do, I did finish it. I can honestly say I've never used so much pencil crayon on one piece of artwork but I guess I don't mind because it turned out beautifully. Look at that fire! I framed it and gave it to him and of course he loved it. :D What do you think? "

Yes, I've done it again. Another face-lift for the Pluto Lighthouse. We're now on Version 10 and the face-lift is actually more of a whole new site, to be honest. Everything has changed. Gone are the old artwork categories. Nobody cares which Megaman game the artwork is for - the fact that it's Megaman is enough. And having a complete section for five pieces of artwork also isn't worth it, so gone is the old Harry Potter, Zelda, and Final Fantasy sections - they have now been collapsed into the "Fantasy Artwork" section. Another change is the way you find/view art! Now not only is it cleaner and more clear which artwork is new and recent, but now it loads quicker - no loading 30+ artwork descriptions just to view one. Also, there is this handy artwork search function which is actually really useful. Try it, I dare ya! Also, the comments system has been revamped again. Gone are the old ways of text files and now the site runs exclusively on MySQL (which basically means it goes lots faster). There's so much to say and so little post-room. Remember to sign up for the RSS Feed and keep your eyes peeled as I plan to update the site one hell of a lot more frequently now as this new system is so much easier. One last note - the only artwork section that has been re-uploaded so far is the Misc. section but this will change soon. I'll probably start uploading the next sections tomorrow morning if not tonight when I'm done making coffee. Oh, and please enjoy! I've worked my ass off and I really hope this whole thing goes well.
