The extended 'sql' routing policy now supports setting multiple failover routes. It can be compiled to run as a Windows service, and also supports ./configure on Windows. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 22:52:13 +0100 License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This is quite a comprehensive release, with many bugfixes and some useful new features. It is recommended as an upgrade for existing applications. A new interactive application called "Playground" was introduced. It allows for experimenting with qooxdoo application code. Basically, the code in a (syntax highlighting) JavaScript editor on the left can be executed as an application on the right. This works purely in the browser (and also offline) without the usual locally installed tools or any server-side components. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 22:51:03 +0100 ERDtext is a simple text file viewer that is part
of ERDialog. ERDialog is an application framework

A bug was fixed in the Analyser where bad property-getting caused a crash. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 22:47:54 +0100 Nagzilla was designed to be a Jabber relay "bot",
in that it sits quietly in a room until it gets a
message to relay to either a chat room or a
person. The early work was based on several simple
examples out on the Internet, but would just keep
logging into a room every time the bot had
something to say. It was made a daemon, which
allows it to get Nagzilla alerts from various
systems and event creators. Nagzillac (the client
program) accepts any string input and makes it
into a Jabber message. This should work with
Google Talk (as it's Jabber-based), but that is
untested.
License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release adds user change, a liblog-loglite-perl module to help with logging, and very simple logging. Some code has been replaced (array handling, etc.). Fri, 09 Jan 2009 22:46:02 +0100 Foswiki is wiki software, supporting the editing
of Web pages in an ordinary Web browser by end
users. What makes Foswiki special is that it

object-oriented alternative to the core File::Find
module for traversing a directory structure, which
has some serious interface limitations. It can be
instantiated, can be interrupted in the middle,
has an iterative interface, and can also return
result objects.
Fri, 09 Jan 2009 19:00:01 +0100 License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: The biggest changes are in the SMS daemon, which has a lot of improvements and is now in a separate binary, gammu-smsd. It can log better, can work as a proper daemon or Windows Service, can be debugged more easily, and can reload the configuration on the fly. The Gammu command line interface now supports text for text messages to be entered through a parameter and not just using standard input, and it has a new chekfirmware command. The SMS daemon, all related things, and gammu configuration files now have man pages, which boosts the documentation level from none to almost perfect. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 18:58:35 +0100 License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Map scripts have been implemented, which are going to replace most of the boulder logic in the maps. Lightning has been rebalanced again, and the monster's ability to follow the trail of a player is now dependent on their wisdom. Alchemy-like skills can't be used with any cauldron anymore. A cheat in nimbus, which allowed infinite retries in minesweeper, has been fixed. Recreating monsters will no longer propagate when there is no player the map. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 18:57:53 +0100 The DBIx::Perlish module provides the ability to work with databases supported by the DBI module using Perl's own syntax for the four most common operations: SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, and INSERT. By using DBIx::Perlish, you can write most of your database queries using a domain-specific language with Perl syntax. However, the module is not intended to replace all use of SQL in your program. The DBIx::Perlish module quite intentionally neither implements nor cares about database administration tasks like schema design and management.
License: BSD License (revised) Changes: This release fixes another problem with multiple joins. It supports REs as a term. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 18:57:27 +0100 libstldb4 is a C++ wrapper for the sleepycat db4
database. It uses the STL in the API where
sensible, allows standard IOStreams for data
access where sensible, e.g. getting the value of a
key should be able to use an istream interface to
allow simple partial value retreival, and moves
the transaction parameter to be the last optional
parameter or provides two versions of the same
method for trans/nontrans. The API has been
modified to use more standard types. Operator
overloading is used to allow quick and dirty
coding (mydb[ "key" ] = "value";) to set and cerr.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release updates moveCursorNextDup() to return end() when no more duplicates exist, and adds new Database::makeSecondaryIndex() that takes fh_env as well. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 18:56:57 +0100 License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release has SEO compatibility and additional bugfixes. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 16:00:48 +0100 SvOlli's Little Audio Related Thingies, or SLART
for short, is a compilation of rather simple
programs that are related to audio files: it
consists of a player (Partyman), a CD ripper, a
tag editor, a downloader for music files that also
works with MySpace, and some other tools. These
programs can communicate with each other via UDP,
so a newly ripped track can be automatically
queued in the player, for example.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release adds panel and tray icons to show information about the track currently playing, a setup wizard, more organized settings, and faster startup time. A couple of bugs have been fixed. Precompiled versions for Ubuntu 8.10 and Asus Eee PCs (Linux) are also available now. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 15:59:53 +0100 pyxmdb is a database utility for exporting and

Fri, 09 Jan 2009 14:42:01 +0100 License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release adds the ability to create a branch of branches. To create one, browse the "List Branches" page and chooses the Duplicate link. After that, the new duplicated branch can develop its own history, as scripts might belong to the old, to the new, or to both branches. In this version, if someone modifies a script, the modification date and username are recorded and displayed in the "List scripts" page. Fri, 09 Jan 2009 14:38:33 +0100 License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release updates the Spanish and German translations, makes the .deb packages more Debian-friendly, separates the common and GNOME-specific files, and divides the backintime package into backintime-common and backintime-gnome. When you open the snapshots dialog more than once and make a diff, it will now make the diff on the file for the first dialog (or all previous dialogs), and then for the current one.
