What Hughes does is use Java as a good language in which to imbue the precepts of computing. If you have never programmed before, you should probably start with an object oriented language. Skip Fortran, Pascal and C. Well, given Java’s popularity, it’s a natural choice. Some of the early chapters deal with material that is not restricted to OO languages. Like the if-else construct. Or for loops. You should not have any problems with these. Later in the text, it actually goes into how you can think in OO terms, and how to map these into actual source code in the text, it is not closely connected to the latest in Java. Beside, as Java gets upgraded, it tends to be a superset of older versions. . http://www.filefactory.com/file/1add0f http://rapidshare.com/files/130051205/0763717614.rar Wed, 23 Jul 2008 04:29:00 +0200

These form the crux of building Linux firewalls and QOS. The later part of the book covers 5 real-world networks for which we design the security policies, build the firewall, setup the script, and verify our installation. These comprehensive set of set up scripts and set up guidelines to create firewall protection for various specific usage scenarios are unique and set this book apart. http://rapidshare.com/files/130812640/978-1-904811-65-7.rar http://rnbload.com/file/23382/978-1-904811-65-7-rar.html Wed, 23 Jul 2008 04:41:00 +0200 ![]() By Bill Dyszel Most users take advantage of only two percent of Outlook's power, this book shows them how to harness frequently overlooked tricks and techniques that can significantly boost productivity Shows how to manage time and information in the new interface, covering instant searches, the To-Do bar, color categories, and task integration with OneNote, Project, Access, and Windows SharePoint Services Explains how to connect across boundaries with access to WSS data, two-way sync and offline access, calendar sharing, smart scheduling, RSS support, electronic business cards, and the improved out-of-office assistant Demonstrates how to stay safe and in control with the improved spam filter, anti-phishing capabilities, e-mail postmark features, e-mail folder organization, and information rights management http://rapidshare.com/files/131035471/978-0-470-03830-7.rar http://rnbload.com/file/23441/978-0-470-03830-7-rar.html Wed, 23 Jul 2008 04:42:00 +0200 ![]() By Tom Adelstein , Sam Hiser The Java Desktop System (TM), from Sun Microsystems, is a modern system for all kinds of users, novice through expert. As an unusually robust, well-integrated desktop system, it may become the first to fulfill the promise of mass adoption for open source. JDS brings Linux and other open source software up to a level of usability that makes them suitable for the enormous base of Personal Computer users including office workers, students, mobile and home users. It behaves pretty much the way a Windows or Mac user would expect, but with many more powerful features. JDS has seen widespread adoption in the United States, Britain, China, and elsewhere. This book is the ideal guide to JDS: it is clear and direct, but loaded with insights from authors who have spent time working with, supporting, and enhancing the system. Tom Adelstein is an award winning polymath system designer, Sam Hiser is a respected business consultant with an itch that led him to become the marketing project lead for OpenOffice.org. Both are advocates for open source and founders of the Open Government Interoperability Project, members of the Open Source Software Institute and contributors to the JDShelp.org project. http://rapidshare.com/files/130826101/978-0-596-00752-2.rar http://rnbload.com/file/23387/978-0-596-00752-2-rar.html Wed, 23 Jul 2008 04:42:00 +0200 ![]() By Michael Flenov oncentrating on Linux installation, tuning, and administration, this guide to protecting systems from security attacks demonstrates how to install Linux so that it is tuned for the highest security and best performance, how to scan the network and encrypt the traffic for securing all private traffics in a public network, and how to monitor and log the system to detect potential security problems.
