What do Katrina victims waiting for federal disaster relief, millionaire rappers buying vintage champagne, Ivy League professors waiting for taxis, and ghetto hustlers trying to find steady work have in common?

Well, finally, almost all of the Democrats working hard in Springfield have told Governor King Rod Blagojevich to take his name off of state-owned property. The sole dissenter in the House was Kenneth Dunkin, who said there is value in having an officeholder's name emblazoned on signs promoting state programs. What was your first clue Sherlock Dunkin - the fact that it costs businesses thousands of dollars every month to use an outdoor advertising structure? And King Rod has commandeered over 30 of them?

The depths to which Governor King Rod Blagojevich will go in order to hide from public scrutiny are purely astounding - being aided and abetted by his attorney William Quinlan and Abby Ottenhoff.

So much for his "open and transparent" government.

Ottenhoff, when queried by the Decatur Herald & Review on the nature of the search for documents related to Tony Rezko said:

""We don't comment on internal legal communications."

Awhile back, I wrote to Senator Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain, and posted a copy of that letter here. And Senator Obama replied. Here is what he had to say.

"Thank you for writing to me with your concern over our nation’s energy independence. I appreciate hearing from you.

Are the members of the Democratic Party who live in downstate Illinois brain damaged, or just sheeple willing to be led to the slaughter? Your leadership has been totally and completely overrun and corrupted by the Chicago Machine. And yet, you helped elect, then reelect, King Rod Blagojevich, who is on the path to becoming known as the most corrupt governor in the history of the state.

Oh, that Governor, King Rod Blagojevich, he is one FUNNY man. Why in the world would you move 150 jobs OUT of Springfield, a centralized location within the state, and make a state-wide agency more inaccessible. Oh... wait... the GOVERNOR'S office is in a corner of the state too, isn't it. Well, at least he thinks so.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both have a huge credibility issue - trying to play themselves off as "regular folks." Neither is "regular folks" from where I sit - and I wish the people with the straight party mentality would wake up and smell the coffee.

Riddle me this - Why should Debbie Halvorson of Crete represent downstate 11th Congressional District? Halvorson has been fully in the pocket of Clown Prince Emil Jones for the last 3 years, doing his bidding and serving as the principal roadblock in service to King Rod Blagojevich during her tenure as the chair of the Illinois Senate's Rules Committee?

Ah, you have to love King Rod Blagojevich's staff, loyal to the core. Abby Ottenhoff said in the press statement yesterday that "We have to take action now" when referring to King Rod's "new" plan to combat street violence in Chicago.

Do the folks in the mainstream media really think Clown Prince Emil Jones is going to let any measure that would hamper his or King Rod Blagojevich ability to raise heaps of hot sweaty cash come to a vote on the Senate floor? Does anyone in Illinois really believe the Senate, controlled by the Chicago Democrats who play favors for dollars, will vote to approve this?

  • Third Way for FHA
Washington seems to agree it's time to change the Federal Housing Administration to help lenders get out of bum loans. Now three proposals are bouncing around the Hill to make it happen. Which one will pass? Bet on Bush's plan.

  • Internet Fraud Report Shows Increase
Beware that email tugging at your heart strings. Instead of there being a lovable pooch needing adopted, the love of your life waiting to be in your arms, or a needy family trying to move money out of a war-torn country - there is probably a 30-something year-old man waiting to rip you off. Those are the big three scams being pulled on the internet

  • Racism is Racism - Obama Should Recognize This
Would you belong to an organization with this value system? Barack Obama does - and the Black community rallies around a racist creed.
  • Getting Used Car Parts
With our economy in such dire straights, people are searching for ways to stretch their budgets. Some are turning to avenues they have never traveled before. As they search for ways to extend their hard earned dollar, junk yard shopping will see a surge of "new" customers for "old" parts.

  • Illegal Immigration - It's Not About Race, Stupid
As some of you can tell, this past week I've written more than my fair share of commentary about the situation of illegal aliens flooding into the United States, which some have taken to be racially motivated. I love hate mail – it means someone is paying attention to what I’m writing about what the left is calling “illegal immigration.”

  • Way to GO Arizona!
The LA Times does a nice job of detailing just how important the states' roles are going to be in battling the invasion of illegal aliens into the United States. But why do they sound sorry for the plight of Mexican city Sonora, where most of Arizona's Mexican Invaders are choosing to repatriate? E-Verify is working - why not in Illinois?
  • Neo-Luddites and Oil Addiction
I am ashamed to say that I have wrestled with pigs this week - not real pigs mind you, but energy pigs. Folks who refuse to acknowledge that, despite all the evidence, and despite their obvious American patriotism, that Oil Is Dead as America's - and the world's - primary energy source.
  • Homeland Security and Bloggers Meet
Someone in the administration of President George W. Bush is taking seriously the impact the blogosphere - citizen journalists? - are having on the way people see the world, and how they perceive government. None other than Michael Chertoff, Secretary of Homeland Security. But does Chertoff really embrace the new media?
