Hi, I am the Founder/President of the Laugh at Cancer Organization Inc., which is a non-profit that is based here in Jacksonville, Florida. I am passing out small gifts and fleece throw blankets to local cancer centers. This way, LACO can offer hope to these patients on their journey throughout cancer’s touch.
I am collecting these blankets of any colors for men and women, who are currently undergoing chemotherapy. If you are interested in helping us, please contact me personally and I will give you my mailing address. However, if you are interested in making a Gift of Love donation to this project, please contact me for my PayPal information. Any amount of blankets would help us give hope to these courageous patients, who need support and encouragement. These inexpensive blankets can be found at Wal-Mart or Target for about $2-6. The LACO is holding a blanket drive online and offline to collect 500 blankets or as many as we can. These blankets will let patients know that there are people out here, who care about what they are facing and keep them warm during chemotherapy. However, LACO needs your help to make this monthly Day of Hope project possible! Thank for helping us make a difference now in the lives of families facing cancer’s devastating touch. The initials LACSC stands for the organization, which I founded called the Laugh at Cancer Support Community. Oct. 28th, I celebrated the first ever LACSC Day of Hope and enjoyed making the patients smile. Now, the 28th of every month, I will be visiting local cancer centers to give out small gifts to cancer patients. Each month, I will pick a different clinic to visit in the Jacksonville, Florida area. These small gifts will give each patient hope and encourage them to continue their fight. How can I help? There are several ways to celebrate LACSC Day of Hope. I am collecting donations like fleece throw blankets, small figurines (dollar store), and money (Paypal) to keep the project alive. By donating, you will help put smiles on the faces of those patients, who are battling cancer every month. In addition, you may also celebrate in your own community by gathering up same types of donations and giving them out locally to cancer centers in your area. Let's Restore Hope Together Either way, you choose to help, will help restore hope to patients fighting cancer daily. Additionally, you will meet new friends and enjoying the time you spend with them. So, please join me and the LACSC community in celebrating life and bring hope to those in need.
