Just one photo from this weekend

The comment system on this blog has changed. I am now using the comment system provided by HaloScan.com

The down side is that all the old comments were lost in the process, sad because some people left some great complements!

View from Flumserberg Switzerland new years eve

Evening sun setting over the mediterainian sea

Sunday afternoon driving around Zurich lake. And the sun low in the sky

A busy market place, again taken on our trip to Morocco I found this man selling eggs. Just as I pressed the shutter button a guy walks past pushing a bike with "golden eagle" written on the bike seat. Its the mad sun visor the old man is wearing together with the connection of eggs and the eagle that I like the most.

View from the top of Mt. Säntis. This one gives you a fee for just how high up you are when at the top. And a nice view of the mountain range that goes off into the distance.

Taken from the top of Mt Säntis CH. It was the first shot taken of the day with an incorrect white balance setting. Still it turned out to be dramatically interesting enough to post.

From another trip but this time Morocco. Driving through the middle of nowhere when this woman pops up with her children by her side and invited us into her tent for mint tea and goats milk. While she allowed me to take photographs she would never look into the camera, not that I was asking her to I just observed the way that she looked away when the camera was out and directly at me when it was put away. The Berber people are nomadic, living in large woolen tents herding goats, sheep or whatever.

Taken on a recent trip through Tunisia, the old man looking off into the distance and the young boy looking directly at the camera, both framed by the bright blue doors behind them.

While taking a few pictures around Zurich city I came across this boy who was fishing with only a line and no rod. I decided to try to capture the moment showing the busy city lights and the lonely boy, perhaps trying to catch his supper. But then again it could have been his Porsche parked at the end of the jetty!

Taken in the dark using only candle light. The image was captured in RAW format then converted to sepia and JPG format in Photoshop. No other changes were made to the image settings.

Here is yet another picture from the bathroom sink, this time playing around with the white balance to produce the blue effect of the water in a normal tungsten lighting background. The picture is slightly rotated to give a feel of closeness.
