The LaCie Electron 22blue series is a 55cm/22" intelligent, microprocessor-based monitor compatible with most analog RGB (Red, Green, Blue) display standards, including PS/V, PS/2, Apple Macintosh Centris, Quadra, Macintosh II and Power Macintosh family signals. It provides crisp text and vivid color graphics with VGA, SVGA, XGA (non-interlaced), and most Macintosh-compatible color video cards. The monitor's wide auto-scanning compatibility range makes it possible to upgrade video cards or software without purchasing a new monitor.
The first thing I noticed about the monitor was the size, with dimensions of 468x492x483.2 mm, the 900IFT isn't a small monitor and I had to rearrange the test bench a bit so the 900IFT would fit. Built using Samsung's DynaFlat technology, the actual dot mask is curved both on the horizontal and vertical axis. On the IFT series of monitors this curvature is very slight and almost unnoticeable but it is there, however it's not as obvious as with Samsung's Syncmaster DF's series of monitors.
It was very nice to see that Samsung kept the bezel of the monitor clean and free of gimmicks unlike some of it's competitors. The controls were easily accessible from the bezel just under the screen and the menu's are easy to use and pretty much self explanatory. The maximum resolution of the 900IFT is 1600x1200 with a refresh rate of 75 Hz which is very respectable for a 19" monitor.
If you're waiting for your screen to be delivered, please don't despair, we've had to take a break for a few days- work sometimes gets on top of the best of us. As of Wed 28 Jun 06, we're running 5 days behind, but expect to catch up today.

Well, what can we say. An amazing piece of kit, suprassed in our opinion only by the likes of the Mitsubishi 2060u and LaCie Blue 22 (manufactured of course by Mitsubishi!). We like these screens- a lot. still, they never seem to stay in the shop long enough :-(
This is a great LCD screen and comes with 3 years manufacturers warranty. The 19 inch screen is big enough to accomodate just about anything you need to to on your computer. Utilitising a high density 15 pin plug, it will connect to any standard VGA port. Clarity and brightness of the screen is great on this monitor.
