Sep.5 (GMM) A 2006 car of the defunct formula one team Super Aguri has reportedly sold at auction for $150,000. Driven by Takuma Sato, the car - one of the last assets of the Leafield based team to be sold by its liquidator - was bought by a Japanese fan.

Sep.5 (GMM) Fernando Alonso acknowledges that moving to the Ferrari team for 2009 is not among his options. Despite the Italian team's president stopping by the Renault garage for a chat with the Spaniard at the recent Monza test, Luca di Montezemolo also made clear that Ferrari will head into next season with an unchanged driver lineup.

Sep.4 (GMM) World champion Kimi Raikkonen on Thursday did not rule out helping his Ferrari teammate win the 2008 title, should his own championship chances continue to dwindle. Felipe Massa, who is on top form in the sister F2008, insists he has not yet been conferred official number one status, despite his 7 point advantage over Raikkonen in their pursuit of championship leader Lewis Hamilton.

Sep.4 (GMM) Fernando Alonso on Thursday said he will make a decision about his team for 2009 soon , but denies reports an announcement is due in seven days time at Monza. I will decide very soon on what I will do next year and what possibilities there are but there is not a fixed day, the Spaniard, who currently drives for Renault, told reporters at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.

Sep.4 (GMM) Bridgestone has developed a wet-weather formula one tyre that it says could be used in all rainy conditions at grands prix. Currently, the regulations require F1's official single tyre supplier to offer two compounds of wet tyres - 'standard' and 'extreme' - to teams.
