With Andrew and John out and about, Anthony Gallegos makes his 1UP Yours debut by giving us impressions of Schizoid. Other games discussed include Mirror's Edge, Soul Calibur 4, Mercenaries 2, and the ever-controversial Too Human. All this, plus community discussion on gaming quirks, a news segment full of new game announcements good and bad, and our predictions and musings over what might be waiting for us at E3 next week. We couldn't imagine a more awesome way of starting your weekend.

John Davison helps celebrate our independence with impressions of Too Human. Throw in some Quantum of Solace, PixelJunk Eden, Soul Calibur 4, Wario Land, and Diablo 3, and you got yourself some 1UP Yours. But we save the real fireworks for the end, with Silicon Knights' Denis Dyack joining us for a declaration of his own regarding the state of Internet messageboards.

It's an avalanche of game impressions as Garnett and Shane return to the show. Call of Duty: World at War, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Dead Space, Ghostbusters, Alone in the Dark, MGS4, Killzone 2, and many more. Two and one half hours of love kicks off your weekend.

Garnett, Shane, and John are all unable to make it, so instead of running the poolside episode again, Andrew takes over hosting duties. He invites Philip Kollar, Shawn Elliott, and Jay Frechette to talk about Alone in the Dark, Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm, a little more Metal Gear, Tecmo's troubles, and recent E3 leakage.

We are joined by Kojima Productions' Ryan Payton, who is on a whirlwhind American tour for Metal Gear Solid 4. The crew talks about our experiences with the game so far, a quick assortment of what other games we've been playing, and the May NPDs.

John Davison joins us again for Four Minute Warning, plus continuing impressions of GTA4 and Boom Blox, and news on Doom 4, Killzone 2, and the questionable relevance of Home.

Grand Theft Auto 4! But first, The World Ends With You, Team Fortress 2, Space Invaders Extreme, Metal Gear Online, Wii Fit in hotels, and Guitar Hero: On Tour. But after all that, Grand Theft Auto 4!

Shawn and Shane are on vacation, which leaves Garnett to fend for himself. He makes a blanket fort in the studio and invites Simon Cox, James Mielke, Jeff Green, and Nick Suttner to discuss Boom Blox, Mario Kart, Trackmania, and how online gaming can remain relevant in 2008.

In honor of Mortal Kombat vs. DC, it's 1UP Yours vs. GFW Radio. Jeff Green joins the crew, and bears witness to Shawn's antics in 125-man GTA San Andreas. Elsewheres, Garnett plays the new Team Fortress 2 content and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, and we speculate on the next generation of game players.

N'Gai Croal and Geoff Keighley are in town, so it's time for a Five (!) Minute Warning, impressions from Nintendo's press event, a Fallout 3 appreciation festival, and Microsoft's rumored motion controller.

Brad Shoemaker takes time out during his new pro leisure tour to come down for a guest spot in the fourth chair this week. He fesses up to having to play games just to get ready -- a tough job, but someone has to do it. And Shane finally spills the details from his trip to Japan with a full segment worth of Metal Gear Solid 4 love.

With John Davison making the treacherous 1-block trek to the office, the guys sit down to yak about the 50 Cent sequel, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, the PC Pile of Shame, purple Spider-men, Shane's relationship with Smash Bros. fans, and the $7,000 PC. Garnett yaks so much, he almost loses his voice!

Shane returns from Japan with news about games that he can't share. To compensate, we talk a ton about Condemned 2, Dark Sector, Soul Calibur IV, and Smash Bros. worthiness as a "fighter," in quotation marks and all that. Plus a visit to the message boards, Rock Band's in-game store, and the soul of Tom Clancy.

We fill three temporarily empty chairs with three 1UP editors: Sam Kennedy, James Mielke, and Scott Sharkey. Topics include, but are not limited to: what we'll be playing this spring and summer, EA's aggressive pursuit of Take Two, and hands-on playtime with the Zerg in Starcraft 2.

This week, Bryan Intihar joins the 1UP Yours crew...permanently. And joining us on a temporary basis is our old friend and Gamasutra.com Features Editor Christian Nutt. The guys tackle a surprisingly hefty amount of content, including Devil May Cry 4, NFL Tour, Peggle for iPod, and what will eventually be known as Yakuza 3. Then the discussion turns to the games of 2008, specifically what we think is receiving a little too much attention, and what isn't receiving enough. Oh, also: the December NPDs and throwing tomatoes at Garnett during GDC.

After a week of long days and longer nights at CES 1UP previews editor Matt Leone and news editor Patrick Klepek join Garnett to recap the gaming highlights from the show including their hands-on time with Soul Calibur IV as well as looks at The Agency and Space Siege. Gamevideo's David Ellis also comes along to give the perspective of how the show looked from the outside. In the second segment Shane hops into his usual spot for a news segment filled with everything from David Jaffe adding his voice to the support for a one-console future to the PSP becoming a serious Net appliance with the addition of Skype capabilities to its growing gadget specs. After a week off to recuperate and take in some Holiday cheer 1UP Yours returns to ring in the New Year with John Davison and Simon Cox joining Shane and Garnett for the show. While the group kicks off '08 with plenty to talk about, we learned a little lesson about iPhones and their effect on recordings. You know that buzzing noise some cell phones cause on speakers? Yeah, iPhones can do that for extended stretches. To spare you that annoyance we edited out the stretches with the worst buzzing, but that winds up with a few strange edits. So when you hear the subject abruptly change, well, now you know what happened. Fortunately, most of the show came through ok, and there's plenty in it to get you talking too from Garnett expressing his disappointment with Assassin's Creed when he finally got around to trying it to the guys recapping their hits and misses from the '07 predictions. And of course, the '08 prognostication is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Grab the download and let the New Year finally begin. It's '08, confirmed!

With all the holiday spirit in the air, not to mention the glasses, 1UP Yours continues to cut its epic swath through the season. As promised, Jeff Cannata from the joins Shane and Garnett with a fresh take on what he's been playin'. He fits right in jumping right into the think of things and wasting no time challenging popular opinion on Mass Effect. And in the fourth chair David "Big Fun" Ellis from Game Videos makes his 1UP Yours debut in classic style raising eyebrows with his less than stellar opinion of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue imported from Japan. Back from a weekend with family Garnett continues the theme, pilling on to FFXII Revenant Wings. But lest it all go downhill the guys get to talk about several great games as well, including Shane offering a few more tidbits about Devil May Cry 4. Speaking of Shane, he's homeward bound next week, so he and Jeff start the 1UP Yours look back at 2007 that we'll continue next week as well. And in news the group checks in on everything from the new Duke Nuke 'Em Forever teaser video to the cool new updates to the PS3 and PSP firmwares. On the 8th day of Christmas NPD Group gave to me, 466,000 PS3s. Yes, it's numbers time once again, and Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, and Mario Galaxy are leading the Holiday charge. Garnett, Shane, Bryan, and Andrew also go on a Wii bender with Zack and Wiki, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and Super Mario Galaxy.
