Today the town is mostly a seaside resort known for the Apollonia art and film festival (which takes place in early September) and is named after one of Sozopol's ancient names. The busiest times of the year are, of course, the summer months, ranging from May to September as tourists from around the world come to enjoy the fine weather, sandy beaches, history and culture, fusion cuisine (Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish), and overall atmosphere of the colourful resort. The increasing popularity of the town has led to it being dubbed the Bulgarian St. Tropez, seeing stars like Ralph Fiennes, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Goldfrapp exploring its beauty and charm[1]. With its integrated modern design and state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems...LED lit back bars, HDTV projection screen and fine custom made furniture…presenting LUX as the hottest destination. LUX is decked out with a 15 x 15 ft screen on the wall next to a 25 ft wall of top-shelf liquor. This is a must-stop-club in Delaware.
LUX is the prototype of tomorrow’s all inclusive space introducing the concept of a “café – lounge – club” to Wilmington…contemporary and stylish… Interior design had a significant part in creating LUX with its café, lounge, club environment. LUX enlisted Inside Out Designs, based in Wilmington, Delaware, with over 20 years of experience. The interior design group started with a sparse space and turned it into a spectacularly plush fresh interior. In order to create this multifaceted space, LUX chose furniture custom designed by Richard Herzog. Herzog’s task was to create pieces of furniture that were ultra comfortable, yet keeping with the modern and sophisticate design. The end result was masterful pieces of furniture sure to please everyone. The design team used the floor materials and wall colors as a canvas to compliment the décor, choosing earth-in paint pallet to express relaxed tonality. A polymer poured marble textured floor produces an inviting transitional stream throughout the entire base of the space. On the mezzanine, an Angelic hard wood floor extends warmth to the elevated area. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Source and images from russianDe.com Official site LUX Club and Lounge I was impressed, very nice :) having fun @ ChillOut Club w/ Keith Thomson (beetschneeg) ![]() For one of the very best views on Moscow, head there. Located on the 22nd floor of the Russian Academy of Sciences building, this fancy cafe has a cool interior and offers delicious food in addition to its great location, the longest bar-stand in Moscow and the summer terrace. The cuisine is mainly French Fusion and Mediterranian, the music is well-selected lounge and downtempo. Getting there is an experience in itself: imagine getting to a large research center, then taking a special elevator to the top floor (wallpaper with clouds is a striking contrast to the stark interior of the research center's ground floor). You then arrive to the 22nd floor, where you are met by a polite security guy who leads you to the restaurant. ![]() ![]() ![]() Link to Sky Lounge ![]() Chill out (sometimes chillout), a term derived from a slang injunction to relax, emerged in the early and mid-1990s as a catch-all term for various styles of relatively mellow, slow-tempo music made by contemporary producers in the electronic music scene. A number of compilations with "Chill Out" in their titles were released in the mid-1990s and beyond, helping to establish the genre as being very closely related to downtempo and trip hop but also incorporating, especially in the early 2000s, slower varieties of house music, nu-jazz, psybient, and lounge music. The genre also includes some forms of trance music, ambient music, and IDM, and it has entirely subsumed the older genre Balearic Beat, although that term is still used interchangeably with chill out. Chill out is generally tonal, relaxing (or at least not as "intense" as other music from the styles it draws from), and generally does not incorporate music that emphasizes "hard," "deep," or particularly hypnotic rhythms. It is sometimes called "soft techno". An entire culture surrounding chill out music has evolved, with many fashionable bars and clubs, designed with a retro or futuristic ambience, devoted to the genre. The chill out styles are similar to the Leftfield scene inspired by the group of that name. There are many bands that make chill out music, such as Lemon Jelly, Urban Myth Club and the aptly named Chillage People; DJs that specialise in chill out like Youth, Alex Paterson, Dr. Chill, Unity Dub, The Only Michael, Chris Coco, Pete Lawrence and Mixmaster Morris, the latter known for having released Global Chillage; organisations that focus on this style like Portugal's Chillout Zone and Liquid; record labels like Liquid Sound Design, Vagalume, Ultimae and Interchill; and events such as The Big Chill and Sundaze. Often music is mixed with video art mixed by VJs with gentle, relaxing images of nature or electronic graphics. source here ![]() Touted as the original sunset café and first established in 1980.
