Follow twin baby daily mishaps and misadventures. Is it their fault or their idiot parents? Sun, 13 Apr 2008 18:25:00 +0200 I personally do not believe that children get buckteeth from a pacifier Wed, 04 Apr 2007 20:24:00 +0200 ![]() Are toddlers supposed to start potty training on one of those small floor-style potty We bought the Eddie Bauer potty What about potty training pants Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start potty training? I've looked at all the potty training aids Thu, 29 Mar 2007 20:00:00 +0200 The twin twin set has been eating in booster-type chairs on the floor for a while, but I'm starting to wonder if we need to buy highchairs There are some booster The ones we have now are older and don't have seatbelts. We bought them at a second-hand sale for multiples in our area. They were only $10, but I guess you get what you pay for... Mon, 12 Mar 2007 20:12:00 +0100 ![]() The twin baby set decide that the changing table is no longer for only changing diapers. They've now learned to pull out the baskets of toddler books If you think your toddlers won't like stuffed animals, you've got to get a few of these little tiny beanie babies Tue, 27 Feb 2007 19:53:00 +0100 We finally had to leave Arizona and come home to Chicago. Oh, I hate the cold here, and we were greeted with 6 inches of snow! This was the first snow for the twin set...or at least the first snow they were able to play in. Last year when they were born 5.5 weeks early, they certainly couldn't be taken out in bad weather. Here's a picture of them from the NICU. We had to buy snow suits The Twin twin dad took the twin set out to play in the snow, and he made an igloo for them. They started playing, and we found the twin boy in the igloo. Unlike their mother, they seem to love the snow... It was pretty funny when the twin girl kept falling backward in the snow; I'll try to include a video link. We also had to get snow shovels Tue, 13 Feb 2007 23:55:00 +0100 ![]() We've been in Phoenix now for 4 weeks, and I love it! I would give almost anything to live here during the winter. The twin twin set seems to enjoy it too. We go for a walk every day; most days it's 65-70 degrees F. We brought out stroller The one thing I hadn't anticipated was the rain. It has rained at least 2-3 days each week we've been here. One day, it started pouring and we didn't make it back in time. I was pulling the twin boy out and running into the house, but the twin girls was left out in the rain for the time it took me to get the twin baby boy inside. She thought it was fun! We're going home next week, so I'm already dreading it... Sat, 13 Jan 2007 19:33:00 +0100 We decided to spend a few of the coldest weeks here in Chicago away in Phoenix, so we took the fraternal twins on their first plane ride. It was just about the worst experience of my life so far--the plane ride. The twin girl cried for 2.5 hours of the 4-hour plane ride, but the twin boy was fine. I think the twin girl refused to go to sleep on the plane, so she totally skipped one of her naps and was not happy.
We were so busy trying to keep the other passengers from killing the twin girl that we practically forgot about the twin boy, but we found him asleep just where we left him, across the isle. We were lucky to have an entire row to ourselves! After arriving at the outlaws' place just east of Phoenix, the fraternal twins settled down. My outlaws are awesome: they bought two Graco Pack N Play Thu, 07 Dec 2006 14:49:00 +0100 ![]() We tried to take the twin baby set's picture today with our horrible digital camera I'll post the picture we're going to use, but I'm definitely not happy with it. They look like deer in headlights. What do you think? Oh, we're buying a new digital camera Wed, 06 Dec 2006 20:08:00 +0100 The twin baby set seems to be dealing with a case of pink eye. The twin sister had it last week, but I really didn’t think it was pink eye until the twin baby boy showed signs of it last night. We ordered some pink eye relief drops from the twin twin store.
I thought pink eye was much worse than this: the fraternal twins seem tired, and the area on their eyelids, around the eyes, is red with guppies. It’s worse after they wake up since the guppies seem more excessive and are dried up, almost keeping their eyes shut. The twin sister isn’t showing any symptoms today, but the twin baby boy ‘s eye is still red, just the left one. We had plans to have some friends over today: a set of fraternal twins born just six weeks after our twins, and their mom of course, were going to come over to play and eat lunch, but I called them last night to let them know about the baby boy’s eyes, and they decided not to come. I was sure that would be the outcome. Tue, 05 Dec 2006 21:27:00 +0100 ![]() Yesterday, the twin baby boy injured his leg because he's gotten too big for the carseat carrier So I went out and bought carseats I decided we need to use the new carseats Sat, 02 Dec 2006 18:37:00 +0100 The twin baby boy had a mishap in the bouncers (bouncy chairs)
Yes, he strapped them into the bouncers (bouncy chairs) I heard the twin baby boy screaming – and it wasn’t an “I want out scream.” It was an “I’m hurt or in trouble” scream. Fortunately, I was just across the hall, and when I got to the playroom, the twin baby boy was upside down with his head under the bouncers (bouncy chairs) These bouncers (bouncy chairs) Has this happened to your fraternal twins or twin baby set? Fri, 01 Dec 2006 15:15:00 +0100 ![]() Today it’s snowing out, and we’re expecting to get about 12 inches. The twin baby set needs snowsuits The twin twin father will want to take the fraternal twins outside in the snow, but the twin sister would quickly come out of her blanket since she is constantly on the move, and what if something happened to one of the fraternal twins, and we had to rush in the house, and left one twin baby outside without being in snowsuits So today, before we plan to go outside, I’m going to MY STORE ONLINE to order the snowsuits Do you think it will be okay to take them out in blankets before the snowsuits Thu, 30 Nov 2006 16:11:00 +0100 ![]() We had to buy the twin baby set corner and edge guards I put the corner and edge guards I know these corner and edge guards In this picture, the twin baby set is sitting on the fireplace. I know those corner and edge guards I saw on Amazon that fireplace edge guards Sun, 26 Nov 2006 00:03:00 +0100 ![]() My fraternal twins have really outgrown their Double Snap N Go by Baby Trend Swann The twin stroller is actually just an twin twin infant carseat carrier frame, not an actual stroller, since it requires the carseat carrier to hold the twin baby set. The twin stroller frame has been a life saver for my twin boy and twin girl twin baby set, but once they reach about 22 pounds, they are ready to move into the DuoGlider by Graco If you get this twin stroller, be aware that only ONE infant carseat carrier comes with it, if you buy the DuoGlider by Graco Sun, 19 Nov 2006 21:00:00 +0100 ![]() This week the fraternal twins turned 10 months old and had their first Thanksgiving. I've noticed that the twin boy is asserting his strength a bit more: he takes his twin sister 's binky (pacifier) I'm not so concerned about the twin boy taking the twin girl 's binky, but what about when he starts hitting or scratching his twin sister ? Actually, he scratches now, not on purpose, but he likes to grab things, especially the twin girl 's blinking eyes. How can I stop this? Fri, 10 Nov 2006 22:52:00 +0100 ![]() The fraternal twins are now able to crawl. The twin girl has been doing it for about three weeks, and the twin boy just started. The twin baby set can also pull themselves up onto their knees. The fraternal twins ‘ dad had to install a wall-mount baby gate This wall-mount baby gate If you click this link wall-mount baby gate Thu, 09 Nov 2006 21:26:00 +0100 This week the twin girl started standing by herself. Her twin boy brother still cannot pull himself up. The twin girl can stand for about one minute without holding on to anything. She's 9.5 months old, and with the twin pregnancy ending at 35 weeks, the twin girl is right on track, even though she could easily be a bit behind.

![]() The twin baby set had its first Halloween. The twin girl was a pumpkin; the twin boy was a pumpkin as well. In fact, they wore the same twin baby costume The costume We didn’t have many trick-or-treaters, which was probably good since I could dress only one of the fraternal twins in a costume. Sat, 14 Oct 2006 22:18:00 +0200 ![]() The twin baby girl and twin baby boy are now able to hold their own bottles More photos. The twin boy actually held his better at first, and the twin girl just liked to shake the bottle to watch the milk fly. The twin twin boy likes to watch his twin sister do that. Now, we’re able to put them on the couch with their bottles Wed, 04 Oct 2006 23:02:00 +0200 ![]() The twin girl loves to act like she’s drinking coffee The twin baby boy has no interest in trying to drink from a cup, except he does like to chew on his sippy cup I’m not sure when the fraternal twins will transition from the bottle to sippy cup Here she is with my coffee What would you do for your morning cup? Fri, 29 Sep 2006 22:31:00 +0200 ![]() The twin baby set saw their paternal grandfather for the first time this month. The twin girl, who usually does great with strangers, had no problems; the twin boy, who normally cries around his fraternal grandparents, did great as well. The grandparents brought the cutest twin baby gifts My father played so well with the fraternal twins. I was surprised to see him roll around on the floor with both the twin girl and the twin boy. It was so cute. The twin baby set helped celebrate my father and his wife’s 25th wedding anniversary. We were honored that they chose to visit the twin twin s on such a special occasion. I've been surprised that my dad calls frequently since the visit to check on the fraternal twins. I don't believe he ever bonded with any of the others quite as well. Perhaps it's age... If you know twins and need to get them twin gifts, definitely check out twin baby gifts Sat, 16 Sep 2006 22:42:00 +0200 ![]() Here are the fraternal twins at 8 months. The twin girl still looks like a twin boy to me, and my friends say she doesn’t, but I know they are just being kind. I try to dress the twin girl in pink twin girl clothes The fraternal twins are sitting up well now. The twin baby set very rarely falls backward, although the twin girl sometimes plays a game where she throws herself back, but we have these great playmats The twin boy wasn’t able to sit up as soon as the twin girl, but they’re both coming along fine now. Sat, 02 Sep 2006 22:48:00 +0200 The fraternal twins are now rocking on their hands and knees. The twin girl has been doing it for about a week, and the twin boy just started. I believe the twin sister wanted to get at a particular toy
The fraternal twins when they are not rocking push themselves up with their arms, which causes the twin baby set to move backward. You can imagine the frustration this causes, moving backward when the toy Tue, 29 Aug 2006 22:37:00 +0200 ![]() We decided to make a picture that compares the twin boy ‘s growth. The picture on the right was taken of the twin boy at 12 weeks (3 months), and the picture on the left was taken of the twin boy at 24 weeks (6 months). The growth We couldn’t take a picture of the twin girl this way because she could not stand at 12 weeks. The twin baby would buckle her legs every time, so we could compare only one of the fraternal twins ‘ growth chart at this stage. We finally decided to buy the fraternal twins each a growth Thu, 10 Aug 2006 23:10:00 +0200 ![]() The fraternal twins finally got in the pool today. We had a pool party, and our neighbors and a few friends came over. The twin baby set did great in the water. We used the disposable baby swim pants or swimpants Don’t you just love these Bebe Pod We also just used some of their bath toys I had to keep putting sunscreen They loved the water, and fortunately the dad heated the pool because it really is too chilly for twin baby set just seven months old. You can probably tell that the twin girl is on the left in this shot, and the twin boy is on the right. |
