Hello, everyone. I'm a SEO specialist beginner. and now I'm currently leading a project on promoting a site and learning Web marketing strategies. I've read a lot of tips how to get links. the most popular strategies are subscribing the site to directories, posting articles, press-releases, exchanging links. But all these links don't give a good PR. In ideal if you have a good site you would get natural goog links. But what strategies would you sugggest to get them in some other way?

Some sites fake PR by looking for the Googlebot & redirecting it to a high PageRank site, like why not Google.com :) .. Google "thinks" that users actually land on Google.com and the PageRank reflects the PR of Google.com rather than your site. To know if a site fakes PR, just compare the Google's cache and the site see... If it is not the same, that's it.

Here is an estimation I've just found about the number of external links needed, according to the PageRank of the pages, to get a PageRank x : 1 link from PR x+2 4 links from PR x+1 19 links from PR x 100 links from PR x-1 550 links from PR x-2 3000 links from PR x-3 17000 links from PR x-4 93000 links from PR x-5 500000 links from PR x-6 2800000 links from PR x-7 Well, that doesn't help much for sure as the algorithm is probably so complex now :) .. What do you think ?

Hi This will surprise you after knowing that pagerank tool in toolbar shows wrong information and PageRank is updated after 3 months. PageRank tool always show 3 months old updation. Don?t be fool try to get site that tells true PageRank. Have a Nice Day Bye

I read that future Pagerank was calculated with the number of backlinks from Yahoo! search or MSN live search... It seems to me that's completely inaccurate :/ Does anybody knows other methods used to calculated future Pagerank ?
