Well, the site is back up with a bit of a flavor of where we are going from a New Look standpoint. The new skins for the site are actually still in development, so you will be seeing them in a while. Meanwhile, a couple of notes on changes:We have upgraded every aspect of the site. A new version of Joomla, phpBB 3, a new forum bridge, etc. Some stuff has been dropped to clean up the site a bit (sorry, no more shoutbox).Users that registered after May 17, 2008 and never posted have been (for the most...

Yes, we received the complete SDK with everyone else on the planet, so we are shaking off the dust and re-engaging the machine. We've had to see who we still have from the team on-board, as well as review where we left off at. So we hope shortly here we will have everyone moving in the same direction and a bit after that be able to share some mod goodness with you. Keep checking back. And if you are a serious level designer with some proficient past work to show us, we want to hear from you.

We've been working hard in the sound department, rubbing our chins and dreaming up new ways to implement sound in CryEngineTM 2. Fortunately Crysis looks to have a serious sound engine by default, totally pimped out to make Crysis sound incredible. It means we'll be able to get better results for audio than we could ever dream of on any other engine! I don't say this lightly, Sonic Valley (http://www.sonicvalley.com/) has used several engines over the years, from smaller indie projects like early 'Torque' to more recently Hl2's Source and Unreal 3. CryEngineTM 2 looks to have the most potential...
