Reviewing various websites for webmasters. Contextual text links in content for a high quality backlink. Have your site reviewed and increase your PageRank. Thu, 14 Feb 2008 06:15:00 +0100 Blogging is really a matter of writing and writing skills. That means that content of your blog is the most important thing. However, it is hard to evaluate one's article because whenever there is an attempt to do so, it usually boils down to a matter of opinions. Only two things are probably the keys: the truthfulness of content and English grammar, including spelling.
There are however other important tips and techniques to attract readers. Your quality article can look better with some tweaks. 1. Title A good title can grab visitors' attention, not the content of your articles. They only begin to read after being caught by a nice blog title. No need to exaggerate but think of what people would be interested in. 2.Series Provide a series of blog articles. This encourages to visitors to keep coming back. Think of a good theme for a series and develop the article in a longer period of time. 3.Reference Provide appropriate references or resources for further information on the subject to make readers be interested in. You don't need to link to other sites. You can provide good resources on your web pages. 4.Useful information It's all about getting information. If you have visitors on your blog, they are visiting yours because they want to get some information. Sometimes, they read it because they are bored or they find funny in your blog posts. But if you are to provide useful information, you can have more visitors, and they will keep coming back. Little techniques to grab peoples' attention is good, but useful information is always appreciated. Fri, 08 Jun 2007 09:59:00 +0200 As mentioned in the old post, this site originaly was built with free blogspot, as it was rather a test blog for this market. However, as we could see a good potential for the coming link building trend, we have relaunched the blog with a new domain.
Even though many blogspot blogs seem to get indexed by Google faster, blogger doesn't have an option to create category links yet, and that is rather a weak spot for us to offer services. Most of the category links in this blog have PR, but those are not exactly category links as you can see. Not only that, a new post will not go under any of those categories, unlike WordPress. So, we decided to open one based on WordPress, ContextualTextLink.com. Just like this blog, we will be offering the similar services for advertisers, with a better exposure, an every new post will be displayed on the home page as well as in a category link. The promotion of ContextualTextLink.com has started, and it is too early to make a comment on how the blog will go at this point, but we have achieved a high rank in Google with the keyword, the domain name. Contextual text links could be the next generation backlinks many webmasters would seek after as many would agree that links in articles can look more natural. Again, it is very early to conclude anything at this point. But in case this could be the next big hit, it is better to start and take the initiative, as that is an important business strategy. As you may know already, there are many services for bloggers who are publishers for the advertisers that want to buy contextual links in their blogs. It seems almost obvious how this trend would go. Fri, 04 May 2007 07:29:00 +0200 The newest PageRank update seems to be completed. Our blog, unfortunately, ended at PR3 this time. We are sure though that it will be at least PR4 in the next update.
The old blog based on free blogger had PR4, but we wanted to use a unique domain to attract more visitors and advertisers. The 301 redirection didn't seem to pass all the points. However, we are not officially open for taking advertisers yet! The current price is only $5, so jump in and grab this offer in this re-prelaunch. We will raise it in the next update when this blog gets PR4. Fri, 30 Mar 2007 22:34:00 +0200 Some webmasters already confirmed that Google's update had already begun. It seems some data centers updated PageRank about a week ago, but it is too early to say anything.
Expected TBPR update is by the 15th of April, but it could be earlier than that. 2 more weeks for this blog to get some PR, hopefully. Tue, 13 Mar 2007 06:14:00 +0100 We all love our pets. Pet sites are must-visit websites for pet lovers. You can simply enjoy pictures or get some interesting information or find great itmes for your pets.
--- Here is information for fish owners. A GREAT site with tons of aquarium and pond information. There is a link to lots of question and answer posts on a wide variety of topics ranging from fish health to aquarium products, from aquarium repair to pond setup, and much more. The site also includes a great article on UV (ultraviolet) sterilization as well as a number of filtration articles, and an overview of various types of aquarium filtration. There is an informative article on aquarium basics, as well as one on saltwater aquariums. These are just a few of the articles available on the aquarium and pond information website. A number of other useful pages covering everything from diseases to lighting to feeding to plants and so much more will provide you with hours of helpful and interesting reading. If you are seeking a good aquarium resource site, be sure to visit this one! --------- Some people take time and relax with their pets. Having pets is even one of ways to reduce our stress. Among all sorts of animals now considered as pets, including some weird ones, I think dogs are the most popular pets. One of the most important reasons why people choose dogs is that dogs are loyal to the owners, and this really matters to pet owners, whatever their pets are. Nothing better to have a nice dog that is always with you, even the dog is a senior one. The Advantage Of Owning A Senior Dog is probably only appreciated to those who know dogs well. But it's true that older dogs need to be taken care of more. Here is a valuable resource website for all dog owners, especially helpful for those with senior dogs. This website extensively covers dog skin problems, dog allergies, dog arthritis, hip-dysplasia, dog obedience, dog thunder phobia and so much more. You can also find fun topics such as dog birthday cakes, dog treats and rawhide chews plus a cute dog picture on almost every page within the site. Tue, 27 Feb 2007 20:16:00 +0100 Any webmaster who are into SEO knows that backlinks, both quality and quantity, are so important to determine the site PageRank as well as position in SERPs even though PR doesn't reflect directly to SERPs.
But the link development is not a matter of gaining any backlink you can find. To be recognized by Google as an authoritive site, you must focus on what kind of link profile you are creating. Is it made from all sorts of links? Or is it mainly from relevant links. When you hear a quality link, it is usually safe to say any link that is relevant to your site theme. Of course, you can go more than that. A quality link can be a link from old well established site. Or a link from high PR, as you know it already. It seems that Google begins to recognize our link profiles now. Based on them, they determine how valuable your site is. So, it is not a matter of quantity as it never was. But it was not a matter of matching with the relevancy itself either. It's more a matter of who is linking to you and if the site is well recognized by Google, authoritive in that niche, then yours will be considered as more valuable also. Fri, 02 Feb 2007 22:15:00 +0100 The blog's inner pages, category pages are now PR3. Some of them are PR2 after the recent Google update. This is a great news. Advertisers who buy contextual links in a blog usually do not get any PageRank benefit because whenever new posts are added, the old ones are pushed off the front page where the PR is.
Unlike other businesses via contextual blog links, this blog can offer a better deal. Every advertiser can have a permanent link in a specific themed category with PR. This is exactly what I planned. The directory structure in a blog. Pretty cool idea :) Wed, 31 Jan 2007 03:41:00 +0100 How contextual blog links help my website in terms of SEO? It was a question I was asked some time ago. Unlike other text link advertisings on someone's web page, links within content are more valuable.
This is of course a theory supported by many SEO experts. Nowadays, a link at footer may not be so valuable especially a website has placed lots of irrelavant links to its domain theme. Furthermore, those links are simple anchor text with no other key terms or phrases. A blog has lots of content as its main reason and purpose serve all the bloggers. People use blogs to write or express something they like. So, blogs are more content based sites. The idea of contextual blog links for SEO purposes is, therefore, pretty right on the target. You both get link and content. So, the advantage of link within a content is obvious. Such links surely can look more natural and don't seem so artificial. This new trend has been one of the hottest topics in text link industry. I'm not sure how long this could last, but to live now, this should be something any SEO webmaster can not miss. Mon, 29 Jan 2007 10:58:00 +0100 In order for me to review 1,000 sites, I would have to blog about more than 2 websites a day. That would be a big challenge since posting whatever is not too easy.
Review time for a site can take up to 3 min. This is actually a big task for me because I own several other blogs and 4 websites. Of course, I don't need to update each one of them, but maintaining so many websites itself wear me out often. Blogging itself is much easier compared to offering an advertising service here. I don't need to think much for what I would need to post. All I do is let my fingers move even before my brain commands them what to do. But the most important thing is the time management. That's why blogging on 2 websites or more each day is a huge task for me. All I can hope is get fun websites to review at least. Wed, 17 Jan 2007 06:59:00 +0100 Some webmasters know that blog advertising is becoming very popular. In fact, when I noticed this new idea, I didn't think of creating a blog for this purpose. I didn't think of trying it either.
After seeing several other blogs doing the reviews, I have decided to join the club. Of course, the main reason is that this is still new and not too competitive yet. A good benefit for advertisers is that their links will be within content. Such links look more natural in the eyes of SEs as you know. It seems that link exchange and other rather old SEO techniques are really not effective any more. That's why people started to purchase text links, hoping one way links would be more valuable and pass PR points better. Article directories function the same as this blog ad basically, except listed links are often buried in deeper pages. Free service, most of them are, so it's not bad at all. But then that niche is also saturated these days. So, let's see how this trend will go. Site review blogs will do well, I think. I am sure you would agree with me since you are reading this :) Tue, 16 Jan 2007 23:55:00 +0100 I did not expect to start reviewing websites so soon. The blog is still in the process of advertising and marketing itself, but it seems the update by Google did good to my blog. It may not stay as it is, but all category pages are PR3 for some reason. This is very unexpected, but I hope it stays so. The funny thing is that the main page is still has no PR, very odd.
It will be ok anyways because this site review blog is for a longer term success. My plan is to get good traffic and PR as high as 5 or 6. And that would take some time for sure. However, it is good for me to have some fund in order to advertise this blog itself. For that, I need some sites to be reviewed. I haven't disclosed my contact info yet as I was going to wait for several months. But whatever is happening, as long as category pages have PR, I think it's ok to open this blog for its advertising service. Tue, 09 Jan 2007 08:48:00 +0100 It is said that Google would update for PageRank soon, sometime around 15th of this month. I bet many webmasters are expecting a good result. Although PR is not all about SEO, I am one of PageRank fans.
Those who are new to SEO usually can not wait to see how well they have promoted in the last 3 to 4 months. I am sure you used to check your pagerank everyday whenever the next update was within 10 days. This review blog would have to wait for its PR till around April since it started in Dec. I hope it gets PR3 at least by the time. After all, without PR, I don't think I can continue this. It's about the time. Good luck with your site PR! Wed, 03 Jan 2007 04:45:00 +0100 This year would be a good one for my websites, including this blog. Although Google's PR update is just around the corner, and I can't say too much what would happen, I think I can expect something good. I am still preparing some stuff for this blog, but I really can not wait to start reviewing as many websites as possible. Come to think of it, after Dmoz being nearly dead, this blog could grow as big as it can be since it's pretty easy to maintain/maintained by Google. Everything is unlimited, too. The blog can have a structure like a directory as you can see those category links. All I need is to spend time and review sites and blog about them. Maybe that would be my challenge this year. But the first goal is to review 1,000 sites in this blog! Wed, 27 Dec 2006 21:51:00 +0100 An online dictionary says, "To look over, study, or examine again". I think that's a little too general. The purpose of this blog along with my intention was more like, "A report or essay giving a critical estimate of a work or performance". This blog has to have be some sort of goal and purpose when looking over and examining each site in terms of evaluation, rating, or criticism sometimes. An objective approach to evaluate a website is, of course, rather an ideal. As I have mentioned, I do not exclude my personal opinions or even feelings toward a site upon reviewing it. Again, this is just a little personal blog after all. Fairness should be given to all advertisers as well; thus the necessity of an objective approach should be considered when reviewing a site. Ultimately, this combination of objective and subjective approach is the core of my way of reviewing websites. Take it or leave it. Well, who cares my philosophy in this blog or what, right? Most folks would want to advertise for PR anyways :) Sat, 23 Dec 2006 20:28:00 +0100 Any blogger knows where to submit his blog feed or blog url. It's the same thing when you submit your url to a search engine. You've got to get it indexed!
After submitting well over 50 weblog sites, I think I can take a little break. It will take some time to get PageRank and recognized this blog. Hopefully by the next summer, I could start blogging folks' websites. Meanwhile, I guess I can keep blogging some more to make my blog bigger with rich content, focusing on site reviewing thing. Come to think of it, I would have to consider some SEO on this blog more besides backlinks. It's all about keywords, you know. Obviously, I would have to mention site review ad as the title of this blog. It could be used as advertising websites by my review, not bad at all. This reminds me of the plans I have made and the strategy which I would think of soon. What I need to think is how I would review someone's website. Should I simply give my opinion, likes/dislikes? That's way too easy but won't attract advertisers. I need to establish some standards and key factors how I would see, score, and evaluate. More to think and more to come... Tue, 19 Dec 2006 17:37:00 +0100 Happy B-day to me. This nasty virus is still bothering in my throat. It's getting better at least. I remember that I was sick even worse than this some years ago, on my b-day.
I don't believe in jinx or superstition. But I believe that stuff happens. That's just life. Live on and move on. I don't like to be sick, especially on my b-day. But what's the difference anyway. This is also another day. Regardless of this rather negative feeling and thought annoying in my head, this blog is pretty much ready for its promotion. I will be submitting rss feed to blog directories tomorrow, hoping I get some subscribers. No one is so interested in personal blogs? You may think so. Interestingly enough, I have known one that has got PageRank 8. I know it's very unusual to see a personal blog with PR8. Is he famous? Nope. He just writes some interesting stuff, I think. Or he simply has many friends to visit him. Anyway, I am hoping to get some folks through rss feed submissions. Give it a shot. If I hit it, it's good. If I miss it, that's ok, too. Tue, 19 Dec 2006 01:29:00 +0100 I like the word "pre-launch". It's one of the hottest keywords in MLM world. Whatever the current MLM trends are, this word always attracted people. The idea is that people supposedly could get in before the majority knows about a new MLM.
I don't mean to associate this post's title with MLM scheme, but I just thought about that after I named the title. Mine simply tells that I got some plans for this blog, and this project I'm thinking of is now in pre-launch stage. It's just a way to make people interested in whatever I am going to do. They don't need to know what as long as it sounds kinda interesting. But anyway, I just wanted people to know that I'm not ready to market and advertise this blog itself yet. So, I can't advertise your website yet. Things take time, you know. That's why I needed to have some plans. Take one step at a time. Does this make sense? After all, I do like to do things carefully. The challenge might be crazy and non-sense, but some careful plans could make things possible. That's my philosophy, you can say. Tue, 19 Dec 2006 01:13:00 +0100 Ok, I have chosen those categories now. And I hope I don't need to add more... It took over an hour to create them. Niche sub-categories are all popular ones, hoping I could accept many from them. Others are basically broad and general. Some of them are too general maybe.
In terms of SEO, I don't like to offer this service for a site that doesn't really fit in those categories well. But I wasn't going to have a hundred of them anyway, not a directory here. I will make Misc. category to let other sites in, not suggesting yours would be there, but I think there are folks who just want to get in! Mercy on them. The structure is basically set. All I need is to blog some more. I'll be blogging till I get 30 posts before marketing this. Gotta find some good stuff to write about now. Thank goodness I don't need a pen for it. After I set everything for taking reviews, this blog will be a part of our network at www.thebest25sites.com on its advertising information page. For further information on how your can buy a contextual blog link advertising, please read the guidelines there. Tue, 19 Dec 2006 00:36:00 +0100 Arts and Music Category -
