Best Advice - Making a Sign

  1. Keep your size 10% larger than your first consider. Signs are always better when larger.
2. Use Vector Graphics. This means drawing the objects and words in an outline matter and filling the object with color. If you draw in Illustrator, Corel etc as an outline. At any latter stage, you can scale the size up or down and not lose resolution.
3. Use photographs at high resolution. Dont use Gif's as they are color optimized. For modern work, JPE
   

Best Advice - Choosing a photo for signs or websites

  1. Lots of people find a photo that is not relevant for their sign or website. If your website is Tennessee based, use a picture with an American flavor. If in Australia, show the Sydney Harbor Bridge etc. We regularly get work where the photos are very confusing. They contain the wrong perception.
  Learn to use Photoshop or Similar and learn how to make a path.
 

This example is perfect for beauty products. Would not work for a Automotive Repair shop
