All eyes were on the beautiful John Deere Tractor in the breaks between classes at Thann, which was sponsored by the Munich firm Endress and Reiser.

There was a minute of silence today after the EYCup prizegiving for showjumper Christoph Dehning, who died of cancer last week.

For our classical music enthusiasts, plenty was on offer at Thann this year. The well-known opera singer Elke Maria Slawitschek sang arias from Puccini, and Markus Mester, solo trumpet at the Bamberg Symphony, appeared for a special concert.

They vault at Championship level and this hear will display their vaulting skills during the gala evening at our show: the Oberland 2 vaulting club also participated in the upper Bavarian Championships at Vaterstetten this weekend.

At the recent jumping show at Koenigsbrunn, one young lady and her hore were not to be overlooked: it was Natalie Kapes and her mare Ramina. They will compete at Thann later this year.
