It was another enjoyable night at Calow. The music was good, especially from guest DJ, Andy Riley who played a nice mix. It was nice to see a few people which I don't get to see too often these days. I'm really looking forward to next month.

What a good night, great music and atmosphere. The guest DJ Dougie Hall played an excellent spot of across the board soul. Also great spots from both the regular DJ'S Stuart and Keith. Thank you to everyone who attended to make this yet another wonderful night to remember. Hope to see you all again next month, June 7th. With guest DJ Steve Austin from Bestwood.

I can't believe how fast this month has gone. It doesn't seem more than a few days since the opening night of the Calow soul venue. I'm really looking forward to tonight and hoping it will be as enjoyable as last month. This venue has one of the best dance floors in the area. Almost as good as Barrow Hill, ;-). Also another advantage for me is it's only 5 miles from my home.

I'm looking forward to Barrow Hill tomorrow night. The guest DJ is Al Taylor. There will be free CD's on the door as it's our 3rd anniversary. If you haven't been before you won't be disappointed. It's across the board soul music with a superb dance floor, what more could you ask for! See you there.

What a great first night at Calow. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was not at all disappointed. The venue was really good with a brilliant dance floor. There were enough people for a nice atmosphere but not packed, probably due to the Skegness weekender. I'm looking forward to the next one now at the end of April.

Sorry I haven't presented any posts lately. I've been really busy with house guests recently. Prestatyn seems a long time ago and the weekend went so fast that it felt like it never really happened. I spent most of my time in the modern and crossover rooms and thought Soul Sam did excellent spots. All the acts were exceptionally good, I really enjoyed them. I'm hoping to go back in October as it's my birthday weekend and I would love to see the Spinners.

Had a good night at Bestwood. There were plenty in and it was nice to see a few people which I hadn't seen for a while. The music was good, but I expected to hear more modern. Steve Austin did a good spot even though he forgot to play my request. He's in trouble next time I see him, lol. It's Barrow Hill next Saturday with Guest DJ, Barry Cooper. Keith is away on holiday so it's thanks to Neil Page, who will be helping out again. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Only six weeks to Prestatyn. I'm really looking forward to it as usual. I have heard a rumour that this will be the last one, hopefully it's not true. Anyway whatever the outcome I'm sure it will be another enjoyable weekender.

I have placed two records today in memory of the great soul singer Bob Relf, who saddly passed away, November 20th 2007. He was born in Los Angeles January 10th 1937 and made his first solo record Little Fool in 1956. As we all know there were plenty to follow. He also recorded under the name of Bobby Garrett and in 1962 he replaced Bobby Day as part of the duo Bob & Earl. His music will live on in our hearts forever!

I think all who attended Barrow Hill Saturday night thoroughly enjoyed it. There were plenty in which lead to a good atmosphere. A big thanks to everyone for making this such a good night and especially to Guest DJ's Rob Wicks and Mort. Hope to see you all again next month, February 2nd.

Hope you all have a great 2008. I started the New Year off at Annesley and had a really good time. It wasn't over crowded and the atmosphere was just right. Saturday Jan 5th is our venue at Barrow Hill with Guest DJ's Mort and Rob Wicks. It's Phil's birthday so hopefully we shall get a good crowd in to help him celebrate.

I'm sorry that it's been a few days since changing the record. I have been very busy and couldn't find the time to fit it in. Anyway back on TRACK now! Hope you like it, it's one of my favourite dances.

Apart from the records mid way down the page I shall be changing the one at the top of the left hand side every day. Enjoy!

It was an enjoyable night at Pilsley. The place was packed which led to a good atmosphere. All DJ.S played good spots and kept the dance floor flowing. Personally I would like more modern thrown in to make a perfect night.

It was the first night at Kiveton Park following the move from Ponds Forge. There was a birthday party a few miles away and Blackpool weekender so the numbers were down. It was still enjoyable as the music was good with many records which are not played too often and some that I hadn't heard before. I didn't have dance but looking forward to the next night Decemer 7th.

Yet another great night at Barrow Hill with a good turn out. The music was good and the dance floor busy. Thanks to Neil for standing in for Keith and also to Guest DJ Kev Smedley, both did an execellent spot. Looking forward to the next one December 1st with Guest DJ Tony Wiggan from Sheffield.

I have made some changes in the record section. Thought I would add a couple of instumental's for a change. Hope you enjoy them.
