Sat, 13 Mar 2010 09:05:00 +0100  A CSS framework, also known as web design framework is an already prepared library of styles that is meant to allow for easier, more standards-compliant styling of a web page. Just like programming and scripting language libraries, CSS frameworks package a number of ready-made options for designing and outlaying a web page. This definition of CSS framework is found on Wikipedia but I think CSS framework is simply an easier way to get things done in web design. In this article I am not going to list all or well known CSS frameworks instead I will only list the CSS frameworks that I actually used.  A favorite grid system of mine and my current all time use framework. I have used it many times in creating web templates or designs, the features that attracted me the most to use the 960 Grid system is the simplicity of the grid and the ease of use you can download it and start building your website template in no time. They recently added a 24-column grid and they also provide many tools on their website like: Custom CSS Generator, HTML Layout Generator and a Grid Overlay Bookmark to help you create websites using the framework. Two projects emerged from the 960 Grid System: Fluid 960 Grid System and Typogridphy (an elastic version of 960 Grid System). It gives you a solid foundation to build your project on top of, with an easy-to-use grid, sensible typography, useful plugins, and even a stylesheet for printing." Use Green color in design when you want to reflect: hope, growth, soothing, regeneration, renewal, self-control and harmony. One of the most interesting categories in deviantART is Photoshop .PSD Files where you can download free .PSD Files from the collection and use them either for learning, inspiration or using them in a project of your own. PSD Website templates is the first step in designing a website after that comes converting the designed template from PSD to HTML/CSS working template to be used afterwords in creating and developing the complete website. The benefit of having a free PSD Website template is that you have a base template that you like and then make some changes to match your needs and thoughts either in color or in layout. As you probably have noticed the name comes from the icons being contained inside a sphere. The icons contains 4 different size: 32*32px, 48*48px, 64*64px and 128*128px and it is in a PNG file format. I have been lately busy in some projects and I had no time left for posting, another good reason is that I am working on a new design for my online portfolio. In the mean time I will pause posting until I finish projects in progress and my online portfolio.Any way lets get back to the main issue. I have recently been looking for wonderful free scripts to get inspiration from and I stumbled upon this one, which is called BarackSlideshow by Devthought. I know that the name might seem a little political but this is because the script makers got the inspiration from Barack Obama’s website. Any way you can view it and I hope it can be helpful.

I my self have read .psd magazine and my first impression was excitement, because I found a number of high quality and professional topics which include: 2D design, 3D design and modeling, illustrations, photo retouching and many more. I really recommend considering a subscription to .psd magazine to experience the feelings I had. Next you will find the covers of the upcoming issues February and March, 2008 of .psd magazine.
