The complete feed for Dueling Analogs. Includes all the comics and all the rants! Thu, 09 Oct 2008 17:11:00 +0200
I figure Grease Monkey is some sort of repair reploid. Crappy Crappie is some sort of underwater reploid... maybe he talks to fish liks Aquaman. But I have no idea what the hell LOL Cat does, besides wanting to eat "cheezburgers."
Rejected Mega Man Villains were so easy to draw/create. I could create three of them in three to four hours. It took me three to four hours to create Grease Monkey alone. Mavericks are a lot more detailed than the original robot masters or rejected villains for that matter. I included a larger version of Grease Monkey on my deviatnART site. Really proud of how it turned out. That said, someone please tell me how to get in contact with Capcom or get in contact with Capcom for me. I want to create a new robot master/maverick/reploid/anything for one of the countless Mega Man games that will be coming out in one form or another. Shit, I think Grease Monkey could be an actual boss in a future Mega Man X title. Tue, 07 Oct 2008 07:00:00 +0200
"I thought you were fucking the weighted companion cube."
"Oh? Then it is what you think." Special thanks for this strip goes to Darren J. Gerdron a.k.a. Dern. He caught with me while I was attending SPX on Saturday and offered this gem of an idea as a Dueling Analogs strip. Obviously, I gladly excepted. Thanks again, Dern. Keepin' it short and sweet today. Trying to get the next comic together so I can post a relevant question with the comic. Originally, it was the comic that was supposed to run today. But, I was having major problems with the way the art turning out. With that said, here's hoping for Thursday. Fri, 03 Oct 2008 09:01:00 +0200
That's not the problem. Mario is into that kind of stuff.
So, you can make up your own mind. Was I going for the typical mushroom/hallucinogenic/Super Mario Bros. joke? Or was it just that Mario thought he was eating an extra life mushroom? Honestly, it was the latter. Didn't even think about the 'shroom reference until I was doing the artwork for the strip. Seriously. So, the Gato Hero pre-order went awesomely. Hands down the largest pre-order to date. That said, we still do have some extra shirts that were ordered during the run. And the Voting Obama shirt will be in pre-order until Monday. Also, I am working with the printer to get those shirts back as quickly as possible so that those who ordered them can enjoy them before the election. That's about it. See you guys Monday. RERRWIPP is the sound you make when you travel back in time. If you didn't know that then I guess you've never travelled back in time before... LOSER!
I'd like to be telling you that I was playing Braid right now. But as I mentioned in the previous comic, that was the game I was playing when my 360 got the dreaded Red Ring of Death! No worries. When I finally get "my" Xbox 360 back in a couple of weeks I'll be able to play it again. Well, that's the plan anyway. As of typing this post, my Xbox 360 is in transit to be delivered at the repair center. Cross your fingers! Just a reminder, today is the last day to pre-order the Gato Hero shirt. After that I will be sending the final totals and all other orders will be at regular price. Also, the Voting Obama shirt will be in pre-order until October 6th and you save fundage by pre-ordering that as well. So head on over to BigBoomBomb.com and pre-order yours today. So if you keep up with my twitter or status on Facebook then you probably already know that my 360 got the dreaded Red Ring of Death. But, and I mean but, I am probably one of the few people in the world who is happy that it happened. Why? Well, I was playing Braid when my system first started acting up. Then, it became erratic and unreliable. Unfortunately, since the system was out of warranty I would have to pay for any repairs to fix these problems. But then I tried loading it one last time and got the Red Ring of Death. And since Microsoft extended to warranty to cover this exact situation I did not have to pay to get it fixed. So, I'm out of an Xbox for the next few weeks. And I'm not even sure if what I get back will even be my system or just another refurbished system with my serial number stuck on it. But when whatever comes back it will be fixed... hopefully.
Just a reminder, pre-orders for the Gato Hero shirt end on Monday. So if you want to save some money on your order I recommend doing so soon. And the Voting Obama shirt will be in pre-order until October 6th and you save fundage by pre-ordering that as well. So head on over to BigBoomBomb.com and do you some pre-ordering, partner. Wed, 24 Sep 2008 21:11:51 +0200 I had to post a link to the latest strip from My Stupid Life by Mitch Clem. It's simple, true and spot on.
Wed, 24 Sep 2008 00:06:09 +0200 I got a Sumo Omni PLUS recently. I want to tell you that it's very comfortable to watch TV in it. I want to tell you that it's very comfortable to read books in it. I want to tell you that it's very comfortable to play video games in it. But I can't. Why? Because it's so damn comfortable I can't stay awake in it. Seriously, every time I lay in this thing I fall asleep. I turn from mind-mannered citizen into a Narcoleptic Man. So, even though I my experience can't allow me to say the other nice things about the product I can tell you without a doubt that this is my favorite sleeping chair. It's just that damn comfy.
Tue, 16 Sep 2008 19:21:15 +0200 Gato Hero shirts are now available to pre-order over at BigBoomBomb.com. By pre-ordering one you can save $2 off the regular price. But the pre-ordering phase will only last until September 29th. So, make sure to order yours soon.
Fri, 12 Sep 2008 03:05:01 +0200 The Guest Strip Project is a bunch of webcomic artists creating guest strips in order to raise money for the Make-A-Wish International Foundation. I did a guest strip for the Guest Strip Project and it ran last Tuesday. I forget to mention it when it originally ran, but I remembered to mention it now. Check it out!
Wed, 27 Aug 2008 02:33:26 +0200 I saw this article and wanted to mention it for a couple of reasons. Mainly because it's a cool article, but it also mentions one of my area's local gaming conventions Magfest on the list and that's pretty sweet. I had the chance to check out Magfest for the first time last year and had a blast. I'd go in a heartbeat this year, but my wife is expecting right around Christmas and I wouldn't think of being anywhere else when my new baby girl arrives. Enough sappy sentiment. Check out the article and definitely check out Magfest as well. Neither will disappoint.
