The Canadian Citizenship Test is a "knows about Canada" test required by
the Canadian citizenship applicants that are between the ages 18 and 54.
The test is run by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and is required as
part of the Canadian citizenship application process. The test is available in
both official languages including French and English.
On June 20, 2008 Canada celebrated

announced changes to work permits for international students who graduate from
eligible programs at certain Canadian post-secondary institutions, making it
easier to attract foreign students to Canada. Effective

immigrants to smaller communities in Canada. The Tool Box was funded through a
contribution agreement from Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The objective of
this Tool Box is to help smaller communities across the Canada to benefit from
immigration and develop their own immigration strategies.
Canadians who adopt children abroad will find it easier to have their newest
family members become Canadian citizens. The new law allows children adopted
abroad by Canadian citizens to obtain Canadian citizenship without first having
to become permanent residents. After Dec. 23, 2007, citizenship can be granted
to them after the adoption is complete, after submitting an application for
citizenship.
