Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are back together! The former flames will record a duet for her new album, OK! can exclusively reveal. The song, written by Justin, will be laid down under the auspices of his super-producer pal Timbaland and will be the first single released. “Justin has been a huge supporter of Britney at the label,” a source at Jive Records tells OK!.

Confirmation of the new album and news of Justin’s involvement come at a critical time in Britney’s life. As OK! was first to report, on July 17, Britney gave up her fight to regain custody of her sons from ex-husband Kevin Federline. He has had sole legal and physical custory of Sean Preston, who turns 3 on Sept. 14, and Jayden James, 22 months, since last October, and that status will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Britney Spears' ongoing custody drama with ex-husband Kevin Federline is coming to an end: papers confirming their settlement are being filed.

"There is a final settlement in the Britney Spears-Kevin Federline custody case," Los Angeles County Superior Court spokesperson Allan Parachini tells Usmagazine.com.

"Documents will be delivered to the court today but they are not sure what time or if any of the documents will be made public today," Parachini explained.

Last week Spears, 26, agreed to give Federline, 30, sole custody of their boys Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2.

Federline is "absolutely delighted," his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has said.

Spears currently has monitored, twice-a-week visitation and one overnight visitation per week. Under the settlement, Spears will get more time with her kids, her attorney, Laura Wasser said last week.

Britney Spears is reportedly slated for a role in a new movie based on the true story of two students who were killed after being carjacked in 2007.

It's claimed that the troubled singer may make her big screen comeback in The Knoxville Carjacking Party - despite some reservations over whether she is up to the harrowing sex scenes involved.

Gossip columnist Clarence Star quotes a movie insider who says, “‘The Knoxville Carjacking Party’ has a lot of sadomasochistic sex scenes in it.

"While it’s thought Britney can handle any average sex scenes, these scenes have a lot of intensity in them.

“She would have to raise her performance level to endure some of these scenes."

While we're excited to hear what she's got in store next, she may still be getting recognition for last year's Blackout. Britney was spotted at one of her favourite gyms in Marina del Ray last night. She was seen working up a sweat on the treadmill and having a conversation with her personal trainer, laughing in between all the hard work!

Later, Britney headed over to the recording studio in Burbank for another recording session. Larry Rudolph wasn’t joking when he said she would be spending the summer in the studio! Her mother also accompanied her.

Why don't their experts attack drivers for their addiction to gas?

The New York Post hit a new low on Tuesday when they deemed Britney Spears having a cigarette in the company of her son worthy of front page news. Wars rage on in Iraq and Afghanistan while Americans face losing their jobs and houses at home but The Post thinks Britney's cigarette trumps it all.

Even more offensive are the misleading coverage and venom directed at Britney and, by extension, all smokers. The caption accompanying a photo of Britney smoking a cigarette in her Beverly Hills home reads, "Britney Kid's Smoke Bomb: Smoking'-hot mama Britney Spears passes on bad habits as Sean Preston, 2, lighter in one hand, grabs her cigs with the other." What you don't see on the cover is that the next set of photos are of Britney grabbing the cigarettes and lighter away from her son.

Lynne Spears is still haunted by a tragic 1975 car crash that claimed the life of a 12 year-old boy. The “Pop Culture Mom” was 20 when she ran over a child sprinting down a Kentwood, Louisiana on his bike. He was killed instantly.

“To this day, Lynne hasn’t gotten over what she did. She gets that terrified look in her eye when she is thinking about it,” a Spear family spy revealed in this week’s edition of the National Enquirer.

Lynn was rushing her brother to the hospital after he’d suffered an injury when she struck the boy.

“It bothers Lynne still to this day,” a former employee of the Spears adds. “She really doesn’t like to talk about it. She just wanted to forget that it ever happened - but she can’t.”

“She has told only a few people about the accident and always says, ‘Please don’t think I’m a bad person.’”
