While in SFSU film school I proposed to the department a custom major that emphasized using new technology to produce sound for film. In those days, flatbeds were the mainstay for editing film. Electronic audio synchronizers were being introduced, and digital editing with computers was science fiction.

While operating Feature Video, Hewlett Packard's computer division contacted me for an interview. It turns out they didn't want my production services, but were looking for a TV producer and engineer to operate a new facility in Cupertino California. I took the job entered into systems and software design.

Asymetrix was founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The company's flagship product was Toolbook, a Hypercard-like authoring tool for creating Windows multimedia applications. I joined the company after moving to Seattle.

My 10 years at Microsoft have been the most rewarding of my career. While there I drove development programs, managed other Program Managers, and conceived and formed shipping product teams.

YouMob is a social website I created with friend Rob Bearman of Hyperfine Software. Our goal was to let anyone gather a mob of people at any website, with or without the owner's permission.

I'm working on a software product of my own that is nothing short of amazing. Easy to say, I know. Rarely comes the head-whacking "ah-hah" of an idea. More unusual is when skeptical others agree. After seeing this product work, they do.

I've worked on a range of innovative products and technologies. In many cases I was able to earn patents for these inventions. Following are my patents, awarded and pending.

I produce music in solo projects and with friends and acquaintances. My home studio is computer-based and medium quality. I'm versed in Apple Logic, and play various real and software instruments.

I like to shoot, 'shop and sketch. As with music I hope to do more.
