Although whoever met them at the time of their University studies almost describes them as the “perfect couple”, Kane and Claire D’Ebano were virtual strangers insofar as their professional goals were concerned. While Kane looked at Jung and Freud as his inspiration, Claire was instead fascinated by lateral, sometimes extreme methodologies. Yet the diverging path taken by their studies did not prevent them from getting married and even starting their professional practice together. The question is: how much did Kane know of what his wife was doing and about the danger she was exposing herself to?

A long interview with Dr. Kane D’Ebano, months before his wife’s murder. What are dreams? Are they hallucinations induced by neurological operation inside our mind with the goal of processing certain emotional states? Or are they a completely parallel layer of existence whose only difference from the waking state is that their source of audio-visual information resides inside us? Only one thing is certain: some dreams are so vivid, articulate and violent that we often find it hard to believe that such powerful, often disorienting visions could come from a mind we believed to be our own.
