Adrian Peterson rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay on the opening night of Monday Night Football. Even with a big night on the ground the star running back’s efforts were not enough, as the Packers defeated the Vikings 24-19.

Adrian Peterson will be appearing and signing autographs at Gameday Connexion in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 15th. Fans can also meet Adrian in Chicago on March 30th at the Chicago Sun-Times Show.

Adrian Peterson rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns as he led the NFC to a 42-30 victory over the AFC.

Peterson had a long rush of 39 yards on the day, and wreaked havoc on the AFC defense throughout the game.  The Minnesota Vikings star rookie running back has capped off a tremendous rookie season with the Pro Bowl MVP honor. Peterson set the NFL all time single-game rushing mark and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year this past season.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in a landslide.

Peterson, as always, showed his respect for the game in talking about the award and what it means to him:

“It’s a great honor to join a list with names like those,” Peterson said Wednesday when told that Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith, Eric Dickerson and Billy Sims also won the award. “They are guys that I looked up to growing up. It’s a goal that I set before the year started, to win rookie of the year, so it feels great to accomplish that.”

Peterson received 46 1/2 of the 50 first place votes in the voting this year.

Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for being selected to the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl. Peterson had this to say of the honor:

“This is a great honor as a rookie and I’m proud to be selected. More important than that is that some of the guys who made it possible for me to go are also going, like Hutch, Birk and Tony. This was one of my goals coming into the season and it feels good to accomplish that. I’m blessed by the individual honor, but I know we have some team goals we are still striving for.”

Adrian Peterson leads the NFC in rushing with 1,278 yards and ranks second in the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 12.

Behind the strong running of Adrian Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears 20-13 last night on Monday Night Football. Peterson scored both of his touchdowns in the second half, the first coming on a 1-yard dive and the second on an 8-yard scamper.

The second touchdown run came on a third and goal in which Adrian Peterson and Vikings Quarterback Brooks Bollinger miscommunicated. After Peterson and Bollinger brushed against each other on a poor handoff, Peterson stutter-stepped and froze Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher before scampering into the endzone off the left side.

With the win, the Vikings improve to 8-6 and stay in control of the NFC’s last Wild-Card Spot.
