Related Headlines Sun, 12 Oct 2008 05:15:53 +0200 There is one movie that was the talk of the Toronto Film Festival, The Hurt Locker. An Iraq war movie about an elite Army bomb squad, the film was being called the best war movie to come out in some time. The poster of the film looks great and it extremely simple in its style but really effective. Other than being the most praised movie of Toronto Film Festival it really doesn’t have any buzz going for it. “”The Hurt Locker is like having your heart operated on by a construction worker wielding a power pneumatic nail-driver. And the high-voltage stuff, which happens often, is, no joke, on the level of the armed creature-hunting and creature-evading sequences in Aliens.” That’s what Jeffrey Wells had to say about The Hurt Locker after his screening up in Toronto. Synopsis Iraq. Forced to play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in the chaos of war,... Sat, 11 Oct 2008 14:39:53 +0200
The Orphanage was a movie that mixed together a good blend of humor and human condition to make an interesting story. Bayona the director of the film will reteam with his producer Del Toro to direct Hater. The book describes a society rocked by citizens who are suddenly susceptible to random bouts of violent, homicidal rage. Essentially, it sounds like Happening but I m pretty sure with able hands that movie would have even done well. The film will be more of a mood creator rather than a twist ending in the case of the horrendous Manoj Night Shymalan. The book is based on the Glen Mazzara scripted adaptation of British author David Moody’s thriller novel. The film is set in the US, and while exteriors will be shot locally when the film gets... After seeing Valkyrie trailer, I thought that would be one of the best movies of this year, but here comes James Bond like you have never seen him before. Variety has debuted the second full trailer for Edward Zwick’s Defiance, which stars Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, and Jamie Bell who are three brothers. This is the second really intense war movie this year, and with some good cast and solid performances, I wonder why paramount just gave it a limited release. It has some really stunning visuals and promises to be one of the best movies of this year atleast from what can be seen from the trailer. (more...) Fri, 10 Oct 2008 19:27:25 +0200 ![]() This might just be the best movie in the Trilogy so far. I thought Transporter 1 was good but 2 was just average, but this one might just take the number 1 spot out of the three. Its fully action packed, some stunning scenes, hot girls and a good villain. Could you ask for more? Robert Knepper (T-bag from Prison Break) plays the bad guy and i feel this is the kind of role he relishes in. Jason Statham of course is back with a bang and I hope it does really well. Related Headlines

It is known simply as The Scene. To those who fêted it at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and those who have seen it since, it is the breath-taking centrepiece of a film called Hunger that is both politically controversial and philosophically sublime. It is 23 minutes of whiz-bang dialogue and crackling ideological debate between the movie’s central protagonist, the IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands (Michael Fassbender), and a moderate Belfast priest, Father Moran (Liam Cunningham). The scene includes a 17-and-a-half-minute single shot of the two men – according to Guinness the previous record holder for a single shot on film (rather than video) is an eight-minute scene in The Playermeaning that Hunger could be the holder of a new world record.
