always a bit of a let down. All winter we are spoiled by incredible
waves with tons of power; and then one day, it just stops. The once

(Saturday, July 19, 2008) -- World
paddleboard champion Jamie Mitchell, from Queensland, Australia, remains
undefeated after posting his fourth conclusive win of the season today in the
$15,000 Hennessey's International Paddleboard Championship, on Oahu's North
Shore. The 7-mile course from Turtle Bay to Waimea Bay offered no records due to
inconsistent tradewinds, however the flatwater pace set by Mitchell was
blistering, finishing in a time of one hour, three minutes and 57 seconds.
Honolulu's Kanesa Duncan took honors in the women's division (1:16:49), and Brian Rocheleau (Honolulu, 1:08:08) Sat, 19 Jul 2008 18:38:09 +0200 On July 12, 2008 the 1st Spain Stand Up Paddle Championship took place near Alicante, Spain and here are the results:

Sun, 13 Jul 2008 23:43:10 +0200 It was nothing but smiles and good times at the 2008 Hennessey's Paddleboard and Stand Up Paddle event at Redondo Beach, CA over the weekend. The conditions were amazing and we couldn't have asked for better weather, overcast and cool in the morning and thoughout the race, then bright and sunny for the after-race party. The seals were there to greet everone at the 4 mile buoy and the dophins were waithing at the finish of the 11 mile race to greet the paddlers as they came in. It was an 11 mile race as part of the Hennessey's U.S. Paddleboading Championships series. While I have so much to say about the day and tons of photos to come, in this short post I just want to give a great big mahalo to Chris Koerner, Jericho Popplar, and Buzz Hegerle for making it possible for me to jump
