The critically acclaimed comedy troupe Kids in the Hall are launching their first major tour in six years - Live as We'll Ever Be - and will be appearing live at the Seneca Niagara Events Center for one night only on May2, 2008. The month of June, 2008 sees some big additions to the Fallsview Casino line-up in the Avalon Ballroom. First up is singer Tony Orlando who brings a cache of US #1 hits including Knock Three Times and Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak Tree. He will be appearing on June 6th & 7th. The following weekend, June 13th & 14th, comedian Sinbad brings his stand-up routine to the Avalon Ballroom. Take note of the special Saturday afternoon performance on the 14th making it a total of three shows in two days. That was no typo in the opening paragraph. A Starr is coming and his name is Ringo! That`s right. Ringo Starr, former drummer of a little outfit known as the Beatles will be in Niagara Falls for the opening two shows of his tour on June 19th & 20th mixing his solo material with a sprinkling of past classics. This show is a can`t miss for any Beatles fan. Also, be sure to check out his new album, Liverpool 8. Rounding out this block of performers is a one off performance from Pat Benatar on Thursday, June 26th. No doubt she`ll try to ``Hit You with Her Best Shot``. Grand Funk Railroad follows on June 27th & 28th and they will be bringing their classics like Feelin Alright and American Band to get the place rocking! May and June is when the weather starts to heat up outside and it`s definitely when things seem to be heating up inside. If you`re planning on a Niagara Falls visit during this time remember to consider entertainment when choosing a date. Also it should be noted that, more ofter than not, the `big name` entertainment usually shows up on the weekends (Friday & Saturday). So do the crowds. Don`t leave your booking to the last minute.
