Application Engineer


Requirements - all must be met to be considered

  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3-5 years engineering experience.
  • Expert-level skill using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 or higher for product design and development.
  • Experience in Pro/SHEETMETAL.
  • Strong and creative design skills.
  • MUST be ambitious, goal oriented, and possess excellent planning and organization skills.
  • MUST have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Sales, Engineering, and Software Development teams.
  • Research existing systems and report their functionality, capability, bill of materials, and specifications to Sales and Engineering teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in the design and development of new products to meet new application requirements, or redesign of existing systems using the technology.
  • Provide a technical interface to engineering and sales, both internally and to the customer.
  • Deliver technical and sales presentations to sales, customers, and internally.
  • Field technical questions from sales, customers and internal organization.
  • Initiate continuous improvements to processes, workflows, and methods to achieve higher productivity and efficiency.
  • Take ownership of projects from inception to manufacture.
  • Assist in developing customer opportunities by applying the technology in new and innovative ways.

Qualifications

  • 3 years Application Engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience in data management and/or enterprise PDM applications (specifically Pro/INTRALINK and PDMLink is preferred).
  • Preferred experience in software and/or scripting languages such as .NET, JAVA, JavaScript, VBScript, etc.
  • Familiar with enterprise software applications.

    General Position Summary:

    Director Engineering
    Reports to CEO / VP of Technology

    The Director of Engineering is the ombudsman for the engineering department. His primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day engineering operations and ensure smooth flow of projects across all of OCZ's lines.

    He must be generally knowledgeable about all of the current engineering projects as they relate to other departments, and is the primary day-to-day interface for engineering to the rest of the company.
