Looking for someone to help with household and "personal assistant" type duties in CLAYTON. From housekeeping/household cleaning and organizing for a busy family, to light shopping and errands needed in the smooth running of a household. Basically, I need an extra set of hands around ! I can easily hire a cleaning team, but I would usually clean and organize before they got here! What I want is someone to keep our house looking clean and organized all the time. Sometimes it gets crazy with kids and a hairy dog. I'm not perfect and know when to call in help - its time! There aren't enough hours in the day for me to do it all. I need that special assistant to help me do it all!

Main duties to start include:

1. General housecleaning; vacuuming, dusting, kitchen and baths cleaning
2. Organizing kids rooms and helping to keep them that way
3. Laundry, keep it going and caught up, put away
4. Shopping and misc errands
5. Light meal prep (unless you love cooking, could be more)
6. Other misc household duties as needed


If you have good organizational skills, are pro-active, reliable and energetic - this may be the job for you. Must like kids and pets!

2 to 3 mornings a week at this time. Flexible.

TITLE: Utility Worker

SHIFT: 8 Hours per day
12:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily

REPORTS TO: Contractor Account Manager/ Facilities Director

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position is directly responsible for, but not limited to, the cleanliness and the constant policing of all city owned downtown garages, including the Flores Stret garage, minor garage maintenance including lamp replacement, gate repair and debris removal, elevators, sidewalks, street trash receptacles, building stairwells, parking lane striping maintenance, sign maintenance and immediate graffiti removal

1. ROUTINE DAILY TASKS:


A. Reports for work in the proper uniform, no later than 12 noon daily and begins his assigned tasks as established by the Facilities Manager. In addition to being in the proper uniform, the utility worker will be clean and neat in appearance and will wear a picture identification badge at all times while engaged in his duties.

B. Checks in with the Contractor Supervisor to receive any
special instructions or immediate work requests pertaining to unusual or extraordinary conditions or situations in the downtown areas to which he is assigned.

C. Signs in and out on the Daily Activity Log which must maintain and turn in to the Facilties Director each Monday morning. The daily activity log must contain an hour by hour assignment of duties to include the entire eight hour shift plus requisite break times and lunch.


D. The Utility Worker must perform the following duties daily and must also be responsive to any unprogrammed duties which may arise from time to time that are not of a daily, repetitive nature:

1. Check all city elevators and insure that the elevator cabs are clean and free of graffiti and that the floors are clean and mopped, if necessary.

2. Inspect all buildings and insure cleanliness of entryways, doors, trash receptacles and any window glass at floor level.

3. Empty all downtown sidewalk trash receptacles at 4:00 PM daily and at such other times as may be required to insure that trash receptacles are usable throughout the entire shift period. Dispose of all trash collected and replace trash receptacle liners as required.

4. Check all parking garages, including the Flores Street parking garage and remove any debris or trash left on garage floors. Remove any graffiti immediately either by solvent removal or overpainting. Do not allow any graffiti to remain in place overnight.

5. Check for burned out lamps in allparking garages and elevator cabs. Replace lamps as required. If any damage is noted inside garages that can not be repaired, report damage, in writing, on the daily activity log.

6. Check signage throughout the entire downtown area and report any damaged or missing signs on the daily activity log.

7. Perform limited maintenance duties to include, but not limited to, parking lot striping, sign repair, re-lamping and graffiti removal.

8. Insure that cleaning standards shown below are used whenever performing these specific tasks in all assigned areas.

The Assistant Maintenance Technician reports to both the Maintenance Manger and Property Manager.

Our site is a 3 building combination residential and business property.

Schedule has some flexibility but does include some weekend hours.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides maintenance and janitorial services to San Francisco sites.

Maintenance Responsibilities: Checks and replenishes supplies. Ensures that facility functions are operating properly (e.g., light bulbs/fixtures). Repairs damaged areas of facility. Assesses repairs and maintenance needs for outside contracting as needed. Assists professional contractors.

We are a small, 30 year old equipment service company located in San Jose, and we are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the shop and our inventory. If you like taking on a variety of responsibilities, enjoy the challenge of solving problems on your own, and have never lost a sock in the wash, we are looking for you.

Although the primary duties of this position are shipping and receiving, there is a lot more to it. This position is key to our field technicians' ability to service our customers. This person will be responsible for doing regular inventories on our service trucks and warehouse stock, pulling parts needed for jobs, re-stocking the trucks, delivering parts and equipment, washing the vehicles and performing minor maintenance, getting the vehicles serviced when needed, general shop organization, and whatever else is needed at the time. If you want a position that is the same every day, this is not for you.

The right person will know how to find a part number on a shelf (or in a drawer, or under a pile of rocks), be flexible in approach but religious about following procedures, and know the difference between a nut and a bolt. If you can also tell the difference between brass and steel you get bonus points. If you can rebuild a transmission then you are overqualified.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Custodian to work at the College of Engineering Dean’s Office, Richmond Field Station. The Richmond Field Station is located along San Francisco Bay, eight miles from the main Berkeley campus.

Under the auspices of the College of Engineering Dean’s Office, Richmond Field Station (RFS) Operations and Facilities Management is responsible for maintenance of the physical plant at the Richmond site consisting of over 80 buildings and structures and involving approximately 500,000 assignable square feet. The staff of 20+ includes the RFS Manager, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Management Services Officer, Skilled Craftspeople, Administrative Assistant III, Laborers, Custodians, and student workers. The operating budget is $2.85 million per year.

Under the direction of the Custodian Supervisor, the Custodian is responsible for the interior upkeep of buildings, both inside and limited areas outside. The custodian shall work in a manner that is both safe to self and building occupants.

Responsibilities:
• Floors - On a daily basis, maintain all floors in a clean and safe condition by sweeping and mopping; waxing as needed; sweep all building entrances out to the last step or at least ten feet out from the roof line; and vacuum carpets daily or as needed
• Facilities - On a daily basis, clean plumbing fixtures and polish chrome in all restrooms and lunch rooms, including washbasins, mirrors, toilets and urinals; replenish all custodial supplies when needed; wash walls twice a year and spot clean when needed
• Furniture - On a daily basis, dust all furniture, polish desk and table top when needed, clean all chalk boards and trays, and clean and polish drinking fountains and kitchen basins
• Trash - On a daily basis, empty all safe trash from interior receptacles and ash trays at entrances (i.e. 25 ft zone); report to supervisor any unsafe trash or chemicals found on premises while cleaning.
• Windows - Twice a year, wash all windows, inside and outside that can be reached with assigned equipment
• Re-lamping - When needed, replace conventional fluorescent and incandescent lamps that are accessible in overhead light fixtures from an eight foot ladder
• Special Services - Assist Custodial Supervisor with special functions (e.g. setting up furniture, special equipment, and restoring conference room conditions back to normal after each usage; respond to infrequent and custodial requests by customers; report frequent or maintenance requests to the custodial supervisor; report all lost and found articles to the Operations front desk; maintain in good condition and properly store away custodial equipments
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum one year custodial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrate customer service skills and team focused behaviors
• Maintain good working relationships with customers, co-workers and staff
