Title: Wood Furniture Care: Looking After Your Deck

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Decking can be a great way to improve the exterior of the house
but it is important to look after it in order to keep it looking
good for many years.

Many people each and every day are spending lots of money
renovating their homes and garden areas in order to make them
look better than they did before. By making vast improvements it
not only adds value to the house, but it also contributes to the
atmosphere and the living space too.

One thing that can be great for the home is building a deck
area to help to improve every aspect of the home. It adds beauty
to the exterior of the home, as well as offering an area that
everyone can enjoy.

How to Build a Deck

It can be an exciting time building the deck but it is also
important to know what you are doing as well as having any
permission if needed to build it.

There are so many great designs out there and if you are ever
stuck for inspiration then you can easily look in home
improvement magazines or even in the home improvement television
programmes. Planning is imperative to ensure that you get a deck
that is perfect for you, but without measurements and other
careful planning you may end up with undesired results. There
are quite a few different uses for the deck whether it is to add
something extra to the exterior if it is going to be used for a
living area or somewhere to have friends over. Choosing the
right style for your situation is very important because it can
be frustrating when you install it and it is not what you were
expecting.

If you are not confident at building your own deck, you should
either find someone who can help or hire a contractor to do it
for you. It is always best to get someone who knows what they
are doing; otherwise it could become dangerous if not done
correctly. Just let the contractors know about your plans and
watch them do it correctly and that will give you a peace of
mind that you will be getting the exact deck that you want.

Decking and Wood Furniture Care

Looking after the wood for the decking is extremely important
and the thing is that a lot of people may not think that it
needs any care. Most of the time it will be ok but there are
certain things that you can do to make it look good all year
round. Water can damage some types of wood for example and so
protecting it with either a covering or by using other methods
is something that may need consideration.

You can clean dirt off the decking quite easily with acid-free,
biodegradable deck cleaner. Also you can use a powerful finish
to coat the wood to protect it against mildew and water damage.
This can make the wood look horrible and make it expand from the
water as well.

Title: Vanuatu Casinos

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Vanuatu is a collection of more than 83 islands located in the
Pacific Ocean. A beautiful country of blue lagoons, breathtaking
waterfalls, perfect beaches, and dramatic rainforests, all
enjoyed by a total population of just 222,000. This doesn't
sound like it offers much to the gambling man, but in fact you'd
be surprised. Since the 1980's, casinos have been legalized, and
now there are two Vanuatu casinos, both located in the
cosmopolitan capital, Port Vila, a city that has been described
as the "most beautiful capital in the Pacific."

The first of the Vanuatu casinos and the country's premier
gambling destination is the Palms Casino, located in the
Tassiriki Park area of Port Vila and based in the Le Meridien
Hotel. This casino is truly international, with its table game
rules based on Australian casinos. Most international currencies
are accepted, and bets are accepted from a little as 100 Vatu
(less than one US dollar) to as much as 500,000 Vatu (around
$5,000). The casino has sixty-three slot machines and nine
gaming tables, five tables offering blackjack, two tables for
mini-baccarat (the main difference with baccarat/American
baccarat being that with the former, the dealer is always the
banker, rather than the dealership alternating among the
players), and two tables where you can try your luck on the
roulette wheel. The Le Meridien Hotel is the country's most
luxurious, and enjoys many traveller-friendly features, such as
its location on its own private island, the Namele Day Spa,
three restaurants (including a bar inside the casino), two
outdoor swimming pools, luxurious gardens, and a golf course.

The second of the Vanuatu casinos is Club 21 Limited, located
in the Melanesian Hotel, in the Shefa region of the city. It has
sixty-six slot machines and offers gamers a choice of baccarat
or blackjack. The Melanesian Hotel is a grand luxury hotel with
85 rooms, two restaurants (Gino's and Oasis Bar and Grill), and
sports facilities including an outdoor swimming pool and tennis
court.

In summary then, this idyllic Pacific paradise and its
beautiful capital city offer a good choice of gambling
opportunities for when the sun sets on the sandy beaches and
blue lagoons.

Title: Magazines Make Interior Design Easy
Author: Mr.Andrew Caxton

Format: 64cpl

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When people decide to decorate or re-decorate their homes, they
turn to interior designers, or get books out of libraries. But
the interior design magazines contain a wonderful pool of
knowledge about the best ways to design your home's interior.

If you're thinking of changing the look of your home's interior
design - or even if you're just dissatisfied with a single room
in the house, you're probably casting about it in all directions
for new ideas.

And ideas are all around you - from the gloss and unreality as
displayed in today's television shows, to examples you see when
you visit the homes of your friends or acquaintances.

There are books on interior design published every day... but
books are limited to a set number of pages and can't possibly
cover every aspect of design.... which is where the niche
magazines covering home decorating come in. There are dozens of
them, most of them focusing on a certain kind of design, while
others do focus on the general aspects.

So regardless of what kind of design you're looking for, an
interior design magazine will probably have covered that in a
past, present, or future issue.

You will find interior design magazines practically everywhere
you look - from the magazine racks in book stores to home
improvement stores such as Home Depot, Menard's or Lowe’s.
Wal-Mart and Target carry vast selections. Indeed, home
decorating magazines are so popular that even your local gas
station will probably have at least one on its magazine rack.

Books on interior design and decorating can become dated - but
magazines will always have the cutting edge information the
homeowner will want to know to create the best designs possible.

These magazines - House Beautiful, O At Home, Home Companion,
Veranda and Country Living to name a few - will also have the
latest information on the newest gadgets, tips for cleaning and
organizing the home, as well as ideas for entertaining.

How many styles are there for the interior designer to choose
from? There are so many that it's not possible for one book to
cover them all, which is why interior design magazines are the
way to go.

Design styles vary from bringing back the classics of
yesteryear: the Federal style or the Edwardian style, the
Adirondack style, the Art Deco style (my own personal favorite),
Baroque, Bungalow, Japanese... to the modern age of PLUG
(planned ugliness) to Miami modern! There are too many to list
them all, which is why searching the web and reading a variety
of magazines is the way to go.

Of course once you've gotten your idea out of a magazine you
still have to bring it to fruition. At this point of course
you'll have to start as you would with any other home design-
assess who will be living in the home - if you have a lot of
kids running around you probably will not want to have a lot of
bric-a-brac around that could easily be broken. Although, the
magazines will probably give you tips on how to ensure that that
doesn't happen, regardless of how many kids you have.

Interior decorating and interior design magazines are a great
tool for the home owner, so make sure you consult them whenever
you're planning a change or an improvement.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
From the subjective standpoint we may see that certain acts
have a tendency to exalt and ennoble us, while certain other
acts have a tendency to degrade and to brutalise us. But it is
not possible to make out with certainty which acts have which
kind of tendency in relation to all persons, of all sorts and
conditions. There is, however, only one idea of duty which has
been universally accepted by all mankind, of all ages and sects
and countries, and that has been summed up in a Sanskrit
aphorism thus: "Do not injure any being; not injuring any being
is virtue, injuring any being is sin."

The Bhagavad-Gita frequently alludes to duties dependent upon
birth and position in life. Birth and position in life and in
society largely determine the mental and moral attitude of
individuals towards the various activities of life. It is
therefore our duty to do that work which will exalt and ennoble
us in accordance with the ideals and activities of the society
in which we are born. But it must be particularly remembered
that the same ideals and activities do not prevail in all
societies and countries; our ignorance of this is the main cause
of much of the hatred of one nation towards another.

An American thinks that whatever an American does in accordance
with the custom of his country is the best thing to do, and that
whoever does not follow his custom must be a very wicked man. A
Hindu thinks that his customs are the only right ones and are
the best in the world, and that whosoever does not obey them
must be the most wicked man living. This is quite a natural
mistake which all of us are apt to make. But it is very harmful;
it is the cause of half the uncharitableness found in the world.
When I came to this country and was going through the Chicago
Fair, a man from behind pulled at my turban. I looked back and
saw that he was a very gentlemanly - looking man, neatly
dressed. I spoke to him; and when he found that I knew English,
he became very much abashed.

Have you ever looked at your skin when it is exposed to dry
air? Likely you will notice that your skin is dry, scratchy,
cracked and itchy. Dry air can also affect the inside of your
home. Dry air can make the paints on your wall chip, your
furniture splinter and wall paper peel off. How to correct the
problem becomes a huge issue for most homeowners when they start
noticing cracking paint, splintering wood and other problems
from the dry air.

Rehydrating Your Home

Correcting the damaging effects of dry air is relatively
simple. It involves the use of an air purifier humidifier. An
air purifier humidifier will help replace missing moisture into
the air to make it much easier to breathe as well as help
rejuvenate your home. With a plethora of air purifier humidier
models available to help rehydrate your air, there is something
that is sure to fit into your budget.

The Two Most Common Air Purifier Humidifiers

First most common air purifier humidifier is the console. This
tends to be the largest machine and is designed typically for
floor use only. Air purifier humidifier consoles typically come
in a large decorative cabinet so that they blend into their
surroundings without looking tacky. These machines are capable
of humidifying several rooms at a time and require much fewer
machines to handle very large areas. They also include a filter
that must be changed on occasion to ensure that the air is clean
in your home and the purifier is capturing the harmful
particles.

The second common type of air purifier humidifier is the room
version. Air purifier humidifiers for room use are designed to
handle usually one room at a time, and are great if you only
have a small area of your home that suffers from dry air. Many
of these air purifier humidifier units can sit easily on a
table, counter or shelf; they hardly do not take much space.
They are much smaller, and due to the reduced size, they cannot
clean as much air. Within this category of air purifier
humidifiers there are two more categories: warm humidifiers and
cold humidifiers. Warm humidifiers do not use filters; they use
warm water to purify the air passing through instead. Cold
humidifiers use filters.

Remember, while some humidity is good, too much can be a very
bad thing. Ensure that your humidity levels never rise above
50% to have the best air quality possible.

Title: Why Use Escrow In Real Estate Investing?
Author: Joel Teo
Word Count: 582

Format: 64cpl
Author Contact: http://www.isnare.com/eta.php?aid=166779

================== ARTICLE START ==================
What is escrow? Escrow is when two or more people or parties
enter into a legal agreement that provides for the placement
with a third party for safekeeping certain properties,
instruments, or assets, and the release of these properties,
instruments, or assets is contingent on the performance or
fulfillment of certain conditions or acts. An escrow account is
an account that is specifically set up only to disburse funds
for a specific reason or use. In real estate investing and other
transactions of this type, escrow accounts are normally used to
hold funds that are intended for insurance premiums and real
estate taxes that have been paid in advance and can only be
released for these intended purposes.

In real estate, escrow collections are amounts that have been
collected from the borrower by the loan provider to be put into
escrow for specific expenses. These expenses are hazard
homeowners insurance, property taxes, mortgage insurance, and
any other amounts that are paid on a annual or semi-annual
basis. When money is released from an escrow account for the
intended use, this is called an escrow disbursement.

Using escrow for these types of expenses protects both the
borrower and the lender. The borrower gets peace of mind knowing
that the lender can only access the funds for the intended
purpose. This guarantees that the lender will not take the
monthly payments for these expenses and not apply them towards
the intended use. The lender can rest easy knowing that the
borrower can not remove the funds or spend the money on other
things. Both parties have an assurance that these bills are
being met. The lender may be especially interested in the
insurance payments, because if something happens to the house
and the insurance premiums have not been met, then the lender
stands to loose a lot. If the property taxes are not paid, the
property may be seized for back taxes, costing either the lender
or borrower more money. This is why it is important to use
escrow for monthly payments of this type.

Certain expenses are paid every year or twice a year. Most of
the time borrowers pay one sixth or one twelfth of these
expenses on a monthly basis, and these funds are put into escrow
until the expense comes due. Always beware of anyone who refuses
to put these payments into an escrow account.

Any legitimate real estate investor or lender will be more than
willing to put these amounts into escrow, and if they seem
uncomfortable with this that should be a red flag concerning at
least their business practices, if not their business ethics. An
escrow account should specify that it is an escrow account. The
funds in an escrow account always belong to the borrower until
the expense the account is set up for is paid.

It is important to use escrow so that both parties are
protected, and the funds are held for specific expenses. This
protects against fraud, as well as guaranteeing that certain
expenses like property taxes and insurance payments are made on
time to protect the lender's interest in the property. The home
buyer has the security of knowing that the money will go exactly
where it should, and can not be removed for any other reason.

Title: Wood Furniture Care For Flooring
Author: Adam Peters
Word Count: 487
URL: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=166041&ca=Home+Management
Format: 64cpl
Author Contact: http://www.isnare.com/eta.php?aid=166041

Easy Publish Tool: http://www.isnare.com/html.php?aid=166041

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Wood furniture care is important to keep furniture and wooden
flooring looking good for as long as possible. If you do not
look after it properly, permanent damage could occur.

A lot of people love to decorate their homes but a lot of
people also struggle on what to choose in order to help to
improve the home. It could be that you have spent a fortune
decorating your house and other time things such as wooden
flooring are starting to wear down or look extremely tatty. This
is when wooden furniture care should come in because by knowing
how to care for your wooden flooring and how to protect it, you
will be ensuring that it looks as good as possible for many
years to come.

If the flooring is done properly and cared for the right way,
there is no reason why it should need to be replaced for many
years. It is very simple to look after wooden flooring but a lot
of people are either naive or they genuinely do not think that
they need to look after it.

Why Is Wood Furniture Care Important?

The thing with some wooden flooring is that it can be easily
scratched or it can even become water damaged. These are just a
couple of the problems that can arise when it comes to wooden
flooring. By knowing how to look after the flooring you can stop
anything bad from happening to it. It can be extremely
frustrating having damaged wooden flooring, especially if you
have spent a lot of money doing it up.

Things can easily happen such as spillages and although they
may not seem too serious, if they are left or if it keeps
happening over time, this can lead to the flooring expanding and
looking out of place and damaged. Also dirt, grime and other
things that drop onto the floor can also be a big problem
because if it is dragged around it can cause scratching or even
dents in the floor. Another thing that can cause serious damage
to the wooden floor is any furniture that you may have. It needs
to be lifted correctly instead of simply dragging across the
floor otherwise it could seriously scratch and damage the wooden
floor.

Cleaning Wooden Flooring

When it comes to cleaning wooden flooring you should take note
on what cleaning products you are going to use to do this task.
The reason is that some cleaning products may be too harsh for
the type of flooring that you have and they could even cause a
discoloration of the flooring or some other damage.

As you can see there are quite a few different hazards that can
cause damage to the flooring and that is why wood furniture care
is important for wooden flooring around the home.

Title: Decorate Your Home With Bargains

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When most people redecorate their homes, they feel they need
all new furniture, and are willing to pay a great deal for it.
But it's not necessary to go into debt to achieve an elegant
look at half the price.

If you're considering redecorating your house – or even just a
room of your house – there are many ways to go about. You could
hire a professional decorator - but that costs money. You could
go to the big home stores and have their own professional
designers help you with advice and tips- but they usually like
you to purchase furniture or other material from you before
they'll help.

But it's not necessary to spend a lot of money to redecorate
your house. It all decides what you want your house to look
like. If you need a chic, classy-looking house because you do a
lot of business entertaining, you will need to invest money for
top of the line material. Of course, that pre-supposes that the
business people are in the six-figure income bracket and you
have to keep up with them.

But there's no reason to drive yourself into debt to redecorate
your house when you can obtain excellent furniture for not very
much money by hunting for bargains. Properly chosen, and
refinished or otherwise modified, this furniture can look just
as chic and classy-looking as anything that is brand-spanking
new, but with a more lived-in look which will make it a more
comfortable arena for you to do your business entertaining.

The thing about doing bargain-hunting is to have an overall
plan in mind, but be patient in its education. It will take you
a while to find the various pieces, as you'll be visiting garage
sales, furniture outlets and other types of places to find
furniture you like. You'll be very lucky to get matching pieces
in this way, but there's no reason why your furniture or wall
furnishings have to match.

In essence, this is called "Cottage decorating," -
http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com/styles-guide.html as
you'll have an eclectic match of items in your home.

In order to get bargains - you have to know how much money
you're saving! So, make sure you go to the top-of-the-line
furniture stores, and write down all the prices of the various
pieces, and all the features of those pieces. Then, you'll know
what to look for when you go out bargain hunting.

Bargain Hunting Basics
Check your local newspapers to find out when garage sales are
taking place. They typically take place on the weekends, but
some people do like to hold them on Thursdays! Find out what
time the sale is to start and make sure you're there on time -
because the best items will certainly disappear early. However,
don't show up before time - as the homeowner will probably still
be rushing around getting ready and might be annoyed at being
"pressured' - and so won't give you what you want!

You'll also want to check the newspapers in their classified
ads, as people often sell their furniture here as well. It's
often of high quality and you can get some excellent bargains.

And once you acquire pieces you want.... you can always sell
your old furniture at a garage sale yourself!

Frugal Wall Art for Gifts or your Home
By Monica Resinger
http://homemakersjournal.com

There are some lovely pictures available in retail stores, but they can be very expensive. I'd like to suggest some less expensive ways to make your own decorative wall art that will be more charming and beautiful in your home than any picture that can be purchased.

To get started, you'll need frames. Frames are also expensive when purchased retail, so I suggest buying them used. You can find good picture frames at yard sales and thrift stores for a fraction of the retail price. If there are minor problems with the frame, such as chipped paint or nicks and scratches, don't worry, you can cover that part up with the decorative ideas that follow.

What to Put in the Frame

Family pictures are a great, personal way to warm your home. Looking at them brings back memories for the owner or brings up conversations with guests. These also make great gifts for family members. If you're planning on designing family pictures to give as gifts, it's a good idea to start getting double prints developed from your films.

Pretty pictures cut from magazines, calendars or holiday cards are other items that make great wall art. You can choose pictures that have to do with the theme or colors in your home or in someone else's home if you're planning to give the picture as a gift.

Pressed flowers and leaves are beautiful framed. Outdoors, try to find flowers or leaves that are naturally flat and will lie between paper well, then press them between pages in a book. After a week or more, check to see if they're dry and crisp to the touch.

Frame crocheted doilies on a contrasting background for a beautiful picture. Hankies are another item that's easily framed. These are really special if the item belonged to a family member.

Save memorabilia from vacations such as ticket stubs, menus, napkins, pictures or other flat surface items and frame these for a unique picture that brings memories and conversation.

For a garden look, a pretty seed packet could be framed with a complimentary background. Hot glue small pinecones or other natural material to the frame to finish it off. If you don't have a pretty seed packet, you could cut a pretty garden picture from a magazine or birthday card.

Frame a recipe. What I like to do is copy and paste a recipe into a card/calendar or art program on my computer and change the colors and fonts of the text then add clip art, pretty backgrounds and/or a border. Print it out and you have a nice item that can be framed and used in the kitchen. You can also photocopy your own recipes to be framed and take a picture of the finished recipe to include with it.

Decorating the Frames

Decorate a picture frame by covering the entire frame with shells, buttons, pebbles, bottle-caps or other small items. Hot-glue would work best for attaching items. If you'd like, you could finish it off with a complimentary ribbon bow. You could also use these items or silk or dried flowers as accents and attach a few to a corner with a ribbon bow.

Paint it. Choose a color included in the picture you're framing and paint the frame that color with acrylic paint. You may need to apply 2-3 coats to cover the frame completely; be sure to let each coat dry before applying another. When the frame is completely covered and dry, you can then sponge paint a darker or lighter shade over that for a very pretty look. To sponge paint, simply dip a small area of a sponge in paint, blot on newspaper a few times to get excess paint off, then blot the sponge onto the frame. Another idea is to paint polka dots, squiggly lines or another small design in a contrasting color.

When decorating a frame to be given to a family member or friend, think of their favorite color, the color of the room they will most likely display the picture in, their hobbies, or what they enjoy. You could design a garden picture for your gardening friend, a family picture for a family member or a doily picture for your grandmother or mother. Have fun with it and unleash your creativity, the possibilities are endless!

Switching from traditional, pay-per-minute plans to unlimited long
distance calling plans can be a scary step for families with a
limited budget. That's why it's important to make sure the switch
actually benefits your family's needs.

What Is Unlimited Long Distance
Unlimited long distance is simply a long distance phone plan that
allows anyone in your household to call anywhere within the plan's
calling area for a flat monthly fee. Depending on the service you
sign up for, your unlimited long distance calling plan could include
all state-to-state calls, all intrastate calls, all international
calls, or a combination of the three.

Determine Your Needs
The first step to deciding if an unlimited long distance plan is
right for your family is to pull out your old phone bills and see how
much you're truly spending on long distance calls. Don't look at the
total cost of your phone bill because the basic charges for having
your phone installed and readily available every month will not be
included in the unlimited long distance service.

There is really only one factor in determining whether or not
unlimited long distance is right for your family:

• You spend a set dollar amount every month on long distance
calls and that dollar amount is more than the cost of the unlimited
service, plus fees and taxes.

If your long distance calls fluctuate every month, it might be more
cost-effective to find a cheaper per minute long distance service and
not sign up for an unlimited plan. The only time you'll want to
break this rule is if the average dollar amount per month is more
than the cost of the unlimited long distance service. To find the
average dollar amount per month, total all long distance calls over a
twelve month period and divide those calls by twelve.

Research Unlimited Long Distance Carriers
Not all unlimited long distance plans are created equal. While some
plans have no hidden agenda: no extra fees, no add-on services, no
restrictions, other plans need to be carefully researched and
monitored.

Depending on the carrier and the plan you sign up for, your unlimited
long distance plan may include some or all of the following
restrictions: toll calls not included, limited calling area, limited
number of minutes per month, a term contract, a sign-up or setup fee,
extra monthly fees, a usage fee, and/or taxes outside the advertised
rate.

Researching different unlimited carriers and studying the fine print
in each contract can save you hundreds of dollars and several
headaches—in the long run.

When researching unlimited long distance plans, make sure you double-
check the following:

• What does unlimited calling really mean?
• Is there a limit to the number of calls I can make?
If so, what is the per second/minute rate?
• What states are included in the unlimited calling area?
• Are toll numbers included in the unlimited calling area?
• Are international calls included in the unlimited calling
area?
• Do I have to sign a contract?
• Is there an early cancellation fee?
• Is there a switch, sign-up, or set up fee?
• When will my service be activated?
• Are there any surcharges?
• What taxes are charged?
• Can my local and long distance plan be combined to save even
more money?

Remember, choosing the right plan for your family should mean
immediate and long-term savings, not "potential" savings.

A Hope Chest was originally used as a dowry. It was property that a
woman owned and brought into her marriage. Some women could not find
a suitable husband, for various factors; therefore, the dowry was
used as a way of enticing a man into marriage.

The idea of a Hope Chest symbolizes so many hopes and dreams. It's
about seeing the future unfold before your very eyes and it's about
preserving a lifetime of memories and building a family legacy¯a
heritage. It's a place where a young girl places all her treasures
and dreams as she waits for her life to unfold. And it's a place
where parents dream, too.

The reality is that a Hope Chest has no special powers and the idea
of a dowry in today's times would be insulting. But that doesn't mean
that you have to stop dreaming or preserving your family's legacy.

True, a Hope Chest is nothing more than a wooden chest, a closet, a
storage unit, or a large box full of items that have been collected
over time. But with a little personalization, it can be so much more.
So close your eyes and think about what you wish would have been
passed down to you and then ask yourself, "What would I like to see
my child have as she (or he) leaves home to start a new chapter of
her life?"

Now, imagine your child's reaction when she opens her Hope Chest and
begins placing those items¯one by one¯throughout her new home. Can
you see the memories she will have as she reflects on each item and
the time the two of you purchased those items? (That's a
total "Miracles on 34th Street" feeling.)

Hope Chests also offer a great way to teach your child to start her
life debt-free; because a lot of the necessities and/or knick knacks
will have already been purchased. Wouldn't it be nice if your child
could start collecting some of those things now, so that she does not
have to go into debt to acquire those things later?

Just think how much less stressful your child's life with be if she
could find that perfect apartment and immediately begin to decorate
it¯to make it feel like home—with items from her past?
There are many ways you can accumulate things for a Hope Chest:
• Ask family members to share their treasures. Anything that
holds a special memory should be accompanied with a story/letter.
• Purchase items while on vacation or attend auctions and
rummage sales together.
• Ask friends and family members to purchase things that your
child would one-day want to own in her own home.
• As your child begins to work, she can purchase the smaller
ticketed items and place them into storage.
• You can also save for the larger ticketed items in a
special "move out" savings account.
The important thing to keep in mind is that a Hope Chest is very much
like a treasure chest. It is to be filled with things one will hold
dear for the rest of her life. Each item should symbolize a special
moment, place, or time in your child's life, or the life of the
giver. Now go out there and get started!

Title: Tips For Lighting And Watering Your Greenhouse

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Lighting and watering your greenhouse are two of the most
important factors in running it.

You will need a good soil for planting seeds. Compost, potting
or gardening soil and a little sand or perlite are a good start.
Read all directions in your seed packets.

Keep some of those black plastic flats that nurseries use to
display their plant containers. These are useful for starting
sees and transplants.

Benches in greenhouses are essential, as they hold trays of
plants that have already sprouted from seeds.

Styrofoam cups – have several of these handy. Seeds sprout
quickly and once they grow large enough to move into separate
containers, they can be gently lifted and transferred into
ordinary Styrofoam cups.

You can also use yogurt plastic cups, and large commercial type
containers that can hold more than one plant. In fact, any
container you can think of will be suitable.

Other materials you should have on hand are broken clay pots,
cracked walnuts, marbles, charcoal or gravel. These help in
proper drainage. Be sure to soak clay pots in water a few
minutes before using them. This will prevent the clay from
absorbing the moisture from the potting soil.

If you want to have trellises inside your greenhouse, you can
make them out of coat hangers, which you can bend to any shape
your heart desires.

Herbs are perfect for keeping pests at bay. They are what one
writer calls "nature's insecticides". Have a variety of them
inside your greenhouse. You can make a natural insecticide by
adding onions or garlic to a jar of water. Leave it for a week
and spray on your plants.

Other garden tools that will help you run your greenhouse
efficiently are air coolers for the hot summer. This is to
maintain the temperatures at desired levels. Power vents in the
roof are also a good idea to release hot air that can build up
suddenly in the summer.

In the winter, a good heater would be nice to warm the
greenhouse. Other accessories you need are a humidifier, a CO2
generator, and a mister.

Greenhouse lighting system.

A type of light called high intensity discharge lighting (HID)
used to be employed by commercial growers in large greenhouses.
However, the idea of artificial lighting to stimulate plant
growth became increasingly popular.

H.I.D. lighting not only adds to natural sunlight, but can
actually serve as a substitute during long winters when natural
sunlight is in scant supply. They are energy efficient and
operational costs are low. Here are just a few of the benefits
of HID lighting:

Increases the health and strength of plants, and stimulates
growth and yield rates,

Supplements natural sunlight; by using HID lighting, you also
extend "day length",

Enables container outdoor plants on decks and patios during the
summer to be moved indoors during the winter,

Are definitely more powerful than conventional fluorescents.

Greenhouse tables, shelving and plant holders

These are indispensable, especially when you need to work
inside your greenhouse and to maximize and organize your
greenhouse space. As your plant varieties grow, you will need
shelves and tables and plant holders to facilitate your
gardening. One popular type of bench that greenhouse hobbyists
like is the cedar double layer bench. They are durable and
efficient to use.

For shelves, you can opt for two and three section lengths made
of aluminum.

Given that watering your plants is an essential – indispensable
-part of any greenhouse gardening, a good watering system is
required. You can choose either the automatic or hand held
watering system to make your watering needs more efficient.

For automatic irrigation systems, there are models that come
equipped with an automatic drip irrigation and fertilizer
system. Day or night, they regularly water the plants and adjust
the flow of fertilizer. Some have a tank in which the water and
fertilizer are mixed and are distributed to plants via hoses,
Y-connections and drip pins.

Greenhouse garden coil indoor/outdoor watering wand

This is a "self-coiling" garden hose made of rugged and durable
polyurethane tubing. It produces ultra-fine mists and sprays in
soft, gentle streams. Some wand models extend to as long as 50
feet. No hassle storage because of self-coiling mechanism.

Greenhouses constantly evolve in style and design. It follows
then that tools and accessories will grow in number or existing
ones will be considerably improved. Manufacturers are probably
inventing more tools and accessories this very moment that will
make our work in greenhouses easier and quicker.

Remember that you are not limited to a certain variety of
plants to grow in a greenhouse. Bear in mind, however, that your
preference for certain fruits, vegetables and plants will
determine the type of greenhouse you like to build. "Know thy
crop" is an important factor before deciding on the greenhouse
type you will install.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
As undoubtedly cozy your home is, you're always seeking for
ways to improvise. Wouldn't you love the chance to re-decorate
your home from scratch? You probably can. Of course, it's going
to take a lot of effort, not to mention time and money, to
undergo such a project. Still, it's well worth the effort.

Starting Small

If you're really determined to give your home a makeover, why
not start small? You don't need to do a major overhaul to
improve your living space. Start with the bare essentials and
work your way up.

You can do it any way you like. You can consider renovating one
room at a time. Or, you can start repainting or re-wallpapering
your walls and maybe strip your floors and install new flooring.
If these still seem like too big a project for your budget,
consider a less tedious technique, such as adding key pieces to
your furniture and fixtures.

Bringing in the New

Adding pieces of furniture or fixtures is easy enough. Still,
there are a lot of things that need to be considered before
taking on such an endeavor.

Consider the current furniture that adorns your rooms. Take
your living room, for example. You probably have couches and
chairs, center, end, and side tables, a carpet and rugs, and
maybe even a lamp or two. Take a look around and think about
what you'd like to add to the ensemble. Do the same with your
kitchen, dining room, study, etc.

The Classic Piece

Taste and elegance must be your first priority, and nothing
could be more elegant and tasteful than a contemporary
grandfather clock. A contemporary grandfather clock is the
classic piece de resistance that will surely make an impact in
any drab room.

A contemporary grandfather clock can be made to stand on your
foyer, making it the first thing visitors see when they come to
call. It can also be made to stand sentinel in a corner of your
living room. You can also use a contemporary grandfather clock
to stand sentinel in your study.

Indeed, whether your current decorating scheme is old Victorian
or art deco, Mediterranean or Oriental, a contemporary
grandfather clock is sure to blend in without a hitch.

A contemporary grandfather clock best enhances your living
space when it's discrete but by no means obscure. It should be
unobtrusive and not flashy. A contemporary grandfather clock,
after all, is an elegant timepiece, and not a gaudy showboat.

Your Home, Your Project

Whether you're doing a major renovation or a minor one, if
you're stripping the floors or just adding a contemporary
grandfather clock, it's always best to do it yourself. Not only
does it save you money, you are also allowing your personality
and creativity to flow in every corner, nook and cranny, and
crevice in your home.

Ideally, you can seek guidance from an interior decorator for a
more professional input. Still, it's your project, so take the
helm and remember that it's your vision that ultimately counts.
