Carter told reporters on a stopover in Brussels that “profligate spending,” massive borrowing and dramatic tax cuts since President George W. Bush took office in [...]
Fri, 10 Oct 2008 15:46:58 +0200 Energy is supposed to be Sarah Palin’s one area of strength, but she seems to either misunderstand basic energy policy regarding the use of Alaska’s natural energy reserves, or she deliberately lied in order to avoid a confrontation in a recent Wisconsin town hall meeting. From the Associated Press:
A questioner at a town hall-style meeting in Wisconsin [...]

This is the first time this species has been observed living, and it is only known from a handful of specimens trawled up over 50 years before. These fish must sustain immense pressure, [...]

Los Angeles lawyer Richard B. Kendall described the sonar as like the sound of “a jet engine in this room multiplied by 2,000 times.” He said beaked whales, in panic, dive deeply to escape the sound, and they sometimes suffer bleeding and even death when they try to resurface.

Wed, 08 Oct 2008 17:33:50 +0200 The reality of MTV’s “Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island” is ugly, since it seems the gentler MTV of the 1980s has grown into a corporate monster that will stop at nothing to produce and air its worthless crap. While filming and producing “Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island,” MTV trashed Boca del Drago [...]
