According to the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 911 call reporting a wreck in the 2100 block at 2:40 p.m. Preliminary investigation by the traffic unit shows the vehicle traveling south on Eureka Road and crossing into the opposite lane when it rounded a small curve. The vehicle then left the roadway, according to the report, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree. Terry Earnest, 53, of Charleston, had died when Emergency Medical Service arrived at the scene. The Bradley County Volunteer Fire and Rescue also responded.
