Connecting the dots from Africa to Brasil
by way of the Caribbean. Wed, 17 Mar 2010 21:28:23 +0100 SORRY EVERYONE! IT HAD BEEN POINTED OUT TO US THAT SOME TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY OCCURRED DURING OUR SHOW UPLOAD TODAY THAT CREATED A GAP IN PROGRAMMING. WE TOOK THIS EPISODE DOWN AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. SORRY FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE. Today, Rasheed brings you a very special show dedicated in loving memory to one of the finest, most talented percussionist in music: Victor Pantoja. The master drummer passed away peacefully in his sleep last Friday. To those of us musicians who had a chance to perform with him, laugh with him and cry with him, we know that he is worthy of some special place. Rasheed especially dedicates this show to Glenn Brooks and Steve Guttierez; who was more like a brother to Victor than anyone. Rasheed will return on Saturday with his regularly scheduled show.
