Hi, after a while without news update here the latest pictures from the award ceremony held during the Light+Building Fair in Frankfurt (Germany).

Walker - the walking lamp has won the thrid place thanks to the vote of the public. Thank you again. The winner of the Walker lamp will be contacted by on-light.

We finally struggled to put some pictures of our expirience at the IMM in Cologne. We preffered to Flikr the pictures to share this special moments with the world.

Frankie's Walker has won the "Europen Luminaire of the year award 2006" thanks to the votes from all over the world.

This award was founded three years ago from the german online lighting portal On-Light and the Lighting magazine Highlight. The unique aspect to this award is the voting formula. The people are the judges. After a period of "nomination", where visitors of the website Lighting of the year can submit their prefered lamp designs, the top 12 nominees enter the ring.

812 visitors voted for Walker - the walking lamp. The final ranking spread is less than 0,2% of the total votes. So we can say that all top 3 lamps are winners and we congratulate them.

The official award ceremony will take place at the Light+Building Fair in Frankfurt (D) on the 23. April 2006. This is also "the day" for all those who have partecipated in the draw to win a Walker lamp.

To celebrate the award Frankie is preparing a little surprise for you. More will be revealed soon.

Only 5 days to go. The "Luminaire of the year award 2006" will close on January 31st and so your chances to win a Walker lamp. Hurry up.

The IMM is still running, and Frankie can announce that the fair is a full success. Walker, Ziggy and Zaggy are in the center of attention by the media, buyers and customers alike.

It's your chance got see them first. Ten days before the premiere of the new furniture range of Frankie at the IMM Cologne the website has been updated. Two new galleries showing Ziggy - the couch table chair and Zaggy - the table with knock knees.

Don't hesitate and have a look at them. The products will be on sale from March 2006, but pre-orders are accepted.

Walker, the first walking lamp is going to be featured in various magazines. To name a few ID (USA), dwell (USA), NOITHAT (VN), Design@Home (FR), Azzure (CA), Mark (NL), Karaat (BE).

We will provide the scans of the articles in our press section as soon as possible.

Frankie attends with it's Walker lamp to the Designspotter Designfair in cologne from 16.-23 Jannuary. Visit their site to see who else will be shown on this special exebithion, which takes place at the "PASSAGEN" during the imm-cologne.

So you have to occasions to see our products - inside the fair and outside. See you there.

Frankie is on the new exhibition organized by the imm-cologne. It's called NRG [Energy] and our stand will be in Hall R3.1 Stand B-019.

So don't forget to come and visit us as we will launch our new range of furniture and lamps.

Frankie now accepts Credit-Card and PayPal payments. This streamlines the buying process and gives the customers an easy and secure way to buy our goods.

We are planning to make it easier even more for our costumers as we want to introduce a form to request a quotation. We count to make it more transparent to the customer how we calculate our shipment costs.

Frankie is glad to annouce that it will be an exhibitor at the new design event of the imm-cologne called NRG [energy].

NRG will be open seven days during the imm-cologne and host next to the exposition other events, like the "inspired by cologne" and the "future point". If you want to refuel your inspirations check it out.

Designspotter is a design web magazine dedicated to everything related to young modern conteporary design. During the imm cologne a comunity exibition of featured designers will be held. Walker is among the featured designs and will be shown. More detailed information will follow.

MoCo Loco is a web magazine featuring modern contempo-
rary design news and views. On Monday 17th MoCo Loco will publish a post about Walker.

Frannkie has started a new RSS-Feed with information for young designers. It will help explain how a product starts as an idea and how it gets into production. Tips and techniques, do's and don'ts, a whole lot of information. And of course, Frankie will interact with the readers.

Goal of this Feed is to build the base for a website where young and expirienced professional can share their knowledge.

Walker, the walking lamp has been nominated for the "luminaire of the year" award, iniciated by the information platform for light "ON-LIGHT" and the magazine "HIGHLIGHT".

This is a peoples award, so the winner will be the lamp with the most votes. The voting will open from october 20th until December 31st. So don't hestitate and go to luminaire of the year.

Frankie is a design-workshop. It is our goal to provide innovative design products which are produced in limited editions only. No mass production and therefore high quality and designs with an unique character.

Walker is the first product launched by Frankie. "This lamp has something very special. If you kick it, it won't fall down, but it will walk away.", says Frank Neulichedl, the designer behind Walker. "If you build something so special, you want that it will not lose it's uniques. So it was quite obvious that we limited the production to a single edition of 20 lamps." The smooth light of the lamp and it's design can be viewed in the gallery.

What is design allowed to do and what’s not? Design is allowed to do anything, we think. Except being restrictive. And boring. Frankie is an italian design-workshop that will surprise you! And so will this feed, with all the news about the products and activities of Frankie.
