I passed Red Mike's yesterday and wondered if anyone has read any additional news regarding the shooting/death.

Anyone? Anyone?

Video Open Override

Those flapjacks are some newfangled thingy and a travesty of the real Hobnob with its long history stretching back to the dim and distant early eighties.

According to Shan... we got them at the petrol station across from the hotel on bath rd... but now that I've beat me head against the laptop... she's confessing they may have chocolate.... I think I'm just going to order those for her... She keeps saying it's a blue wrapper.... but the blue is chocolate.... then she starts to doubt her stance for the last year..... then I remember them... and I'm like... I think they did have chocolate....

so, no worries....

Of course

Microwaves are indeed dangerous. They cook things. We all know that you can use flame as a weapon

That doesn't prevent it from being used for peaceful purposes

The dangers of high energy radio waves are nothing new, just as sitting on an electric stove top is not recommended practice unless you like your testicles and buttocks to have an interesting spiral brand.

I thought that your claim was that microwaving food makes the food not just hot, but in some way toxic?

Hi Liv

Which store did you find them in?

If I can't get one locally, then I'll have a look in London when I'm there next week on business.

Should be able to ship for you to get before Christmas.

I owe you a favour after sorting out those mince pies, for when I was at your Christmas party

Cheers

Paul

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The latest North Carolina crime stats are in, and a Triad city tops the list for the most crimes per capita in the state.

Greensboro was rated No. 1 in the latest Congressional Press Annual City Crime Rankings.

An estimated 230,000 people live in Greensboro. It's the largest city in the Triad, but it is not the largest in the state.

However, the latest crime statistics showed that Greensboro leads the state when it comes to cities ranking for crime.

The 2008 crime rankings have the Gate City over Charlotte, Wilmington, Fayetteville and Raleigh.

A total of seven North Carolina cities included in the report all have fewer crimes than Greensboro.

The stats come from cities that report crimes to the FBI. The study examined murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and motor vehicle thefts.

Nationally, Greensboro ranks No. 57, while Charlotte comes in at 62.

Las Vegas came in just ahead of Greensboro at No. 56. Chattanooga, Tenn., followed at 58.

The top three cities with the most crimes are New Orleans, Camden, N.J., and Detroit.

Several cities did not make the list, including Winston-Salem and Durham. That's not because crimes did not occur in those cities, but because there were problems with collecting or reporting the information to the FBI.

That's why some critics said the crime stats do not show the full picture.

I'd be happy to see both Hindu and Sikh theology here. Tired of the same christoblahblah and some other perspectives would be welcomed, at least by me.
Namaste back atcha.

If you really believe in Heaven, why the reluctance to go there? I'd have thought you'd be loading up on meat (God likes meat), butter (ghee) and hanging around on hilltops in thunderstorms carrying golf clubs and wearing copper boots. Not worrying about heating food by electromagnetically induced molecular friction as compared to infra-red radiation from oxidation of hydrocarbons.

Anyway very few of us here are likely to get to heaven, if the Bible is to be believed. I didn't think Sikhs or Hindus believed in Heaven? I though that after death one merged into the force of nature, possibly to be incorporated into coal and then burnt to generate electricity to power microwaves. But I am making an assumption based on your name and vegetarianism.

Tscha. It donna actually say dat in da Bible!!! It were St Augustin wot rote that, you illiterate persons....

Anyway, all by the by getting to heaven is simplicity itself - there's nowhere else to go. It's BEING there that's the problem. I'm not about to begin a monologue upon Hindu and Sikh theology other than to say, "yes, no, they/we do believe in heaven, we just use different names. That's about the only difference."

Getting back to the matter inhand, however, I do know of a place where you can download a history of the microwave from its inception as an oil & coal substitute for field kitchens in Hitlers Germany. After making the troops very ill it was shelved. After WWII, the US military tried to make a death ray weapon out of it but could not focus the beam sufficiantly to kill instantly, only slowly. The Russian military used it to make western embassy personell ill but, because of its grave health hazzards, made it illegal to produce, sell or use throughout the Russian empire. I've found the chocolate hobnob flapjacks but not the non-chocolate one's she's been raving about since we left London. Supposedly it's like a granola honeyish flavor... but I can't find anything online or where to order it from... Even the company that makes them "United Biscuit" seems to hate the internet...

The best pic I could find is this: (the bottom one) ... I think...
