In the early 90's DJ Wade (Peter Wade / Electric Pete from Shitake Monkey) started collecting reggae, ska, dancehall, rock steady, dub and roots records to play on his weekly radio show on KWUR 90.3FM. Eventually he ended up touring the country for 2 years DJing with his Ska band Isaac Green and the Skalars.
