In the 15th chapter of Genesis we see Abraham's first justification, as "he believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness." Gen 15:6.

Last time we studied something we have that we must endeavor to keep, the unity of the spirit, now we examine something that we must yet enter in to, the unity of the faith. "unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" Eph 4:13

Today we take a close look at the end of Genesis 14 where we learn of Melchizedek the priest of the most high God (a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ), and Abram's battle against temptation and the king of Sodom.

In this message we study the seven-fold unity of the Spirit. "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Eph 4:4-6

Under the dispensation of government, man failed to keep the parameters of God's covenant, and so God turned away from an administration of all men, and singled out Abraham and his household, committing to him His word and testimony.

A closer look at principalities and powers is prudent when studying these precious verses in Ephesians 3: "to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord" Eph 3:10-11

"... were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened." Gen 7:11. The deluge followed by the Noahic covenant conclude our series on the dispensation of conscience. We also take a brief look at Numbers 13 and 1st Samuel 17 to learn more about the Nephilim.

Ephesians 3 discloses the great mystery which in other ages had not been made known to the sons of men. "That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel" Eph 3:6

As we continue our study of this dispensation, we see with our eyes of understanding what happened when God left man to his own devices. "And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air, for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Gen 6:7-8

Our study of Ephesians 2 takes us into a detailed look at the temple of God. "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone: In Whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an hoy Temple in the Lord." Eph 2:19-21

As the way of Cain (Jude 11) has proliferated through the ages, it is prudent to look carefully at the direct descendants of Cain and see their impact as the "wickedness of man became so great that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Gen 6:5)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Eph 2:8-10

As we turn to the second house order that God instituted, we begin with the account of Cain and Abel. Abel offered up a sacrifice by faith (Heb 11:4), but Cain came to the Lord after his own manner.

In this glorious section we learn what is the pleroma, or fulness, of Christ today. He "...hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all." Eph 1:23

We return to Genesis 3 to tie up loose ends concerning the serpent, the woman Eve, and the Tree of Life.

In this episode, we study the mind of Christ as we purpose to better understand what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe. "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints" Eph 1:18

In the third chapter of the book of Genesis we find the deception of Eve, the fall of man, and the grace of God as He makes the first promise in Scripture. "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between her seed; it shall bruise they head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Gen 3:15
