Latest company news and announcements One RF Technology, front-runners of European ZigBee technology, and Daintree Networks, Inc., the world-wide leader in ZigBee Sensor Network Analyzer (SNA) software, today announced a partnership to offer ZigBee developers a powerful new solution.
TinyOne Pro 500 mWOEM RF modules are based on our TinyOne concept, but offer more power and range than our TinyOne Classic modules. TinyOne OEM RF modules are low power compact radio solutions for wireless applications. Their high level of integration and flexible firmware can help to replace wires in many data transmission systems - even for non RF specialists.
One RF Technology PowerOne modems were used by Welter Racing during the famous "24 Heures du Mans" 24 Hour sports car race last weekend. The modems were used to transmit engine data from the car to the mechanics at the pit garage.
As a member of the ZigBee Alliance, One RF Technology follows the developments of the ZigBee stack closely and develops its in-house firmware accordingly. One RF Technology is determined to offer a fully compliant ZigBee platform as soon as the ZigBee Alliance has finalized the release 8.0. The in-house ZigBee stack is to be tested for compliance at the ZigFest member meeting in October 2006.
One RF Technology makes a blasting appearance at the Festival d'Art Pyrotechnique in Cannes at the French Riviera on Tuesday 15th of August 2006. Company designed and manufactured radio modems are used by one of the finalists of the fireworks competition, a French company called Feerie, to trigger fireworks at a fast speed to the tune of different melodies. A custom software for this application was designed by One RF Technology to ensure reliable and precise ignition of the fireworks. The fireworks show called "Romeo and Juliet" lasts for 30 minutes starting at 10 pm on Tuesday the 15 of August.
One RF Technology, determined to offer its customers the latest know-how in RF technology, announced earlier this year its aim to offer its customers a ZigBee compliant platform as soon as the ZigBee Alliance has finalized the development of the ZigBee standard. At that time, the company was working to offer a release R8 compliant ZigBee stack. However, as the ZigBee Alliance continued to improve the standard, the stack releases continued to evolve at a fast pace. For One RF Technology this meant another jump in the in-house stack development. One RF Technology is currently focused to offer a release R12 compliant platform as soon as possible. The in-house ZigBee stack will be tested for release R12 compliance at the next ZigFest member meeting in Taiwan in October 2006.
One RF Technology is developing a new version of the in-house firmware. This enhanced version of the enhanced firmware has a working name ”Mesh lite”. The company is using its experience from the ZigBee standard to implement mesh functionality into its standard in-house firmware. The goal is to offer mesh networking while keeping the cost of the radio solution low. The new enhanced version of the in-house firmware will be available in the TinyOne product family, notably in the TinyOne Lite, TinyOne Plus and TinyOne Pro radio modules and modems.
One RF Technology expands it product range. The latest member of the successful TinyOne product family is the TinyOne Plus OEM RF module. It is based on the high performance TinyOne Pro module, but optimized for low consumption applications (25 mW). TinyOne Plus is completely compatible with TinyOne Pro and it can be used to build "back bone" radio networks together with TinyOne Pro. TinyOne Plus will be available with the new "mesh lite" functionality. A IP67 modem version is also under development. TinyOne Plus will be available in 868 MHz and 915 MHz.
One RF Technology introduces a new radio modem for tough environments and weather conditions - TinyOne Pro IP67. This new radio modem includes a 500 mW radio module with advanced embedded firmware, metal casing and a quarter wave antenna, making it optimal for i.e. irrigation applications. The modem will be available for use in 868 MHz and 915 MHz ISM Frequency bands in Q4-2006.
