I got my other 3 sites up and ready to go but time is so limited. That’s the only part about it that I hate. I’m still setting up my affiliates for those sites. Shouldn’t have any probs except since they’re so new and don’t have much content, I won’t have enough traffic or page views to get approved for many of them. The only reason I can’t get approved for many affiliate programs here is cuz I got porn here. I get enough traffic here that if I had affiliate links, I’d be closer to making a decent amount of money off them. But that’s life. Once I get time to make my first 2 ebooks for The Masked Guardian (MG) and Following The Syllabus (FTS), I’m sure traffic will increase dramatically on those sites.

Speaking of those, people ask me a lot, “What do you write?” My passion is MG. That’s what I’ll put my heart and soul into when the time comes. FTS consists of all my college writing. I never scored below a ‘B’ for anything I wrote in my writing major. Most of my stuff was ‘A’ material so it certainly has relevance. No sense in letting it sit and collect dust. I’d rather share the work so other college students will know what they need to do to make good grades. Thus the name of the book series.

Running 4 sites will be a chore, no doubt, but that’s what’s I gotta do. For now on this site, I have to update the ‘New Media Archive’ postings with preview images. After that, I still have to update all the older posts with new fonts and change the directories and names of any pics in them. Then I have to focus on the ‘exclusive video’ section which needs a lot of work. Some stuff is up and running perfectly fine. Other stuff I’m holding off on cuz I’m not sure which company I’m gonna go with for ad optimization. Like I said, everything I’ve been working for the last couple years is happening but it’s happening all at once. I can’t fucking breathe! Not even getting enough sleep at night. Getting behind on my tv and chores. My phase plan is in disarray. What the fuck?! I’m exaggerating. Life is good and only getting better.

You’ll notice in my calendar that I’m going to see the movie Trainspotting. There’s really only 1 reason I wanna see it: Danny Boyle. I loved 28 Days Later and Sunshine. But here’s the thing that makes me feel obligated to pay theater pricing for Trainspotting over just downloading it or getting the dvd: I downloaded Sunshine rather than paying for it in theaters. It only played here for a week. That same week, the dvdrip became available. I opted for ‘free’ of course. The movie was great and I felt a little regret that I didn’t contribute to the bottom line by paying for it. Plus it would’ve looked that much better on the big screen. I’ve always said since then that if I ever met Danny Boyle, I’d personally hand him 5 bucks for that lack of better judgment.

So to make up for it, I’ll pay to see his 1st big flick. I don’t know who’s gonna reap the most profit from it, but at least I can say I supported his work. The guy makes good movies. Can’t say I have loyalty to many directors but he’s definitely one of them. I’m keeping this post short on purpose. Got work to do on the other sites. Gotta eat later too. And watch a little tv so I don’t get too far behind. And download media for the next update. And convert it. Busy, busy, busy!

As you can see, there’s been some site changes. My new sites are listed above and will all be updated with content soon enough. I’ve changed the template so that all of them can look like a family of sites. They could all use a polishing but I can only do the best I can with the time I’ve got, which is pretty limited. So from now on, anything pertaining to those sites specifically will be posted on those sites. Content I had here related to them has already been removed from here and will be posted there. All that’s left now is to pretty the sites up a bit, get the affiliates that I want, and then I’m good to go. Takes a lot of time running this website alone but I can make it happen.

As far as this site is concerned, I still have to update many of the articles and pic links. I’ll be adding a ‘make money online’ category that will have links to as many affiliate and referral programs that are legit and pay. So if you wanna get paid for doing absolutely nothing in most cases, it’ll be a big help when I get that going. It all depends on if those companies approve me of course so that I can sample them for myself and pass along the info. I’m gonna do a free porn category too. Been wanting to do that for so long now and finally know how I wanna do it. Stay tuned for them both. I’m also thinking about updating the video players to include some sort of advertising so I can get revenue from them. Not the copyrighted vids, just my own personal vids that are mostly in the exclusive video section. I plan on deleting any content, photo and video, that isn’t my own so that I’ll have mostly all exclusive content here. But that’s a ways down the line.

I’m also expanding my content into various online forums. No sense in keeping at all contained on this site alone. My traffic has already increased and that’s all part of the plan. But mainly I just wanna share what’s already here. And yes, I do make a little change from it. So sue me for wanting to get broke off a little.

Two probs I have now are my graphic design experience (I have none) and the new JW flv media player update to version 4. I have Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Acrobat 9 Pro Extended installed now. They both work perfectly except Illustrator won’t update to version 13.0.2. But that’s a known issue that Adobe has yet to address or fix. I know how to use Acrobat. Got no clue how to use Illustrator to create the logos to put in the headers for my individual sites. So for now, it’ll just be plain, hyperlinked text like what’s here now. The updated flash player doesn’t support the stop button anymore and thumbnail images prove to be pointless since you can’t stop the video to view them. So I went back to the old version 3.16. It works in every player now except the mp3’s. I don’t have the code for those anymore so I’m stuck with version 4 for those. I’m keeping my eye open for any changes (for the better, not the worse like they just did) to that player though.

I’ve had a prob with Microsoft Word 2007 ever since I first got it. The default font was always Calibri, the font size was always 11 I think, and the style was always ‘normal’ which left some space between the lines. I prefer using Verdana>10>no spacing. I always had to change to those settings every single time I wanted to type something up. And last night was the last straw. I went online for a solution and found it. To change your default font, font size, and font style, go to the ‘home’ menu, click the little arrow in the font sub-menu box, change the settings to your liking, and make sure to hit ‘default’ and then ‘yes.’ That solved the prob for me. I opened and closed Word several times to test it out and it worked. Next up was the style. The default ‘normal’ setting leaves space between the lines and it was always a pain changing to ‘no spacing’ and keeping it set there.

The solution for me was to go to the ‘home’ menu, then click the little arrow in the paragraph sub-menu box, change the spacing in before and after to zero, line spacing to single (if it’s not like that already), and select where it says “don’t add space…” Then click ‘default’ and ‘yes’ and that should do it. Works great so far. For me, it’s a time saver. The seconds that I used to keep changing to my desired settings added up. I don’t have that prob anymore.

All that praise I gave Tristone Bank, I’ll have to take some of it back. They took a while to get the ball rolling. They never mailed or emailed my login or routing and account info. Didn’t even send my debit card. So when the minimum $100 dollars never appeared in the new account, they closed it. And they wonder why I never transferred the dough. How the hell am I gonna do that when I don’t have any info to do it? So I called them (several times) and they reopened the account, got my login and password, routing info, debit card on the way and all that good stuff. The words I hated hearing most from them was “I don’t know” and “I forgot.” I won’t mention any names but it pissed me off. Even worse was when they said they’d call back but never did. Shit like that just steams the shit out of me! I think it’s supremely unprofessional. But being rude and mean gets nobody nowhere. So I just took it for what it was and waited the process out. I lost out on the interest rate for a month but that’s okay. They said they’d extend it to this month due to the screw-ups.

I’d say the biggest issue I have with that process is all the paperwork. Part of the reason they can offer that rate is not only the debit card transaction fees and the inevitable idiots who don’t meet requirements (and get the lower interest rate) and those that overdraft, but also the fact that they’d use less paper with electronic statements, use up less human resources to process and mail the shit, and save money on postage and time. So why do I gotta keep filling out all this shit and mailing it? It ain’t just Tristone, it’s all these cats offering up reward checking as far as I know. If your ChexSystems info is on point, you don’t have these probs with the big boys.

Even still, if you can do your fucking income tax online and completely paperless (minus w2’s which should have a paperless, electronic delivery option from all employers), the account setup and opening process should be the same for these guys. I love paperless. It’s the way to go. Save a tree! Just like we have digital signatures for our taxes, we should have that for this shit too. Maybe even make it work for and apply to all electronic financial transactions. Everything’s going green and digital right? So what the fuck are they waiting for?

I have to correct myself. I thought the upcoming movie Punisher: War Zone was an in-house Marvel production and would be rated PG-13 like they said they were gonna have for all their movies. It’s actually a Lionsgate shindig and rated R. I won’t pay to see it cuz judging from the trailers, it’s way too stylized and not street and gritty enough. Seeing The Punisher upside down on the chandelier was the dealbreaker. That isn’t, and has never, ever been how he gets down.

Why risk a mass exodus and loss of monthly income? Plus we can avoid the ETF if we decide to cancel. It just makes no sense to me. When our contracts run out, that’s one thing. Then they can force us to take their 5gb or tell us to fuck off and go find another phone service. New customers coming in already expect 5gb so there’s no surprises with them. It’s just bad business to change the conditions of the contract. The one thing that set them apart from the herd and they fuck it up. Instead of increasing bandwidth and updating their infrastructures, ISP’s are throttling and filtering traffic, and capping bandwidth mainly to thwart file-sharers using p2p and BitTorrent, claiming those users are clogging up all the bandwidth and slowing things down for everyone else. That’s just backwards ass bullshit logic. They’re like the RIAA and MPAA now, living in the fucking stone age. Instead of moving forward and getting with the times (digital distribution), they’re taking steps backwards and we’re the ones who suffer for it: the ones who make them their money. It’s just complete and total bullshit!

I think what Time Warner Cable is doing may set a trend if it proves to be successful. They’re metering bandwidth now or they’re going to. That means that customers with low usage will pay less, those with higher usage will pay more based on how much they use. Basically, it’s like power consumption: you pay for what you use and I agree with that method. I don’t think that’s such a bad idea if the pricing is fair. I’d like to think it’s similar to the plan I have for this blog. If I go over my allotted bandwidth, I pay a small fee for each gigabyte of overage. And it’s a fair price that I don’t mind paying when/if I do go over. And they have different plans to accommodate different bandwidth and storage needs. What I’d like to think TW is doing is offering different speeds and bandwidth allotments for their plans, kinda like what most internet hosting services have been doing since forever. Some people need blazing fast speeds and transfer gb upon gb of data (like me), others don’t. Metering may prove to be a success or failure. But at least it’s something other than putting limitations on customers. That’s just a real bitch move.

This is gonna be a fairly short post since we got rained out and we did all the rides one right after the other without much waiting, if any.

We started the day by getting (free) breakfast at the Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista and were on tap to get to the park right at opening. The idiot I went with told me the day before that he already bought sunscreen for us both. Turns out he didn’t and he told me that when we were on our way to the fucking park. Like 5 minutes before we got there and shit. I was pissed cuz we wasted time going to a gas station across from Downtown Disney to get some but it was massively overpriced. Like 8 bucks for a tiny bottle. But their gas was surprisingly cheap: $3.87. That was cheaper than most gas prices we saw in the city.

So we went to a Walgreens about a half-mile away off property on 535. Soon as you walk in, there’s a display of different sunscreens on sale for $7.99. I still thought that was a bit much but the bottle was a decent size that’d cover us both for the day: 6 fl oz. It was storebrand, no-rub, sport, continuous spray-on clear, UVA/UVB protection, sweat and water resistant, SPF 50. How the hell could we pass that up? Says clearly on the bottle to pay at cosmetics. So we did. Price turned out to be $4.25 with no tax. Light bulb went off in my head all of a sudden. Now here’s a hustle if I ever saw one. Shit was way cheaper than advertised and nowhere on Disney property would come close to matching that deal. If someone wanted to buy a shitload of these and sell ‘em for bout 8 or 9 bucks, they could fucking rake in the bread. That was a damn good deal. Worked as advertised and we still got some left over.

Driving through Disney can be a pain cuz their traffic light synchronization totally fucking sucks! We just kept hitting red light after red light and were getting fucking pissed even more when considering all that idling was wasting gas (I was driving my car). We finally got there and parked but it didn’t hit us till later that parking was free so that’s a bonus. The parking lot was fairly empty but most people arrived via Disney bus transportation. So most people in the park were Disney guests. There’s a mini golf joint right at the front entrance (forgot what it’s called). I had a good pic of it but it was overexposed so I ditched it. Once in the park, it was basically empty since it just opened at 9 and we got there 30 minutes after.

We went to the Beach Haus (their gift shop), which is right there as soon as you walk through the gates, to get our locker key. We got a large locker that cost 12 bucks and when you return the key you get back 5 of those bucks. Not a bad deal. And everywhere in the park takes credit cards. A major plus for people like me who very rarely use cash. We hit up the bathroom/showers first to change. That was when I saw my first naked man ass. Asian guy just stripped down to his nothings right in front of me like it was no big deal. Got out of there, stuffed our shit in our locker, and proceeded to hit up the main attraction: Summit Plummet. I got on it, he didn’t. He wussed out. Chump ass bitch. You have the option of taking the stairs up (good exercise) or the ski left (no idea what it’s actually called). I hoofed it, stood in line for a good 30 minutes (great panoramic views), and zoomed on down at 58 mph. The thrill is short-lived but exhilarating.

The area up top is pretty much the hub for all the major thrill rides. Slush Gusher was my fave. It’s not that fast but on the way down, you catch some air and that’s what makes it cool. You get some air on Downhill Double Dipper too. That one’s supposed to be a race but really isn’t as the clock keeps ticking after you’ve left the ride. But that’s a Disney flaw. On the way up to that, we saw a little white girl, probably bout 5 or 6-years-old, and overweight as hell. I happened to be the poor schmuck behind her. It was funny and I was grossed out at the same time. So young yet has a world of health problems waiting for her if her parents don’t step in and do something about it. Lots of fat kids here. You can’t always blame genetics for this shit. Parenting skills (or lack thereof) play a part in it too.

Other stuff of note that I didn’t talk about in the vid was when I went to take a piss later on and saw another naked guy. White guy this time. And hairy. Before it rained, a little 2-year-old kid was crying his eyes out in the locker area cuz his parents left him naked while they were getting his swimming clothes ready. Yep, even saw a naked little boy. Full frontal. I guess some people just don’t care. Faggots and pedophiles will absolutely love this place.

Like I said, this is gonna be a short post. The rain came for about 20 minutes between 4 and 5p, the air temperature dropped a good 10 degrees, and the park thinned out. The rain stopped and people were out and about again till a massive bolt of lightning hit pretty close and the loud thunderclap sent everyone scrambling out of the park. It was hilarious. When that thunder roared, people flinched as if Jason had just jumped out of the bushes to kill ‘em. And I swear to god, most of the people were literally running to get out of the park. After that, it was dead. A fucking ghost town. Everything was closed and there was nowhere to go and nothing to do except leave. So we lost about 3 to 4 good hours of enjoyment. I lost a lot of video and pic opps. I did everything I could at the bottom and when I was gonna go topside, that’s when the rain put the kibosh on that. It was a major bummer. Their policy is that you have to have been in the park less than 4 hours to get a raincheck and it’s only good for the same park. Luckily, we did everything there was to do. It was a great time but the rain just killed the buzz.

We just left like everybody else. There were a few stragglers chillin’ on lawn chairs under the awnings by the wave pool. They paid for 8 o’clock and it looks like they were gonna get their money’s worth. I was looking forward to wrapping up all my pics and vid and getting back on all the rides with damn near 2 hours to spare if skies stayed clear. And since everyone left cuz of the rain, there’d be no wait. But the rain stuck around. Usually the rain comes and goes and the sun comes back out and it’s back in business time in less than an hour. Didn’t happen for us.

If you want refreshments other than water, the park sells big, branded cups for around 10 bucks and you get unlimited refills on soda and shit. You actually gotta scan the cup to get the refill. They’re way of making sure people don’t bring empty bottles to mooch. But there’s ways around everything if you’re an opportunist. Food options were bountiful and diverse but Aquatica’s got ‘em all beat with their unlimited deal. This Disney food wasn’t very fulfilling so you had to go back and get more. I understand that business aspect but once you’ve had a taste of Aquatica’s offerings, your standards go up. I want food to taste good but, more importantly, to fill me up. Disney doesn’t offer the latter on the cheap.

Lots of talent in the park too. Nothing above 8 though. Score opportunities exist too if you strike up a convo with the right chick (or guy for the ladies reading this). Lots of spots to do business if you’re inclined. Remember, these are mostly tourists. You’ll never hear from or see them ever again so choose wisely! We did see some nasty lookin’ chicks. Fat, balding, older guys. Cellulite city. Saggy, hanging tits. Melanoma central. In other words, the usual. There’s the pretty ones and then there’s the bottom-of-the-totem-polers who make up the majority of the world. There was a decent mix here. Of exception was a blonde euro chick we saw walking, a spanish teen (face looked 16, body was 20) we got on a tube ride with, and another spanish chick with humongous mammories we saw in the parking lot. The teen (from New York who was with her skinny, ugly friend) was the best opportunity but she wasn’t worth the risk. I chose wisely!

The lines were short for us cuz we got there early but midday the wait time gets up to an hour. So get there early if you can. That’s how we got to do everything in such a short time. Not much else to say. Can’t even express in words how much the rain was a complete bummer on the experience. It just swooped in and sucked the fun right out of the whole park. And there’s nothing that can be done about it either. It’s that time of year here in Florida when it rains every single day, sometimes all day, and on rare occasions all week. All the more reason for you to get there early since it typically doesn’t start raining till mid-to-late afternoon. That’s the best piece of advice I can give.

I’ll have more new tv shows posted this week but of the ones I’ve watched so far, two of them stick out for reasons other than quality. Do Not Disturb and Pretty Handsome are two completely different shows yet both are produced by Fox. Now, could this be a reason that Niecy Nash (needs to update her site) and Robert Wagner are in both? In DND (top pic), Wagner is a hotel manager, Nash is the HR top dog. He’s her boss. In PH (bottom pic), Wagner runs a doctor’s office, Nash is the secretary. He’s her boss (and more) there too. Wagner is practically the same in both parts. I hadn’t seen him since Hope & Faith went off the air (and if you’re a Megan Fox fan then you might wanna give the show a try). Nash is (in)famous lately for that giant, rotund ass in Reno 911. I watched DND and then watched PH and was like, “Huh?” Kinda weird.

DND started out slow and was heavily clichéd but it grew on me after about 10 minutes and I watched it all the way through. Since Jerry O’Connell is here now, I guess that means no more Carpoolers. That sucks. I loved that show. That’s probably the one shining moment of the strike is that this show got a full season. I enjoyed it while it was here. Thanks, writers, for being a bunch of crybaby idiots! The DND plot was strong enough but the acting and comedic delivery were lacking. The show could be stronger. If they make the right changes, I might give it a regular whirl when/if it premieres. I didn’t care for PH. It was interesting but not something I’d watch on the reg. I really have no complaints about it. They developed all the characters and wrapped up all the plot points in one ep and that’s pretty rare. But this type of show just wasn’t my cup of tea. Got nothing to do with the trannies and shit. Just not something I’d watch week to week. It doesn’t appeal to me and wouldn’t keep my interest. But if this type of show floats your boat, you’ll probably like it.

I found out why Adobe product trials aren’t available till July 1st here. Their own fuck up. But they’ve got a fix for it. I’ll just avoid all the bullshit and wait till next month to get Illustrator. And hopefully Acrobat 9 will be available at that time too. Gives me more time to prep for what I wanna do with them.

On last week’s So You Think You Can Dance results show, Flo Rida was performing. He lost pretty much all cred with me cuz he got caught lip-syncing. He moved the mic from his mouth yet he was still rapping? And after that, he held it so close to his mouth it looked like he wanted to suck on it. He did that to hide the fact that he wasn’t really rapping live. What is this, Soul Train? Didn’t help that the camera was all close up on his face either. The Pussycat Dolls weren’t much better the week before but they were at least singing their own shit (horribly at that). Backing lyrics is one thing. Straight up lip-syncing is just unacceptable to me. If you call yourself an artist, live up to that title and perform the way you’re supposed to. 

Taco Bell has offended me! Peep the receipt. Look in the middle on the right. What’s that say? “God Bless U All.” Say what? What the fuck is that bullshit doing on a receipt? MY motherfucking receipt at that! I mean, sure, the Frutista tasted excellent. Even got a brain freeze from it. But shit man, they gotta mix organized religious beliefs into their business plan now? Is that a company-wide decision or some fanatic manager trying to spread the word? NOT Cool! Okay, okay, I wasn’t really offended but I’d rather not see shit like that on the piece of paper that confirms my fast food order and how much my credit card got charged, ya dig?

Had to pass on FXE again this past weekend cuz the person I was going with shit on me…for the last time! And I didn’t wanna go alone. Plus no one else in my inner and outer circle was gonna be there. Don’t worry FXE, next time. We’re gonna make this work somehow. If you manage to stay in biz, that is.

Reading Akira now but that’s only because I’m missing issues from the Supremeverse comics. Had to stop with Squadron Supreme: Nighthawk. The writing was great but I think it coulda benefited from an extra issue to tie up the few loose ends left behind. It felt kinda rushed. The final showdown between Nighthawk and Whiteface (Marvel’s version of The Joker) moved too fast and then it just ended. I’m not knocking Daniel Way. He was up to par with plot and realistic dialogue the whole way through. But I still don’t think the complete story was told the way it shoulda been. A last double-sized issue or an extra issue woulda made that series feel whole.

Akira is a superb read thus far. Moves kinda fast due to limited dialogue but that’s fine. It fits. Each panel serves its purpose. The art is very detailed. The plot doesn’t really slow down. It keeps moving. The characters are limited in number but the few players involved all serve their purpose. Otomo’s panel style reads like a storyboard. Every movement, lighting, expressions, it’s all there. Easily translatable for the big screen adaptation. The only prob I have is I’ve caught some grammar and spelling mistakes. The first book was error free. The second one (a third printing) was littered with a handful of mistakes. How the fuck? And this is the third printing! I’m on book 3 now and caught a couple errors. That’s ridiculous. Fire that editor! I doubt seriously that a true translation would account for such errors. And if those mistakes existed in the original work, at least let a nigger know. But I seriously doubt they did. Fire that editor!

Since it’s my birthday weekend and I’m gonna be at Blizzard Beach the whole day Friday and I don’t have time to fast-track the new media updates this week, I’m gonna have to do it on Saturday. So it’s gonna be a day late. Sorry.

Anybody buy any of the new Incredible Hulk toys? If so, why? They suck. Here’s why: Let’s look at the basic figure. Front and back shots are here. Notice the actual toy has some brown on the body while the pic on the back of the box has none. The shade of green is different along with the pants color. Even the face is different as you can see here. And the foot joints have a different color from the legs. They’re the same color as the pants which you can see here. Yet the pic on the back shows consistent green legs. No miscoloring.

Now let’s look at the Mega Clap version here. Other than skin and pants color differences, everything looks okay, right? Wrong! Look closer. The toy’s body is a different shade of green from parts of the arms and legs. Don’t know bout you, but peep the faces here. The one on the left resembles the back of the box pic (on the right) the most. Look at the eyes of the one in the middle. They should call that one “Glass Eye Hulk.” Yet it’s the same version. Peep the legs here. Miscolored joints like the previously mentioned version.

Then there’s the Power Punch version here. The skin coloring is actually a bit brighter and looks better in my opinion. And we get yet another pants color. Check out the faces here. What the fuck? Is this “Bell’s Palsy Hulk?” At least they got the leg joint color right. Packaging is one thing. The actual toy inside is a completely different story in these cases. Hasbro really dropped the ball with these. Too many inconsistencies. Practically every toy I have, I’ve never seen anything wrong with them that didn’t match the pic on the box. These? Good god, quality control must’ve been high or drunk or both. Not even a purple pants Hulk! There’s the artist rendering on the front with wispy bangs, the toy itself, and then the toy on the back of the box all highlighted and shit. If the plain Hulk toy looked like the one on the back, I woulda bought that with no hesitation. But since these toys suck so bad, he can stick that “steel” beam weapon wear the sun don’t shine. And it’d probably fit too.
