Comic Books need a little hate every now and then. Listen to the original Comic Book Hating podcast, featuring DJ Sloofus, Schooly G, Umbrellaman, and a host of others.

This episode is Umbrellicious, with not three, not four, not five, but only one spotlighted tune from the nation's latest craze, the Umbrellaman Players Express. Right here is the only place you can hear their brand new cut, "Theme from Beer." True, you have to trudge through fifteen minutes or so of pure crap to get to it, but believe us, it's worth the wait. Or is it? Depends on how long you're waiting, really. B/W reviews of "Osamu Tezuka's 'Blackjack'" volume one, and another one of those retarded Star Wars contests. The track is dropping right here, right now!

Hey Ho, Funneroonies! It seems the media is currently enjoying a "love/hate" relationship with the humble Hero! Whether it be NBC's Heroes, the BBC's No Heroics, or "We Can Be Heroes," (the Royal Penal Colony's attempt), there are men in tights everywhere! For this special episode of the Comic Book Haters podcast, the critical eye is drawn upon the first volume of NBC's HEROES graphic novel. It's not very graphic, and it's certainly not too novel, but here it is for all of your eager ears....

Back on track, and back on the Crap! That's a clever little way to describe the latest episode of the Comic Book Haters podcast! In fact, it's so exciting, only an exclamation point at the end of every sentence can even come close to doing it justice! Perhaps one sentence with the customary period is to be expected, however. While the podcast is downloading, grab an ice-cold brewski, partner! You're gonna need it, because an old friend is back, starting this episode! No, don't even ask; it's not Cappy! Forum member Greg G returns with a look at some crazy comix, reviewed From the Crapper! It's Hawkalicious, baby!

Ahhhhhhh.....that's better. Niiiiiice and quiet. Looks like things are lightening up a bit here. How's about a whole show where you don't get bitched at? Even better than that, we talk about comix through the whole show! No, I'm serious!
Unfortunately, it's only half as long as usual.
You gotta take the good with the bad, y'all...and determine which is which.
Either way, you'd be screwed in the head if you didn't download this here pudcast.
And, make sure yer smiler ain't broke.

For Halloween, the CBH crew have hand-crafted an entirely organic experience for each and every one of their listeners (except those on the left-coast). A video special, featuring a surprise appearance by the newest CBH character: the mysterious Bagman! Yes, folks, Bagman has returned from nowhere to give off some pleasant vibery and indecent proposals. The spooks, ghouls, ghosts and goblins of yesteryear will all be present, though certainly not accounted for. If none of this makes any sense, it's probably because it's all being written as quickly as these shriveled hands can type. Just download the fucking video special, won't you? Happy Halloween, fuddruckers!

Hey, I've got a great idea! You tell your mom you're stayin' at my house, an' I'll tell MY mom I'm stayin' at YOUR house, and we'll hang out at the park, smoke and catch toads, so's we can shove firecrackers in their mouth, an'...hey, where'ya goin'? Well, we can at least download this here pudcast from eclipsespilce, and laugh our nutz off, right? Allright, cool. I'll go score a lid. Meet you back here in 30 minutes.

Sloofus:
Since the late Greco-Roman period, mankind has celebrated the Fifty. Whether it be doubled, trebled, or merely laying by itself, a five followed by naught is not a force to be reckoned with. For their hundred and fiftieth episode, the Comic Book Haters take a walk down reckoning lane, as they present some of the greatest moments of the show's rich history. Hosted by a slew of CBH regulars (and quite a few irregulars), the CBH 150th Special Spectacular features a plethora of choice cuts, which have been carefully selected at random. It's a special double-sized, media-savvy, week-late celebration, and you're all invited. Except for you, Cappy.

Schooly:
Can you believe it, listener(s)? We've pumped out 150 episodes of this shit. And you keep coming back for more. Well, the joke really is on you because we put so little thought and effort into this episode, we're practically STEALING your money! Fuck you, asshole(s). You'll be so pissed that you paid good money for this shit that you'll be demanding we pay you back for time and suffering, too.

Ok, I've just been informed that not only do you, dear listener(s), not pay for this podcast, but I'm also not getting paid. What the fuck. No wonder Sloofus looks at me like I'm fucking crazy when I bitch about him giving me my checks.

Well, fuck it all. If anyone needs me, I'll be hiding in the park, taking pictures of Umbrellaman sniffing bicycle seats at the bike rack.

Just click here to download this piece of shit.

INTERNET, USA: Shitsville, NJ. The Comic Book Haters Partnership Organization Group announced earlier this evening that it would soon be offering up a new, exciting form of podcast interactionship. Yet another 'special' will see distrubution to honor an unknown landmark. "It's a real treat," said a member of the inner board. When asked about the veracity of the situation, he later replied "I can honestly say, these boys have blown away all the stops for this one. I mean it. Really. Stop laughing."
Though the exact nature of the project remains unknown, even by the producers, a few facts have surfaced. First, the next episode marks the crew's 150th endeavor. "That's not really true," remarked Frank Firtzoff, noted CBH historian. "When you add up all the interviews, side projects, and all that type shit, it's probably closer to 200. Hey, stop laughing!"
There's some hate mixed in with the love this week. EclipsespilcE bashes your head in for 15 minutes with his insane views on how the world should be, backed up with an unhealthy dose of hardcore. Talking about the music AND the rant. But, don't fret (diddlydiddlywangwang), he comes back around to tell you the intimate details of a beautiful underground comix masterpiece that you will never be able to find...we dare ya. It's meat is murder and meef comix this week on straight up yer butt CHECK YER HEAD...COMIX. You have been warned.

Well, here we go again, folks. In rare, rear form tonight, EclipsespilcE winds up his two part love letter to Richard Corben (Platonic, for sure), and makes fun of himself BEFORE you get a chance to (nyahhh...). When asked his opinion of last week's episode, Mr. Corben had this to say:

"Hi [EclipsespilcE],
I appreciate your podcast activities concerning Corben. It is very
flattering and I thank you, but I look forward to your efforts on more
worthy subjects.
Best wishes,
Richard Corben."

FOOL! Your humility is lost on me, Sir! I know not even the meaning of the word! In fact, I've totally lost track of my own train of thought!! Have at thee, with the compendium of yer own work, tossed back at you like a flying cream pie! There's only one stooge on this stage, and it's gotta be me, 'cause I got pie ALL OVER mah face, dangit!

Download this shit right here, sucker.

...and, that about wraps it up! Much thanks to Brad Hodges of Derivative Comix for creating 30-some episodes of the Funnybook Dungeon webcomic. Be sure to check out his website for any future creative endeavors. Aspiring webcomic artists, if you'd like to pick up the baton, shoot an email to thecomicbookhaters@yahoo.com. Be sure to wash your hands first, though. You don't know where that baton has been.

This one's a real mind-bender, folks. Recorded in the aftermath of Ike, from the eye of the storm in Houston, Tx. (no foolin', y'all. Eye of Ike passed right over my roof), comes another half-hour of trippy, freaky rants about stuff your daddy never told you about. Underground Comix. Equpped with a twisted sense of humor, and expensive recording equipment (not really), eclipsespilce tries to pickle your head and tickle your fancy. Come on, it's too late to turn back, now. Click here to download episode three.

Here it is, the second episode of Season Two of the Comic Book Haters Indie Video Spotlight. The focus turns to Weapon Brown, the Charlie Brown/post-apocalyptic epic from creator Jason Yungbluth. As usual, DJ Sloofus (resident comic fan) is joined by Umbrellaman (resident partial-comic fan) and Schooly G (resident comic hating asshole) to discuss the pros and cons of this particular series. If you've ever wanted to know what someone who hates comic books thinks about a comic series that they haven't even read before, look no further. The future is here, and it looks an awful lot like the past. The critics are raving about this current season, so don't be left out in the cold. Click here to watch the show.

Another half hour of drunken insanity with your friend EclipsespilcE. We get down, and talk about head comix from the early 70's, and listen as his redneck accent ebbs and flows with the tide of Guinness Extra Stout in his system, and revel in the beauty and wonderment that is underground comix. In this episode, there is no intro or outro, just 30 minutes of silliness from EclipsespilcE, and an intense love for underground comix. Well, what the heck are you waiting for? Download it, already!
