This week, Bryan Intihar joins the 1UP Yours crew...permanently. And joining us on a temporary basis is our old friend and Gamasutra.com Features Editor Christian Nutt. The guys tackle a surprisingly hefty amount of content, including Devil May Cry 4, NFL Tour, Peggle for iPod, and what will eventually be known as Yakuza 3. Then the discussion turns to the games of 2008, specifically what we think is receiving a little too much attention, and what isn't receiving enough. Oh, also: the December NPDs and throwing tomatoes at Garnett during GDC.

Gamevideo's David Ellis also comes along to give the perspective of how the show looked from the outside. After a week off to recuperate and take in some Holiday cheer 1UP Yours returns to ring in the New Year with John Davison and Simon Cox joining Shane and Garnett for the show. While the group kicks off '08 with plenty to talk about, we learned a little lesson about iPhones and their effect on recordings. You know that buzzing noise some cell phones cause on speakers? Yeah, iPhones can do that for extended stretches. To spare you that annoyance we edited out the stretches with the worst buzzing, but that winds up with a few strange edits. So when you hear the subject abruptly change, well, now you know what happened. Fortunately, most of the show came through ok, and there's plenty in it to get you talking too from Garnett expressing his disappointment with Assassin's Creed when he finally got around to trying it to the guys recapping their hits and misses from the '07 predictions. And of course, the '08 prognostication is sure to raise a few eyebrows. Grab the download and let the New Year finally begin. It's '08, confirmed!

With all the holiday spirit in the air, not to mention the glasses, 1UP Yours continues to cut its epic swath through the season. As promised, Jeff Cannata from the joins Shane and Garnett with a fresh take on what he's been playin'. He fits right in jumping right into the think of things and wasting no time challenging popular opinion on Mass Effect. And in the fourth chair David "Big Fun" Ellis from Game Videos makes his 1UP Yours debut in classic style raising eyebrows with his less than stellar opinion of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue imported from Japan. Back from a weekend with family Garnett continues the theme, pilling on to FFXII Revenant Wings. But lest it all go downhill the guys get to talk about several great games as well, including Shane offering a few more tidbits about Devil May Cry 4. Speaking of Shane, he's homeward bound next week, so he and Jeff start the 1UP Yours look back at 2007 that we'll continue next week as well. And in news the group checks in on everything from the new Duke Nuke 'Em Forever teaser video to the cool new updates to the PS3 and PSP firmwares. Throw a log on the fire, get comfy, and enjoy the holidays with 1UP Yours!

On the 8th day of Christmas NPD Group gave to me, 466,000 PS3s. Yes, it's numbers time once again, and Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, and Mario Galaxy are leading the Holiday charge. Garnett, Shane, Bryan, and Andrew also go on a Wii bender with Zack and Wiki, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and Super Mario Galaxy. There's more Burnout Paradise talk, as well, and we top it off with some disapproving looks for Gamecock's antics at the Spike TV VGAs.

December arrives on the 1UP Yours show in style with Games for Windows magazine editor Shawn Elliott and 1UP's reviews editor (and former master of the wheels of steel) Andrew Pfister joining Shane and Garnett. With the mountain of holiday releases still only partially scaled Whatcha Been Playin again takes center stage on the mic. Shawn begins with a quick look at the surprisingly similar, and mediocre, Soldier of Fortune Payback and History Channel Presents the Battle for the Pacific. Moving quickly on from that Garnett joins in for a comparison of Unreal Tournament 3 on PC versus PS3. Andrew shares his enjoyment of Super Mario Galaxy and...Bridge Builder? Shane then regales the group with his tales of playing Culdcept Saga coming this spring for Xbox 360 and trying out EA's new Wii mini-game collection, Ninja Reflex. And that's before digging into a news discussion that begins with an examination of what Andrew terms the Gerstmann affair, settles in to discuss the Activision Blizzard deal and the new GTA IV trailer, and even has a few minutes for the VGAs and the state of videogame awards shows. Download it now, grab a frosty beverage, and enjoy!

The four horsemen saddle up for a post-Thanksgiving ride through the cornucopia of holiday games still to be played. Mark, John, Shane, and Garnett begin with a closer examination of multiplayer Call of Duty 4. From there John tells some battle stories from Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the Wii before detouring to Konoha village for Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. And then, in ninja-like fashion, John slips away to answer an urgent call. This leaves the door open for Jeremy Parish to join in and he slips naturally into the group with his take on Mass Effect. From there talk swerves to Burnout Paradise which Shane has been playing along with Uncharted. And Garnett catches up with Kane and Lynch. From the message boards the continuing art display of drawing your favorite game moment in MS Paint gets some love before diving into the first hints of sales numbers coming from the first week of holiday shopping. That discussion kicks off a news segment that covers the fortunes of all three of the major players and winds up with a look at the Fall update for the Xbox 360 dashboard. Grab the download, get comfy, and get listening now.
