With Reality TV it looks as if Donald Trump is the champ. Unfortunately Donald Trump's depiction of corporate America is so far from the truth that it is no wonder anyone watches that show all. There's a book written by Stephen King called The Running Man He wrote the book in 1982, and in 1987 it was made into a rather good film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I remember the first time I watched that film I thought it was an interesting piece of science fiction. The thought of people being hunted down and eliminated/killed for national TV was very unique, and a bit far fetched.
Anything that makes a splash like the "Reality TV" boom is bound to bring out the skeptics. What's most interesting about this hot genre in programming is that the skeptics are both the buyer and the seller. The viewing audience and the Networks both ask the fearful question, "How long can this last?"
Is it me or are we seeing more and more former celebrities and celebrities on the C or D list on television nowadays? Practically anywhere you look on television you can find former stars trying to make a comeback.
