The exotic grand tourer will be on display at the Paris International Car Show in October. The hardtop convertible is powered by Ferrari’s 4.3-liter V8, producing 460 horsepower. It’s not known if the car will be marketed as simply “Ferrari California,” or as “Ferrari F430 GT California,” as a recent trademark filing suggested. From April 4, the most recent model in the successful Boxster series will be celebrating its first home appearance at the 18th Auto Mobil International (AMI) in Leipzig. The city is home to Porsche’s second production location, complementing the main factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. At the motor show there are other highlights to be appreciated, too: the innovative power train of the future Cayenne, with its Full Parallel Hybrid drive giving particularly low fuel consumption, and the Porsche RS Spyder racing car. The two-door model replaces the hatchback offered as a part of the previous-generation Focus lineup. For the most part, the Focus Coupe is identical to its sedan counterpart, minus two doors. A lot of things could happen in the next 12 months and the Camaro we get in 2009 may not share much with the concept version first revealed in 2006. Fortunately, these new spy shots show that designers have kept most of the lines of the original concept but what’s worrying is GM is keeping a close lid on any details about the interior.
