I get emails from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) about what our government is up to and thought this one was very interesting. I sign petitions all the time to end this or stop that but this time is a little different. Certain key figures in Bush's torture team, including John Yoo and former Attorney General John Ashcroft, have finally agreed to testify about their role in authorizing torture. I was so pissed off watching videos of how our government is ruining our country that this video was a good comic relief ... thought I would share.

This is the first time I heard of this, thought it was sad. It is just a different kind of way the government is holding benefits from anyone who volunteered, even someone who died in the towers trying to save lives! Here is a little bit from the article:

"After a five-year fight, the U.S. government has dropped its effort to prevent a volunteer firefighter killed at the World Trade Center from receiving a federal death benefit for public safety officers who die on the job.

The decision is a belated victory for the family of Glenn Winuk, a longtime member of the Jericho Volunteer Fire Department who rushed to the burning towers on Sept. 11, 2001, to tend to victims of the terrorist attack.

Winuk, 40, was working at his Manhattan law office the morning of the attacks, but he grabbed a medical bag and raced to pitch in with the rescue effort. He died when the skyscrapers collapsed; when his body was found in the rubble, months later, he was wearing surgical gloves and a stethoscope."

I have ordered Loose Change Final Cut and it should be here Monday or soon after! I can not wait to see it, the trailer looked very good. It looks like it has a lot more information in it and better evidence showing we need a new investigation, like the new film uses the 911 commission investigation videos to catch people in lies. Anyone who has gotten this dvd from me in the past can hit me up next week, I will have copies burned by then!

I handed out about 35 DVDs at my new job on September 10Th and 11Th (i couldn't get the day off so I made the best of it and talked to everyone there). A couple of people wanted to share the video with family and friends that speak Spanish so I promised I would put a link on here to a Google video that someone added Spanish subtitles to. I got a email from my father offering to help pay my way to New York so that I can be there for the 6Th anniversary of the September 11Th tragedy, but since I figured I was staying here, I have been working on what I am doing here. I have been putting together a flier with some info on reopening the 9-11 investigation that has nothing to do with any conspiracy theories and I have been also burning dvds like crazy trying to build up a stock pile! I even had a couple people from my new job say they would help spread the word on the anniversary of 9/11 with me so I have even gotten a little excited about staying here and doing something because it will be larger than last year!

Part of me wants to be apart of the huge gathering in New York, the larger the number the better chance of getting media coverage but if i stay here i have the chance to touch people personally and open peoples eyes on a much deeper scale. I am very torn and need to make a decision fast!

It is about time someone demanded the government take responsibility for September 11th, even if it is to avoid being sued!

Okay, looks like I am not going to New York for the 6th anniversary of the September 11th tragedy because I am just plain broke! I really wanted to go to protest, attend the premiere of Loose Change Final Cut and to show my support for the fundraiser for 9/11 first responders.

Anyways, I am going to be passing out DVDs and flyers in Pembroke Pines, Florida (where I live) and wanted to know if there was anyone interested in helping spread the word! Last year, on September 11th, I passed out about 100 DVDs just by myself and hope to pass out more with help!!!

This story was on my homepage a couple of days ago talking about terrorism statistics since September 11th. Here is a little bit of the article:

"Federal prosecutors counted immigration violations, marriage fraud and drug trafficking among anti-terror cases in the four years after 9/11 even though no evidence linked them to terror activity, a Justice Department audit said Tuesday.
Overall, nearly all of the terrorism-related statistics on investigations, referrals and cases examined by department Inspector General Glenn A. Fine were either diminished or inflated. Only two of 26 sets of department data reported between 2001 and 2005 were accurate, the audit found."

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, in a summary of the secret security plan said,“The active protection against airborne threats is addressed by other federal organizations, including the military.”

Basically the nuclear plants are not responisble for stopping an air attack, instead leaving that up to the military. Plant operators instead should focus on limiting radioactive releases and public exposure from any such airborne attack, the agency said in a revised defense plan for America’s 103 commercial nuclear plants.

Well, I really hope the secret part has to do with fixing the errors of September 11th. And how did this take five years after 9/11 to become plan and get approved?

Ad is deployed in battle over 9/11 memorial

The debate over how to list the names of the 2,979 people killed on September 11th is the latest and most divisive issue surrounding the memorial.

I just realized that I never posted the picture of me handing out free Loose Change DVD's on the five year anniversary of September 11th, so here you go!

I started watching "Screw Loose Change" for the first time and will be posting my thoughts soon, all I can say for now is the movie was better than I thought it would be, which is not much.

I also just saw this story on my home page Warrantless mail searches may be allowed which scares me not because they want to read my mail (all I get is bills!) but that the government keeps passing bills that are slowly taking away our rights. Do not bother saying anything against it or September 11th is bound to be thrown in your face.
