Welcome to my family's blog! Well, to be honest, it's mainly Tessa and Tate's blog. However, it does have a little of myself, Angi, & Epoch tossed in. Please leave a comment on any post so I know what people like in order to steer the blog in that direction. Hope to see you visit again!
  Can you see Tessa's first two teeth? Big smile! I have no idea what is going on here. He acts like his mother. Two of the most beautiful girls in the world. I have been getting the feeling lately that Tessa will grow up liking trains, cars, tractors, crocodiles, and the color green. She is ALWAYS interested in what big brother is doing and it is normally very humors to her also. She will giggle at almost anything he does.    BEFORE   and AFTER   Today we went to Center Grove Orchard and had a blast! Tate LOVED playing in the corn pool and jumping on the jumping pillow. (I liked the jumping pillow too as you can see from some pictures below) We also got to see a lot of animals, go on a hay ride, and pedal tractors. Of course Tate had to ride the John Deere one. He also really liked hiding in the hay maze and the corn maze was 4 acres big so that was a little over whelming but a lot of fun. Tessa really liked watching everything mainly the chickens.

Bouncing on the jumping pillow Tate liked that I was able to join him on the jumping pillow.  Last weekend Thomas the tank engine came to town. Tate got to see Thomas pull in and got his picture taken with him. He even used some of his money that he made selling cookies the day before to buy a new Thomas toy. He had a great time.
  I don't think Angi realizes how much effort I put into watching the kids when she is not around. I wear them out. Here is my evidence that she can home to the other week. Now of course she would say that I failed due to neither of them had a bath, the dishes were not done, and toys were spread everywhere. To me that is hogwash. I believe that since the house was still standing and that we were all alive and healthy when she returned I view it as a win!
   Tessa and her friend Emma from day care ended up wearing the same outfits today. Here are a few pictures. I know the pictures with her on the ground have her in a different outfit. She got the other one dirty. :)       I have decided to let my mom guest blog for me. So here is the picture she sent and the story."This is so cute !!! Tate ran his race at the Pufferbilly days in Boone, BUT, the starter said at the start of the race that when you get to the finish line you will get some ice cream. SO, when he finished he wanted his ice cream NOT a piece of paper to go get ice cream. He enjoyed his medal but was very upset with the ice cream bit, SO, Eric go get that child some ice cream. He has one on the coupon picked out and was excited to go get it. Will have to set that starter straight next year or tell Tate ahead of time what's up."  Tate, Grandma, and I went to the state fair today. They had free admission to anyone who came from 5:00am to 8:30am. It should have said anyone who could make it there by then. We took off in plenty of time however it took us an hour and a half to make it the last three or four miles due to traffic! HORRIBLE. Anyway we made sure we had a good time. Here is some proof. This is the start of the day when everyone was rested and ready to go.  State Fair food!  Grandma with her best Cy impression.  We saw this sign at one of the rides Tate went on. Notice the LAST line.  We still let grandma take him on it anyway. Good thing they didn't know her.  Where else but the Iowa State Fair can you see tractor square dancing?  Tate was able to talk grandma into getting him a John Deere toy before we left.  I know I am not in any of the pictures. I was busy taking them. I will post some of me if I get any sent to me. I believe there is a good one of Tate and I smelling the flowers.  What has Tessa been doing? practicing holding her toys so she can soon take Tate's from him,  hanging out with big brother,   and working on laughing at daddy.  So what has Tate been up to lately? playing with his money from Great Grandma.  sending out a message to grandpa, (Can you see it?)  eating doughnuts on weekend mornings,  getting a tattoo,  and getting a hair cut.    Here is a current picture of Tessa. She was watching her daddy and grandpa finish a recent 5K.      There has been an old tractor ride going on the past few days here in the surrounding towns. The 500 plus tractors all stay over night here in town at the fair grounds. So Tate and I went to check them out and he got to ride on a few.    Tate and Epoch got to bring in summer by playing in their own pools. Epoch made a MUCH bigger mess of his.     Here is Tessa watching big brother fish, trying it herself, and showing everyone her first catch.     Here are a few new pictures. Tate acting weird in a pool at grandma's. And an individual of Tessa     Here are a few pictures of HWY 30 as it is closed due to the Des Moines river being out of it's banks and actually over the bridge at the moment. It was really something to see. Tate thought it was pretty neat.   Some updated pictures    Here are some pictures that I took during an early morning run last week. This is a park that Tate likes to go and play at. He really likes to take grandma there. The second picture you can see the play set that Tate likes to play on. This was REALLY a of water!    Are they getting bigger by the minute or is it just me? And does my mom realize that she still has a blog? I mean come on. Since her last post she has even had a new granddaughter. So I would think there is something she could post about. :) Your welcome mom.     Here are pictures of Tessa since there have not been any for awhile.   Epoch got a bath today with a little help from Tate. The video is of Tate and I rubbing in the shampoo and the picture is the results. A clean white dog again.  |
